The hotel's hygiene was excellent; despite its age, it's very well-maintained. However, the bathroom faucet was incredibly difficult to use – very stiff, and you had to twist it twice to get warm water, but then it would immediately turn scalding hot if you twisted it just a little more. The bathroom is arguably the most important part of a hotel room, so this was a really poor experience. I hope they consider replacing the bathroom fixtures.
Another point is that the hotel staff's management and service need significant improvement. Our package included breakfast and dinner. During check-in, I asked the front desk if my child, who is 1.2 meters tall, could eat for free. They even looked at my child and confirmed it was fine. Yet, during dinner, someone came to charge us. I asked why there were such inconsistent statements. They went back and forth three times, verifying and then trying to charge us again. Eventually, I asked for a superior to handle it, and indeed, my child was not charged for dinner. The funniest part was the next day at breakfast: it was just me and my child (the other adult was still sleeping). Someone immediately stopped us at the entrance, saying that if the other adult wanted to eat, we'd have to pay extra... My eyes practically rolled to the back of my head! Is such a large hotel really so worried about a 1.2-meter child drinking an extra glass of milk? With that kind of mindset, I doubt they'll last long. I didn't want to get angry so early in the morning, so I just said, 'Then we won't eat!' Honestly, I've stayed at many hotels in the same tier – Marriott, Hyatt, Le Méridien, Sheraton, etc. – and I've never encountered anything like this. It was quite an eye-opener.

From taking pictures of cockroaches in the room at the front desk to checking out, I only had one sentence to respond and arranged for the guest room aunt to come clean! Until I checked out, there was no mention, not even a word of apology! I have not argued with anyone in the hotel. If the hotel itself handles the problem this way, there is no need for me to waste time looking for an explanation from you. I would also like to know if you report cockroaches crawling on your legs to other hotels in the future, and report this to the hotel, how will you react? Will you leave as quietly as I do?

An absolutely perfect experience that far exceeded my expectations. Five-star recommendation! I came to the hotel solo for some serious gaming. I was so satisfied with my first night that I decided to extend my stay for a second day. Absolutely no issues with the internet speed. The room was spacious and bright, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The shower in the bathroom had fantastic water pressure, absolutely no complaints there. The room also featured floor-to-ceiling windows. There's a convenience store right downstairs. The hotel even has robots, which made getting takeout incredibly convenient. The front desk and housekeeping staff were polite and patiently resolved any issues. Check-in was also very quick. An impeccable stay experience; the environment, hygiene, and service all demonstrated exceptional care and thoughtfulness. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

My first stay at Hampton by Hilton was fantastic! A huge thank you to the lovely and kind lady at the front desk who upgraded my room to one with a balcony. The environment was super comfortable; it was perfect for enjoying some tea and swinging on the swing – very relaxing! The room was very clean, and the hotel has laundry facilities and a gym. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. All the hotel staff were very professional and had excellent service attitudes. 👍👍👍 I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Dongguan in the future.

The location was very convenient, with a shopping mall and many restaurants nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The hotel facilities were clean and well maintained, and the room also felt very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options.
I also appreciated that the room was well soundproofed. The air conditioning noise was not too loud, so I was able to sleep comfortably.

Miss Xie at the front desk was very thoughtful and upgraded my room. The executive suite was a bit too big; I felt like I'd get lost staying there alone! Parking was free once I registered my car. The room was very clean and the decor was quite new. The TV was a Samsung, but maybe there were copyright issues? I couldn't cast directly. I had to call staff to come and set up a casting device. Other than that, everything was great.

Good to have washing machine inside the apartment but extremely limited kitchen utensils. Helpful and friendly staff with good gym facilities. Breakfast is so so though.

The hotel room is quite big. When I entered the hotel to check in, the waiters were very friendly. I went to the elevator quickly. There was an access card. It was a very safe hotel. The price/performance ratio was also very high. It was worth staying. Then I ordered a takeaway. There was a robot delivering the food, which was quite good. There was also a gym.

Environment: The lobby immediately felt bright and refreshing the moment I walked in, with a lovely fragrance. The front desk mentioned that the hotel just opened this year, so everything looks brand new. The greenery around the hotel is beautifully arranged and very relaxing to look at.
Facilities: The rooms are apartment-style, fully equipped with a microwave, induction hob, large fridge, and coffee machine – they even include a washing machine! The biggest surprise was that in addition to tea bags, they also provide daily nuts and crisps. Talk about attention to detail!
Service: The ladies at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly. The restaurant downstairs is also exceptional, serving authentic Cantonese cuisine. Their撈雞 (lo hei chicken),牛仔骨 (braised beef short ribs), and炖汤 (stewed soups) are all fantastic – you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's incredibly good value for money. Next time I visit, I definitely have to try that roasted goose again!
Cleanliness: The hotel is spotlessly clean. The bedding and towels look very new, making them comfortable to use.
The hotel is about an hour's drive from Shenzhen and very close to Songshan Lake. With great food, accommodation, and things to do, it's perfect for a relaxing weekend. I'll definitely be back!

