"It’s been ten years since I last came to France. I’m so lucky to have chosen this hotel. Though it’s not large, it’s incredibly cozy and perfectly located, not far from all the major attractions with extremely convenient transportation. Most notably, Montmartre is just a short walk away.
The staff at the front desk are very friendly, and the room is cleaned every day. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the surrounding street is quiet, allowing me to sleep soundly every night.
Overall, I absolutely love this hotel and will definitely recommend it to all my friends planning a trip to Paris. ❤️❤️❤️"
"The room was very well-equipped, with cooking utensils provided, and the dishwasher was a big plus; however, the air conditioning and heating systems kept turning off automatically, and the heater wouldn't turn on. After we reported this, the hotel provided breakfast for us one day because the repairs didn't take place until after check-out! Very nice! 👍🏻"
"Can't fault the location, you're straight in the heart of Montmartre, super handy for exploring Paris 18e. Staff were also really friendly and helpful the whole time we were there.
Unfortunately that's about where the good stuff ends. Cleanliness wasn't great even tho bed and towels were fine, but we walked into our private room with odd marks all over the wall, some pretty weird stains on the bathroom tiles, a wobbly toilet that clearly hadn't been fixed properly, marks in the shower, the wall lights above the bed were also busted when we arrived, the upper part of the shower system was broken and leaking the entire time
The real kicker though was no hot water at all for our full five-night stay, cold showers every single day, not exactly ideal. And because the water was down, the laundry facilities were basically useless too, so that extra ”perk” wasn't really an option. Also, despite it being banned, a few guests from different rooms and dorms were smoking as well, which didn't help the overall experience.
The photos on Trip.com look nice and fresh, but they're clearly way out of date as the place looks a bit tired and worn in real life, matching the state of our room.
Honestly it's a real shame, because if they sorted the maintenance and got the hot water back up and running, we'd happily come back... the location and the staff genuinely are the best bits of this place."
"I wish we would’ve stayed longer! Apartment was a great size and comfy king bed! Yuna was a perfect, cool, spacious place to stay. Free hot beverages in the lobby, great wifi, easy to find, excellent staff! Will be back!"
"The best thing about the hotel is its location - I didn’t have breakfast on my overnight stay and so can’t comment on that - but if you’re using Gare du Nord this is ideal.
From the little intersection outside the hotel, you can see Gare du Nord - 5 minutes and you’re there.
Was given a double room as a single traveller on a very good room rate. It had its plus points - sweet little balcony with table and chairs, working air conditioning, room safe (although didn’t use it). Comfortable bed.
However, the negatives need mentioning - the decor was tired - paint chipped and peeling. Mould on the bathroom ceiling and shower wall. Sink plug didn’t fit. Housekeeping has left hairs in the shower. Balcony door didn’t shut fully.
The biggest miss was there not being a kettle in the room, nor teas/coffees/cups, etc. Also no glass in the bathroom or room. No kettle, but there was a hairdryer - seems a strange omission to me.
The hotel is described as having been updated in 2024, but I think I was just a bit unlucky and had the one done in 1924.
Definitely average, if not a bit below."
"Great location if you're travelling via the EuroStar. Had everything you needed, very cozy and convenient. Very friendly check in staff and safe.
Did have to wait some time to be let into the hotel as no one was on reception later at night. Could do with a little bit of love with the paint and removal of mould smell in the bathroom. Really would have preferred frosted glass to the bathroom as you can see straight into the bedroom 🙈"
"Stayed at this hotel and had a really pleasant experience. The place is clean, the service is friendly, and the location is super convenient. There’s a bus stop right nearby, and the metro is just a 5–10 minute walk away — perfect for getting around Paris easily.
Plus, the area is surrounded by great restaurants, so finding delicious food was never a problem. Also close to Sacre Coeur! Would definitely recommend for a comfortable and well-located stay in the city!"
"Lovely room and adorable staff, however, a small downside: the cleaning staff started making noise very early by loudly moving furniture and vacuuming (not great for a lie-in 😝)."
"This hotel in Montmartre is right across from the metro exit. The rooms are cozy and small, with excellent plumbing and branded toiletries. Everything feels new. At the front desk, they offer complimentary water, tea, fruit, pastries, and marmalade. In the room, there's a hairdryer and a coffee machine, and you can borrow an iron from reception. Nearby, there are several cafes and restaurants, a mini-market, and fruit and pastry shops. It's a 7-minute walk to Sacré-Cœur without any steep climbs. A very pleasant place! I recommend it! 👌"
"The room was rather small, but the location was very convenient, very close to Gare de l'Est and a 3-minute walk to Gare du Nord. However, the street in front is a one-way street, so traffic is quite congested and calling a taxi isn't very convenient! It seemed like the shampoo and liquid soap were misplaced 😅 Bottled water and drinks were only provided on the first check-in, but after contacting the front desk, they immediately provided three more bottles 👍 Breakfast was simple but had a fairly complete selection. The staff were very attentive, warmly helping to heat up the milk!"

Amazing
GGuest UserExcellent hotel! I found it completely by chance, but it turned out to be the best choice I could have made. The value for money is perfect — everything is at a very high level. The room was clean, neat, and cozy, and the bathroom was spacious and spotless. A special highlight was the beautiful balcony with a lovely view over the city.
The staff were very friendly, and the room service was truly excellent — fast, polite, and efficient. The location is perfect: there are plenty of cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and shops nearby, the metro is just a couple of steps away, and you can even walk to the Eiffel Tower.
