"The price-performance ratio was excellent, and there was free parking right in front of the building. Unfortunately, the TV was broken, and despite being told a technician would come, nothing happened. Also, there was no power outlet in the bathroom, so I couldn't blow-dry my hair or shave in front of the mirror. However, the breakfast was absolutely superb. Overall, it's a very good hotel, and I can definitely recommend it!"
"This hotel is not close to the airport you will need a bus and it's 7 stops away and you will still need to walk 15 minutes. There is a airport shuttle to the airport. Friendly staff, I personally felt the room was warm for me but my son said he was a little cold. I guess it is personal preference. There us on site restaurant and bar but I felt for us it was a little on the pricey side but there was a supermarket and local food shops close by."
"It's a bit far from Cologne Cathedral. You'll need to take a tram to get around, but I booked a room close to the Flixbus stop, so it was fine! The room was really cold. It was okay with a blanket, but the air was cold. It was reasonably clean and overall, it was fine! I was also surprised when they told me my payment hadn't been processed at check-in. I think there was an error because I booked through a brokerage site (Trip.com). They said they'd let me know if there were any issues at check-out, but I paid the city tax and it was fine. ^^"
"The room was nice but the carpet was so dusty. Receptionist service was good. Room will be cleaned based on your request online from the previous night. Toilet has good hot shower and they also have hair dryer. The TV in the room is quiet big and good enough for the available channels. The room wifi was working well too. The hotel is 5-10 mins walk from the nearest train station and only 3 stations away from Koln Dom HBF. It has KFC nearly which was opened until late."
"Fantastic location, really close to the train station and klön airport. In the opposite direction, Klön itself is only a couple of stops away
Really quiet and clean hotel with a KFC opposite that stays open until midnight
Helpful and friendly reception staff with excellent English and knowledge.
Highly recommend and would come back again"
"The hotel is located minutes from the airport and they provide a free shuttle. All driver and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are simple, but everything you need for an overnight business stay; clean & quiet room, clean bathroom, air conditioner, work desk, wifi and a nice view from my room of the airport."
"Zimmer sauber und alles war da was man braucht. Sogar eine Kaffeemaschine war da.
Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig. Einfach top!
Parkplatz mussten wir noch dazubezahlen. Wäre schön wenn dieser gratis wäre."
The Hotel Haus Berger provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Cologne will find that the Hotel Haus Berger is a fantastic accommodation choice. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site.
"Het hotel ligt buiten Koln. De service was bevredigend. Ik had meer verwacht van het viersterrenhotel. De lift werkt niet de moeite waard. Er is geen parkeergelegenheid. Je moet zoeken naar parkeergelegenheid buiten het hotel. Het ontbijt is relatief goed en eenvoudig"

Amazing
GGuest UserIt's located across from Cologne Cathedral, and looks spectacular lit up at night. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I was happy to have free water in the room, but perhaps because Germany is an environmentally advanced country, it was bottled water rather than plastic bottles. It's inconvenient to carry around, but it was enough for making tea in the room.
If I had to say something negative, it would be that you have to cross a bridge to get to Cologne Cathedral and the station, but you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the hotel entrance. It was a bit inconvenient to go up and down with a suitcase.
Jjoo youn jungMy children wanted to have chocolate on Easter morning. My kids really wanted it, so I asked a male room cleaner for an Easter rabit chocolate, but I don't know the name. After wait a few minutes and then he got me one. he was so kind and thankful, but I couldn't tip him because i didn't have the cash. Please pass this massage on to him. Thank you very much.
OOlaf HsiehThis hotel in Cologne had a great location! While not right in the city center, it was still within walking distance and felt a bit quieter and more peaceful than being right in the hustle and bustle. We stayed during a heatwave, so the free lemon-infused iced water in the lobby was an absolute godsend. Plus, the rooftop view was amazing, with clear sights of famous landmarks!
GGuest UserI had a great stay at Hotel Flandrischer Hof! The location is excellent — right in the heart of Cologne and just a short walk from everything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to relax after a busy day.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty with a good variety. I’d definitely stay here again next time I visit the city. Great value for the price!
GGuest UserThis hotel is really good. Maybe it's because the hotels I stayed at in Paris were too small, but arriving in Germany, this hotel was spacious and very clean. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The breakfast was also decent, and the staff always gave me bottled mineral water. The owner seems to be Chinese and was very friendly. It was a really great experience, and I'd recommend it to my friends.
AAnonymous UserThe location is perfect, only few minutes walk from the central station. The staff was also nice and friendly, enough support. And there is dryer available, which was nice.
But overall, the room and corridor looks really like a prison or hospital, not at all giving the vibe of holiday stay...
Luggage storage was available for free! we can store luggage until 11pm on the day of check out.
There was no kitchen.
There is locker OUTSIDE the room, which is so weird. We need to use our own padlock to lock the locker but most of them were occupied or not working (broken). Even with the padlock, it could be open easily so I did not use the locker. It seemed there is not enough number of lockers available compared to the number of the rooms and beds, at least lockers that are not broken.
There is no curtain no privacy, even is a mixed gender room. It really feeled like a jail or something. The bedside light is too bright so that if one of us turn it on, the whole room could be bright enough, which is ridiculous. Also the sound proof was terrible that we can hear people outside singing, screaming and DJ-ing midnight, even with our windows and curtains closed. The sound of closing the door was so loud and the door seemed half broken. Also we could hear people talking in the corridor.
The shower and toilet were also outside the room and they smelled so bad. Did not feel clean.
GGuest UserStruggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.
Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.
Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.
I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!
The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.
GGuest UserThe hotel is situated at around 5 minute walk from the Train Station. We arrived the hotel by a late ICE train at night, there is no problem regarding safety or ease of access. The reception is 24 hours manned, and has a self-service drink kiosk which you find rare to be free on European budget hotel chains. Overall lovely staff and big hotel. Note this hotel has only stair access, but to be fair for the price we paid for it is totally acceptable.
Ccdtheunicornlovely lobby with charging amenities and places to rest and study, the staff was also very nice helped fix a coffee machine when it was broken and refunded my coffee. also very near to metro station (see pics) definitely recommended for solo travelers.
