I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful homestay in the 杨柳青 area of Tianjin, and I can't recommend it highly enough. As a stressed entrepreneur and doctor traveling from Shanghai, this trip was a much-needed break for me, and the homestay exceeded all my expectations.
我最近有幸住在天津杨柳青地区的一家很棒的民宿，我强烈推荐这里。作为一名从上海来的压力很大的企业家和医生，这次旅行对我来说是一段急需的休息时间，而这家民宿远远超出了我的预期。
The 杨柳青 area is incredibly peaceful, offering a serene environment that is perfect for reflection and deep thinking. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing a tranquil oasis where I could relax and recharge.

The design of the homestay is very traditional, showcasing beautiful elements of Chinese architecture. For foreigners wanting to experience authentic Chinese design and culture, this is a fantastic place to stay. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, from the cozy furnishings to the tasteful decor. It felt like a home away from home, which is exactly what you need when you're looking to unwind.

The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made my stay even more enjoyable. They were attentive and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which I truly appreciated.

If you check my other reviews, you'll see that I often travel by train to various cities from Shanghai and stay at different places. Out of all the places I've stayed, this homestay in Tianjin stands out as one of the best. I am confident that I will return here in the future whenever I need a peaceful retreat.

LLizihaochifenniyigeThe service was incredibly attentive and thorough; everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping aunties was all smiles. The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The hallway was very quiet, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. While breakfast wasn't lavish, it offered a good mix of Chinese and Western options, with decent flavors – definitely enough to fill you up. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would choose to stay here again!

GGuest UserEnjoyed our two night stay.The hotel staff is beyond amazing. Very kind and welcoming. Check in was smooth and fast , the staff is very kind,fast and helpful in answering any questions and addressing any issues.
On second day, had an emergency travel to Beijing, Ms Pang Ping and Wang helped organize transport to airport to get subway to Beijing, she kept checking in to see where we had reached on our return back and organized for a car to pick us up since we arrived late at night. She handed us over to the evening staff smoothly to help us with the late night arrival back to the hotel. Mr Wang our driver to the airport spoke English and was helpful in giving us directions to the subway and train station.
The driver, Mr. Chen, very kind man, was already at the airport by the time we arrived to pick us up.
When we got to the hotel, he helped to get a refreshment from the hotel restaurant.
We had an early morning flight and Ms Song Jia and Ms Wang Qian were very kind to give us a wake up call at 4:30am, organize for us a car to the airport and helped me us with our luggage .
The hotel stay overall was comfortable and nice. Slept in the business double room. The rooms are spacious, very clean and are cleaned daily. There’s a self service laundry room at the hotel.
Excellent service and staff.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Excellent facilities and totally worth the stay. Recommended for travelers who want a quiet night stay and also close hotel to the airport 🥰😘

JJuicejuicejuicyWhen I chose to stay in Tianjin, I picked the St. Regis. The Star manager contacted me beforehand to ask about my preferences, whether I was driving, and my check-in time, which was very thoughtful. Even though check-in was at 3 PM, I arrived earlier, and they did their best to arrange an early check-in and upgraded my room.
It was a king room facing the Hai River. The room itself was very spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable. The scent of the toiletries was a lovely herbal fragrance! Any questions I had for the butler were answered promptly, and items were delivered very quickly.
Breakfast was also delicious, a wonderful blend of Western and Chinese cuisines with Tianjin specialties. I especially loved the egg rolls. Plus, they could deliver coffee and tea to my room anytime, which was very convenient!
I just wish there were more convenient and closer parking spots, and it would be even better if the TV had screen mirroring!

