We stayed at your hotel for 18 nights in total as we were visiting our son and his family for the Christmas holidays. He lives nearby so this hotel was VERY convenient. The housekeeping was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot water and pulsating shower in the bathroom. We were disappointed that there was not a coffee maker/kettle in the room. We were also rather disappointed that the full breakfast buffet on a couple of occasions did not have the hot items readily available. We were able to order individual servings of such items but it was not the same as being able to freely pick and choose what we wanted. We also noticed that the hot drinks that were dispensed from the machine were NOT hot at all and just merely warm.
The front desk staff were friendly and courteous at all times. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit our son in Hamburg.

Check-out is strictly at 12 PM, with no late check-out allowed. This isn't ideal for those with late-night flights. On the positive side, the front desk staff were very friendly, and complimentary water was provided. The room itself was generally clean and tidy, featuring a refrigerator which was handy for storing purchased fruits and other food items. There's street parking available, and the hotel is very close to the airport. I've stayed here before.

In the heart of the Eimsbüttel neighborhood and minutes from Hamburg’s city center, sits the NH Hamburg Mitte hotel, completely renovated in 2017. The NH Hamburg Mitte’s lobby bar is perfect for pre- or post-dinner drinks and snacks, and it's open 24/7.

The hotel is easy to locate and not far away from the airport. Spacious room, clean and tidy. Range of breakfast is fair and the staff is friendly.
The 4 star Mercure Hotel Hamburg Mitte is located in a prime position between the Schanzen, Karolinen and Grindel districts. Directly opposite the hotel is the main entrance of the Hamburg Trade Fair and the CCH is within walking distance. A fantastic experience! The supermarket and laundromat are within walking distance, and the breakfast service was excellent. Breakfast included my favorite German and European pickles, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, crispy fried bacon, various honeys, a wide selection of breads, four types of yogurt, and a variety of fruits to add to the yogurt, as well as fresh fruit. There were also many unique juice options, and iced and sparkling water choices. A quick greeting from the staff allows you to bring your own coffee or hot tea to the smoking area outside (but remember to return empty cups to the restaurant).

The hotel felt very secure. The lobby doors close at 11 PM, and you need your room key to get in. It's quite close to the U1 subway line, and the U3/U1 lines share the same station, though the exits are a bit far apart. The hotel service was excellent, the bedding was very comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. There were also utensils and a stove for cooking. The air conditioning wasn't very cold in the summer, which I've also experienced in other parts of Germany; it felt more like a fan.

The hotel is in a good location with convenient public transportation.
There are many dining options nearby and the breakfast is also good.
There is a park nearby with beautiful scenery, suitable for walking.
The environment is very quiet, suitable for people who like quiet.
The hygiene is slightly worse, and some waiters are not professional enough, there is room for improvement.

Great
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is very similar to a Japanese business hotel and was incredibly practical. It's just about walkable from the central station, and since the path is mostly flat, it was fine even with a large suitcase. There's also a supermarket about a 5-minute walk away.
On the first floor, you can enjoy unlimited coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate from a machine. Tea bags for black tea and green tea are also available. Plus, there's a very convenient self-service section with snacks, sandwiches, and instant cup noodles.
AAnonymous UserGreat stay — second time and still amazing
I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of.
The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops.
Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.
IItdoesntmatterwhofirst of all, the man at the reception did not check that we had already paid for the room. He presented a bill that needs to be paid now. I said several times that we have already paid for the number and showed a copy of the bill. He denied it, but he did a better search and found that we are already paid. He just said it was the software's fault, not his. I have been flying to Hamburg for almost 3 years and staying for a few days and booking a hotel. I have never had such a misunderstanding in other districts of Hamburg. Upon entering the room, everything was clean, but the bedding had an unpleasant smell..
GGuest UserI had a disappointing experience regarding the bed assignment. I specifically requested a lower bed, but upon arrival I was assigned to a bunk on the 3rd level, and even placed in the middle bunk. This was uncomfortable and not what I had requested. It seems that guest preferences are not taken seriously, which negatively affected my stay.
AAnonymous Userood location near to Hamburg main station. Check in was slow as there was only one old senior lady at the counter who kept talking to the guests in front of me and told me 5 times “just a moment…” The she left at 3pm and change shift to a young man who was much more efficient and friendly. My room was dark and smell funny but the bathroom is clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was same every day. Restaurant staffs are nice. Would recommend only if you need to be near the train station.
GGuest UserThe hoste provides the bare minimum in terms of amenities and cleanliness. While it is functional enough for a short stay, the overall quality feels very much in line with the low price. Facilities are basic, and the atmosphere is not particularly comfortable or welcoming. It’s not a terrible place to stay, but it’s also not somewhere I would confidently recommend to others unless they are simply looking for the cheapest option and have very low expectations.
GGuest UserWell.. Do you really feel comfortable?
Yes, the building (a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn, formerly Hotel Stern, address Reeperbahn 152/154) actually has a connection to the Nazi era - it was not a direct concentration camp or large concentration camp, but it was used as a forced labour camp in 1940.
The exact connection (based on historical sources):
• The house was built in 1891 as a Logierhaus Concordia - a cheap lodging house for poor men (e.g. Sailors, travellers without a permanent residence). It had 235 small single rooms, shared toilets and was typical for the rough harbour and red light district of St. Pauli.
• In the Nazi era (especially from the 1930s), the house was often used by the porters (caretakers) to denounce (advertise) guests. Many men (e.g. B. homosexuals, ***********, ”asocials”) were arrested there and imprisoned - this was unfortunately common in Hamburg's ”Kiez”.
• From August 1940: There was a forced labour camp of Deutsche Werft AG (a large Hamburg shipyard). The company used the existing building as accommodation for forced labourers - prisoners of war (POWs), civilians deported from occupied countries and from 1944 also prisoners from concentration camps (concentration camp subcamps). The shipyard had several such camps (mainly in Finkenwerder and harbour area), and this one in the Reeperbahn was one of them. Exact numbers (how many people, conditions) are not well documented, but it was part of the huge system of forced labour in Hamburg (a total of 400,000–500,000 people affected).
• A Stolperstein biography mentions e.g. B. that a French woman had to perform forced labour in 1944 as a kitchen assistant in the Reeperbahn 154 Foreign Home (during pregnancy) before she came to another camp.
After the war it became a normal tourist home again, converted into an Eros Centre (a large *******) in 1964, later refugee accommodation (in the 80s very dilapidated), then from 1999 Hotel Stern and 2009 a&o.
Well. We had a real good sleep anyway.
The Bath Room is so warm and
the elevator was real… you will see….
Danke ;)
