Hotels near Blauherd - Rothorn in Zermatt

I could definitely see why this hotel has such high ratings. It's less than a two-minute walk from Zermatt train station. The hotel has a cozy Alpine style, and the room was much larger and more comfortable than I expected. It was great to see that both the room and the bathroom were maintained in pristine condition. The breakfast was truly, truly excellent. It was such a clean and well-presented spread that no further explanation is needed. I was absolutely amazed by the breakfast throughout my entire three-day stay. Another great advantage of this hotel is the afternoon tea time (from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). The coffee, drinks, and soft bread perfectly relieved the pressure of Zermatt's incredibly high prices. This is the best hotel, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance.

Pros: - super good location: the hotel is located near the Tasch station like 1-min walk and can go to Zermatt just 20 mins by train (only 1 stop). Super easy for transporting - the room is clean and big - the aminities are provided (except the toothpaste and toothbrush). There also have a shower gel but I’m not sure if it’s can be shampoo - good breakfast - have Coop at the opposite the hotel (~3-min walk) Cons: - Small bathroom with a sloped ceiling, so you have to bend while showering. - Surprising with an elevator, you have to open the door by yourself and it has no barrier between you and the elevator shaft, you can feel the walls sliding past as it moves.

A 3 minute walk from the train station right off of the Main Street in Zermatt and a block away from McDonald’s lol. Super clean, super cute room. The bathroom was older but I was fine with it bc it was well maintained and clean. They provided a hot water kettle and cup which I used every morning. They didn’t provide coffee, but the Coop market was down the street so I was able to get the things I needed for breakfast. There is a very mini fridge in the room, big enough for small things. I’m a solo traveler so this room was plenty for me. They do have breakfast from, I believe 7a - 10a. Different types of bread, fruit, yogurts, it’s not an American breakfast so don’t Great location, 3 minute walk to the free bus stop to take you to any of the gondolas. Highly recommended. I’d stay here again.

A typical small European hostel, but for Switzerland, this price is fair. The breakfast is quite generous. However, it's pretty far from the train station, which is really inconvenient if you have luggage, unless you're willing to shell out for a taxi within the town. But then again, if I'm staying in a hostel, why would I want to spend extra money on a taxi? Zermatt truly is incredibly beautiful though!!

1. This hotel apartment has no front desk. After 4 pm, it is impossible to manually check-in. The machine can be on the machine. The machine is very slow. We also encountered the problem of credit card payment errors. After the call service staff waited for 15 minutes for people to come over to solve it. The service attitude is very good, but this is really inconvenient, especially after we slipped for a day of snow, and pulled the big box and small box very hard to get here. If it arrives at 4 pm, it is recommended to go to the next Alpen Resort hotel (the message is in the first picture) first check-in and then come over, otherwise you have to be frozen if you can't get in. 😅 2. The hotel is very good, the room is large, you can cook, we ate a few days of white rice can not stand, go to the COOP supermarket next to buy ingredients, make the simplest and most classic tomato scrambled eggs, chili fried meat, green vegetables, very satisfied 🤭 3. The room has a balcony, you can sit on the balcony to watch the snow-capped mountains and the town scenery and drink beer, it must be very pleasant. However, we were too tired to ski for a day and it was very cold, so we didn't enjoy 👻

Check-in is self-service here, but we must have looked a bit lost or stayed too long in the lobby because a staff member promptly appeared to assist us. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite, making us feel right at home. It's conveniently located about 15 minutes from the train station, and at night, you can see plenty of stars. It offers great value for money, especially considering it's newly renovated. I would definitely return for another stay.

Excellent location as per description ie. right across the train station. 2 supermarkets nearby on the right and a Halal Restaurant on the left. Better than staying than in Zermatt itself as it is more ”peaceful” in Tasch. Train service between Tasch and Zermatt is so frequent and punctual, no need to worry. Hotel facilities meeting requirement. Breakfast spread on point. Although, I wished we had the a diff room on a different floor but I guess for upper floors, room configuration would be different.

the location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel.

the location is good, located near the cable car up the matterhorn! we were given a room located in the annex building, which you have to go out into the open before assessing (q inconvenient..). there were also limited amenities (no kettle, no soap etc). the breakfast tho.... was worth it! (-: staff from the kitchen was also proactive and helpful!

The hotel was quite easy to find actually. Just follow the directions on Google Map. We had the family room which was at the top level (2 flight of stairs) and comes with a balcony. Their rooms don't have matterhorn views but the breakfast restaurant has a beautiful and clear view. Very comfy and no frills stay here!
