Guest UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel.
Cleanliness: Spotless, both the room and the lobby.
Service: Very warm and helpful. Our car was a bit too tall for the parking garage, and the staff helped us resolve the issue.
Environment: Very close to the city center, only about a 10-minute walk to the cathedral.

Guest UserStayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival.
Pros:
- Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport.
- Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6).
- Amazing bed.
- Full-size working desk in the room.
- Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly.
- The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge.
- The food was amazing.
Cons:
- The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day.
- Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point).
Overall:
- Highly recommend, would stay again.

Anonymous UserThe room was spacious, and they had already made up the beds and laid out the bath towels and regular towels for our triple room. The breakfast selection was also very rich, with boiled eggs, fried eggs, bread, milk, and smoked salmon. The staff were exceptionally polite and cleared plates very promptly. The only downside was that the showerhead in the bathroom couldn't be raised as the holder was broken. The most significant drawback was that the hotel is right next to a railway line, and the noise from the subway and cars hitting speed bumps on the highway was incredibly loud. A subway train passed every two to three minutes, starting before 6 AM, which made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep and negatively impacted our enjoyment of the rest of our trip.

Guest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe.
The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort.
As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne.
When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time.
Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

The advantages are its good location, close to Rudolfplatz metro station, with many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The hotel breakfast is quite plentiful, the service is acceptable, and the cleanliness is decent, with clean bedding. The disadvantages, focusing on the key points: First, the room is small, probably around 10 square meters. The bathroom is only about 4.5 square meters, and the shower is also small. Besides two disposable paper cups in the bathroom, no other water cups or bottled water are provided. The room is on the second floor, and the elevator seems to have been added later, requiring a half-floor walk down stairs to exit. The room is generally clean, but the carpet is a major disappointment, looking like it could harbor dirt and grime. On the day of check-in, I found two very tiny ants on the desk and promptly killed them; those afraid of insects should be cautious. Also, due to a trade fair in Cologne during my stay, the room price almost doubled; avoid booking during trade fairs if you're going to Cologne.

Excellent. Clean and enough parking spaces (15 euro). Free swimming pool and bathtub in the room are also a big plus for my kid. 2 Large supermarkets across the street. Will come again.

Guest UserThis hotel is really good. Maybe it's because the hotels I stayed at in Paris were too small, but arriving in Germany, this hotel was spacious and very clean. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The breakfast was also decent, and the staff always gave me bottled mineral water. The owner seems to be Chinese and was very friendly. It was a really great experience, and I'd recommend it to my friends.

Guest UserVery friendly service, perfect location though noisy due to its proximity to the train station. Cleanliness was mediocre, and the furnishings were quite run-down: torn bed linen, windows that didn't close properly, a broken lamp, and a shattered lamp in the bathroom.

Guest UserThe hotel is situated at around 5 minute walk from the Train Station. We arrived the hotel by a late ICE train at night, there is no problem regarding safety or ease of access. The reception is 24 hours manned, and has a self-service drink kiosk which you find rare to be free on European budget hotel chains. Overall lovely staff and big hotel. Note this hotel has only stair access, but to be fair for the price we paid for it is totally acceptable.

argyaPrice was kind of expensive for what you get but was one of the cheaper options in the city. Stayed in a shared room with 4 beds, having an ensuite bathroom to share. Location is convenient, reachable by tram and reception was lovely.
