Hotels near Wondelgem Station in Ghent

Unexpectedly good! The hotel is very close to the station. After arriving from Brussels South Station, it's about a five-minute walk to the hotel. The environment is super nice, and there's free bottled water downstairs. The breakfast was amazing, very Western-style. I stayed for three days and had a fantastic experience. It's about a kilometer from the city center and the Bell Tower, a pleasant walk away. The city has shopping areas. There's an ice cream shop downstairs at the hotel that's always busy, and diagonally opposite there's a Chinese supermarket, with Chinese restaurants and noodle shops nearby. It's really great, definitely my top choice for Ghent! The price is reasonable too. The room cards are all pink, super cute and thoughtful. There's a very humorous and attentive man at the front desk. He told me that after a certain time at night, only the back door would be open and the front desk would close. My flight was very early, and he also told me how to check out. His English was excellent!

Centrally located in the old town, right by the Pont Saint-Michel and the River Lez, the bustling surroundings are undeniable. Bus and tram stops are conveniently located right out back; I'd recommend taking public transport from the train station. The hotel itself evokes a castle-like feel, stepping into a centuries-old historic building, which can feel a bit dark and oppressive. The staff were decent, but you have to ask them to help with luggage, as there's a small set of steps between the ground floor and the elevator. The room didn't have toiletries, but the decor was thoughtfully arranged. The room was on the smaller side, but acceptable.

Funky hotel where you can see creativity in every corner . Spotlessly clean every where. Staff are supper friendly and helpful. Water fountain on the floor we are staying , tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryer in the room. Iron board in the corridor if required . They thought about every detail to make guest’s life easy .Definitely stay here if we come back to Ghent again. 20 min walk to center of the Ghent but we enjoyed the stroll !

The room is spacious and comfortable, the bed is comfortable, the view is wide, the sleep is good, the staff is warm and thoughtful, the service is good, the hotel is in a good location, the transportation is convenient, the breakfast is rich and rich, the room is clean

Hands down best view from the room! Booked another night as I had a really good impression and experience - wish I had stayed longer! Bed is comfy and the room is...roomy enough. The ladies at the front were exceptionally accommodating for when I had issues checking out and checking back in. Staff is overall awesome! The only shower room is fairly well kept. For a small amount there will be everything that you will/might need: from towels, laundry/dryer, tea/coffee/beer/snacks, luggage storage, to kayaks. Didn't have to use the common kitchen but it seemed equipped. Really can't go wrong with the location - everything is within reach and the are is just simply beautiful day/night.

The place is very clean, and I loved the soft mattress and pillows. The breakfast staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.”

The hotel is located quite far outside the city for sightseeing. However, you can get into the city reasonably well with the T4 and T2, and you also save yourself the hassle of registering for an environmental sticker, which is a huge advantage. Furthermore, the location is quiet, and you can reach the sea in about an hour.

Rooms are not the same as shown on the website. Location is 100 meter walk from Hotel de Flandre, the opposite side. The receptionist said as friendly to walk us to the other hotel building called City Garden Hotel. It's more motel like hotel. Staircases are very slippery when it rains, if you choose not to use the lift. Rooms are not well maintained, light bulbs not working, safe not functional in one room, or low battery in the other room changed. We reported it to the reception, offered to changd one room, this time there is no toilet door??!!! And lots of diets and hair here n there... Honestly overall experience is a bit disappointing for what you paid, thus not good value for money.

Ideal location if you have an event at Flanders Expo. Easily accessible by public transport. Spacious, beautiful, and clean rooms with everything you could possibly need. The beds are wonderfully comfortable! The air conditioning cools perfectly, and the bathroom is super hygienic. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommended!

The boss didn't understand English, it was difficult to communicate, and he charged arbitrarily. He changed my double room to a double bed. The location is next to the tram, there is a tram at about 5:00 in the morning, it is very noisy, I can’t sleep
