"The hotel's location is great, with easy access for vehicles and convenient parking. Being on a higher floor, the room offers a nice city view. The amenities are comprehensive, including a full set of tea and wine utensils, and even alcohol wipes in the bathroom, which was a thoughtful touch. The laundry room on B2 is a huge convenience for travelers. I hope they can improve the smoky smell in the room. Also, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't receive a welcome fruit and tea gift when I extended my stay for another night."

I thought I'd have to climb a lot of steps to get to the mid-mountain area, but it only took a few minutes to slowly stroll up from the foot of the hill, passing a few interesting small shops along the way. The hotel is located inside the scenic area, and I almost walked past it. The biggest surprise was the design of the common lounge area – a bit retro yet very stylish, and the greenery was lovely. Sitting in the hotel's outdoor courtyard at night, sipping tea, and listening to the rustling of leaves in the wind, I completely forgot I was in the city. The service was also very thoughtful; not overly enthusiastic, but they were always there when you needed them. Overall, it's perfect for a solo escape or a romantic getaway for couples."

If you're looking for a relaxing trip in a pleasant environment and aren't on a 'special forces' type of travel (meaning you're not trying to cram everything in), I think this hotel is a great fit. I'll definitely book Holiday Inn again next time I'm in Fuzhou."

"I chose Wenchuan Yishe for my Fuzhou trip this time, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Hidden in a century-old ancestral house on Yantaishan, stepping into the courtyard instantly takes you away from the bustling streets. The Wabi-sabi style Chinese courtyard vibe is perfectly achieved. The room retains the texture of the old building, with solid wood furnishings and soft decor. The hygiene was impeccable, the mattress comfortable, and the toiletries were of good quality. The housekeeper contacted me in advance and helped with my luggage upon arrival, which was a thoughtful detail. The young man who checked me in and the young woman at the front desk who checked me out both helped carry my suitcase down the long stairs to the roadside. I'm truly grateful for their hard work and effort ❤️ Upon check-in, we received welcome fruits and small refreshments, and mooncakes were provided during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The location is superb, within walking distance to all the must-see spots on Yantaishan. When you're tired from exploring, you can quickly return to the small courtyard to rest. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, allowing you to experience the charm of old Fuzhou architecture while still being conveniently located. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Fuzhou."

First, at the Sheraton Shantou, I was informed that as a lucky customer, I'd been upgraded directly to the Ambassador Suite, which goes for 5880 yuan/night. Because I found it so comfortable, I went ahead and booked the Sheraton Fuzhou afterwards... and got upgraded to a suite again, hehehe [giggles]... Though this time, I pushed for it myself.