I am extremely satisfied with my stay and would like to express my sincere gratitude to the team at Hôtel Montcalm Paris for their outstanding service. Highly recommended — I will definitely come back again!
GGuest UserWell concetualised hotel based on literature. This one was Marcel Proust. If you are keen to literature, you should stay in this hotel. Lobby was well designed with classic + modern style, the room was spacious enough with necessary amenities. Big Juliet balcony window but double glazed so no noise heard even it’s on the main road. High ceiling and bathroom ok. Sometimes when you go concept hotel, I could be quite tacky but this one was really well presented. Good bed and linens. Double bed larger than normal double bed. Staff members were helpful and even brought a bulb to fix the light.
I will stay in this hotel again.
GGuest UserStanding tall as the only skyscraper hotel in the city, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile offers a perspective of Paris that few other properties can match. Located in the 17th Arrondissement, connected to the Palais des Congrès, it is a premier choice for both business travelers and sightseers.
The rooms are sleek and modern, but the true draw is the floor-to-ceiling windows. If you book an Eiffel Tower view room, the sight of the ”Iron Lady” sparkling at night is unforgettable. For the ultimate experience, visit Windo Skybar on the 34th floor; sipping a cocktail while overlooking the Arc de Triomphe and the sprawling city lights is a quintessential Parisian moment. Service is efficient and professional, living up to the global Hyatt standard.
Verdict: An iconic high-rise hotel offering some
of the most spectacular, unobstructed views in all of Paris.
GGuest UserThe room was small but MORE than adequate for a solo traveler. They also incorporated storage spaces that I didn't even use, since as under-bed drawers and a little closet. I thought it was a very clever use of space.
The air conditioning in my room was very good and kept the room quite cool. The room was clean when I arrived and perfectly refreshed each day when I returned. I very much enjoyed my stay.
The shower in the bathroom was my only difficulty. It was small enough that I couldn't bend over. 🤣 But all in all, it was a very efficient use of space and perfectly adequate for a space I only occupied to sleep
I also liked having local TV stations, as I got to watch the fireworks on Bastille Day.
I don't know what the hamman is.
I think there were plenty of transportation options nearby, but as a solo woman, I felt mildly uncomfortable with the vibe of the neighborhood. It didn't feel dangerous at all. But there were quite a few homeless people between the hotel and any bus stop/train station. I don't know a solution. I just think a solo woman traveler would want to know this. Again, I never felt unsafe. Just a little ”aware” of my vulnerability at night.
I would 100% stay here again.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location on a relatively quiet and safe street. It's just a 500-meter walk to the Arc de Triomphe and 450 meters to the metro station, offering lines 1, 3, 6, and RER A with direct access to Disneyland. My three-night stay was very pleasant; the room had air conditioning and windows that could be opened wide. While the room was indeed compact, it had everything I needed. My room type comfortably accommodated two 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom provided toiletries, but there were no disposable slippers or dental kits. There was also no refrigerator. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing, which was a bit lacking – I could hear other guests opening and closing doors and the sound of water being used next door. However, these noises didn't significantly affect my sleep. Those who are light sleepers might want to consider this. Overall, it's still highly recommended.
HHaita777The price is reasonable, and having a police station downstairs made us feel very safe. It's conveniently located near a metro station, but we mostly took Ubers to get around. Ubers to major attractions were only about 10-15 Euros, which was cost-effective for a group. The area is a local residential neighborhood with a Carrefour supermarket, fruit stores, delicious cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and a pharmacy. The sink was a bit clogged, but the front desk quickly sent someone to fix it. Overall, a great stay, and I'd consider staying here again.
BBRN10291The team was incredibly welcoming. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet. The bedding was of excellent quality. The breakfast offered a rich variety of sweet and savory options, along with various teas, chicory coffee, and other choices – it was really complete. I highly recommend this accommodation, which is just a stone's throw from the metro.
UUncle HsiungThe room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the location couldn't be better – right across from the North Station, with a metro entrance just outside. It was literally a two-to-three-minute walk from the Eurostar platform. The staff were diligent, responsible, and friendly. One time, I needed to print something at midnight, and Harold on duty immediately helped me out – a big thanks to him! The only downside to the hotel is the poor soundproofing. My room was next to a large room that could sleep five people. Luckily, out of my seven-night stay, there were only two nights when someone was next door: once it was a family with two crying children, and another time it was a group of young people…
DDolmatova TatianaThe hotel's location is excellent: close to the metro, McDonald's, and a grocery store are very close, and all the city center attractions are within walking distance.
The staff is helpful and polite.
The hotel is in good condition, with a working elevator and plenty of TV channels. The room is small, like all Paris hotels.
The most important thing in winter is that the hotel is very warm!
The bathroom had a window :)
Cons:
- No kettle in the room
- Safe doesn't work
- Very small shower stall (barely fits a 90+ kg person)
GGuest UserWe spent 6 nights with my sister and the staff were all so friendly and attentive! The room has all the necessary amenities but there’s no AC so we had to open the window to get some fresh air. During our stay, the restaurant downstairs was closed and the food selection at the rooftop bar was very limited. The other thing is this hotel is right on the border of a sketchy neighborhood so while it’s safe, I would be highly cautious. All in all, it made sense for us because we were gone the whole day and only were at the hotel to sleep.