FFILImengxiangchengzhenThe service was truly excellent. Since we had a child with us, they went out of their way to accommodate us by pushing the beds together. We also received a fruit platter, and a butler was available for communication at all times. Getting around was very convenient. The front desk staff were always smiling, making you feel genuinely welcomed. It definitely competes with other international hotel brands. I'll stay here again next time, and I hope the hotel continues to maintain this high level of service.

CCathrin. GI had an amazing stay at Ji hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Songsan area. The environment is exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made the entire stay feel comfortable and relaxing. The hotel features a modern and stylish design, with beautiful interiors that give a very luxurious and contemporary atmosphere.
The room was very spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing plenty of comfort and space to relax after a long day. Everything felt new and well organized, which added to the overall premium experience.
One of the best things about this hotel is its excellent location. It is very convenient to travel anywhere in the city, with many attractions easily accessible nearby. There is also a large shopping mall directly beside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment without needing to travel far. The traffic at this area quite heavy and a lots of cars sound their horn that could be disturbing, however I didn’t experience the noise pollution after late night hence it is acceptable to me.
Their breakfast start from 7am-10am and plenty of choices even though only Chinese style is served. Hopefully their coffee machine is working in the future, as an overseas traveller, coffee is part of our basic need.
One thing I wish to special highlight is about the free laundry, you can view the available machine slots from your room (open the TV and you can see the info). Super convenient! You don’t have to walk all the way to the laundry area to check by yourself.
I would definitely give this hotel a full 5-star rating and look forward to staying here again in the future.

The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action.
Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations
The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered.
Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell
The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it.
Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic
Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby.
Overall:
This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere.

Although the hotel facilities are a bit older, they are very well-maintained and managed, and the staff provides excellent service. Even though it was my child's first time staying here, they said the hotel was great when we left and that we could choose this place again next time we visit Dongguan.

CChaojiwangxiaohuiI rarely write long reviews, but my two-night stay during the ***** New Year holiday was absolutely delightful and exceeded my expectations – excellent! The hardware is superb because their room design is truly unique: no wardrobe, and the sink/vanity area is separate, located outside the main toilet and shower area. The software (service) is also excellent: we were sitting in the lobby on the third floor, enjoying a coffee, when the two on-duty staff members (one male, one female) promptly helped resolve an issue with the coffee machine – commendable! On the second and third days, we went down one floor to the restaurant for breakfast. It was a comfortable experience, and the coffee there was even better than in the lobby. I personally loved their beef congee, and the pickled vegetable side dishes were great. On the second day, I also tried a burrito, which was delicious. You could really feel the dedication of the restaurant staff. If I ever have the chance to visit Humen East again, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel. Upon checking out, I even received a small gift: ”Joy! Peace and Serenity!” My sentiments exactly!

I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service, which kept the room clean and fresh throughout my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, even though I booked one of the more budget-friendly options, which was a pleasant surprise.
One area that could be improved is the lighting control in the room. There is no central switch to dim or turn off the lights, so I had to walk around the room to switch off different lights before going to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom layout separates the toilet from the shower area, requiring a few steps to move between them.
The hotel provides clothes washing services but it’s chargeable and the price is on high side. One piece of normal ladies pant cost RMB50, male pant cost RMB45. If you give the clothes the housekeeping staff before 11am, they will send the clothes back to your room within the same day.
Pullman Hotel also offers several in-house dining options, including Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants within the premises, which made dining very convenient. If you order food delivery , they have the robot machine to send your food to the room, just make sure you indicated the room number clearly. The lift required a room card to access hence the dispatcher will not be able to send the food to your room.
Hotel staff is helpful, I requested them to collect the parcel on my behalf from the locker located at basement and they acting it very fast. Keeping them for me even though the check in date was a week later.
Overall, it was still a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Pullma.

AAkabaka848The hotel's location is great, close to the business district, and it's well-renovated with a good price. You can tell it's recently refurbished as soon as you enter; it's very clean, and the hygiene standards are met. However, some room equipment is a bit old; it seems only the surface was renovated, not the internal wiring and devices. There are no power outlets by the bed, so I had to charge my phone under the desk. Also, the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the controls are surprisingly old-fashioned rotary knobs from twenty years ago, with yellowed plastic. I've stayed at the Huilihua next door, and they have digital control panels. It's really rare to see an AC unit with traditional rotary switches these days.
That said, the hygiene is genuinely good, and the restaurants downstairs are decent, so overall, it was a good experience.
Welcome fruit: It was mentioned, but I couldn't find it and forgot about it by the time I left.