Originally we booked another hotel in the city centre, but after considering that we only had around 18hours for the stay due to our flight connection, we decided to book a hotel nearby the airport. We booked our room that was with the window facing hallway.
When we entered, we were happy about the room's cleanliness and its new interior, although they only offered the basic amenities that were toothbrush and a hair comb. They were good enough for us as we had our own other toilet amenities like ear buds. They also offered two types of tea bags. After checking-in,
we left the room and went out. Then the nightmare started after our return.
First of all, after using the toilet, the toilet could not be flushed and was blocked. In addition, the air conditioning in the room was not giving cold air but rather only giving heat. We had to call to the reception. We understood that it was late in the night, around 1am mid night, so we expected no one would be able to fix the toilet and though we only had a few hours ie 5hrs to be in the room before checking out, reception asked us to change the room. We informed about the air conditioning as well and what we got told was we had to turn on the air conditioning for which we did. The answer was not helpful.
They changed our room to another room which was just right next door to the original one. The air conditioning situation was the same. (Photos were attached, pls note the temperature in the room) As we mentioned earlier, we had to leave hotel by 630am and we didn't bother to ask any question again. Obviously, we could not sleep due to the heat in the room.
Secondly, we left the room and went down for the pick up. Hotel offered free drop off/pick up service to/from the airport and shared with others. We appreciated that service. However, if knowing our pick up service was shared, shouldn't the hotel check in advance if the vehicle had enough space to accommodate all suitcases?? As if the hotel wanted to provide this thoughtful and heartfelt service.
No one asked when we booked the drop off service. The vehicle on that morning was only shared by another guest with his one suitcase. We could not accommodate our four suitcases including 2big and 2small suitcases. Though the driver insisted his vehicle could fit. It took time to arrange the space on that vehicle neither we would get comfortable by sitting in such limited space. We did not want the other guest to wait. We decided to call our own transport which was fine as the cost was often at a good price in China.
Lastly, knowing our departure from the hotel would cost us to miss the breakfast provided by the hotel, when we checked in, we purposely declined to receive the breakfast vouchers. However, the hotel was nice enough to provide a take away bag with breakfast for us when we checked out. But the most hilarious thing was that they only provide One breakfast and the fact that we should entitled TWO breakfast. Once again, if the hotel wanted to provide such a thoughtful and heartfelt service, they would have done the job better rather than just giving and not doing them properly neither in a much detailed efforts.
All of these led us to write our first lifetime negative comment. We hate to do it but we had to express how terrible it was on our first time visit and stay at this hotel in Tianjin.
PLS NOTE: Our room reached 30 Degrees Celsius and the so called Air Conditioning was ON.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right above the Northwest Corner subway station, so you barely get wet even if it's raining.
The executive room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed – neither too soft nor too firm. The decor felt luxurious, definitely top-notch for ten years ago, haha. The city view from the high floor was decent.
The hotel service was excellent! Fanny was incredibly thoughtful and meticulous; she resolved all our issues.
The hotel breakfast was acceptable.

GGuest UserMy stay at Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin was absolutely fantastic, truly living up to its high-end reputation. The service was definitely the highlight – attentive and thoughtful throughout. Whether I had questions at the front desk, needed something for my room, or asked about local amenities, responses were always quick, and messages were handled promptly and efficiently, so I never had to wait long. The staff were all friendly and polite, and their attention to detail was exceptional. The room itself was clean and comfortable, the hardware facilities were high-quality, and the surrounding area was very convenient for getting around. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers. My child also loved the room service and the thoughtful little treats. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Tianjin.

GGuest UserThe environment here is absolutely stunning with a 720-degree panoramic view! The floor-to-ceiling windows all around offer unobstructed cityscapes during the day and a magical atmosphere with countless lights at night. The room is clean and airy, and you can enjoy the view right from your bed. I'll definitely be back for my next trip! The service was excellent too. We arrived early, and they had a vacant room cleaned for us, so we were able to check in at noon. The package also included two tickets to a crosstalk show, which we enjoyed. Super value for money!

GGuest UserI stayed here for one night while driving during the Chinese New Year. The hotel facilities are pretty good, clean and smell-free, and the bed in the standard room is also very big, with a bed of 1.35 meters. The transportation is convenient, just off the highway.
