Hotels near Big Fish in Belfast

"Not bad. Breakfast is provided, and there's a supermarket nearby which is very convenient for buying quick meals. It's also very close to all the main attractions. The only downside is the lack of power outlets by the bed and in the bathroom, which is a bit of a pity."

"Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, especially considering we paid around £300 for three nights. The biggest issue was the sofa bed provided for our daughter. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable, and she struggled to sleep properly throughout the stay. Breakfast was also a real let-down. The hot selection was very limited, with dried-out food and only scrambled eggs available. We asked whether fried or poached eggs were available and were told no. There was also no ham or cheese, so the breakfast felt very basic compared with what we expected from a Holiday Inn Express. Sleep was made even more difficult by the amount of noise at night. We could hear people coming and going, doors repeatedly slamming and noise from the rear of the hotel. On the positive side, the location was useful for exploring Belfast and the staff we dealt with were polite. However, for approximately £300, we expected a much more comfortable stay. The lack of sleep, particularly for our daughter, really affected our experience and unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our current stay at Ten Square Doubletree by Hilton. The room was very spacious with two double beds, a sofa, a large screen tv and fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. The shower room was very large with a walk in shower and very nice toiletries. We booked a meal that evening in Jospers restaurant and the food was excellent and very reasknably priced. We attended the entertainment for the evening in Doffers bar and altogether had an excellent trip. Slept very well in the comfortable bed."

"This is a good hotel for a short stay. It has a large bed, TV, bathroom, a table and chair, and a kettle with coffee/tea. The hotel also has a great location, right in the city center. Downsides: hairdryer and iron are only available at reception, there are no bath mats, wardrobe, fridge, air conditioning, or bedside tables."

"I recently stayed at Second Nature Belfast on Queen Street and was thoroughly impressed. It's not just a hotel, but a true 'hometel' – a place where you feel right at home, yet with the service level of a good boutique hotel. The location is simply perfect: everything is within walking distance – shops, restaurants, and Belfast's attractions. The room was spacious, stylish, and very clean, with its own kitchenette, which is incredibly convenient for making your own breakfast or light dinners. I particularly liked the common areas: the cozy Winnie’s café, the bar with live music in the evenings, and a small fitness room that guests can use for free. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or additional services. The only downside I noted was that breakfast prices in the restaurant are a bit high, but this is completely offset by the quality and variety of the dishes. Overall, this is one of the best places to stay in Belfast, especially if you value style, comfort, and a central location. I will definitely be back."

"I thought the staff were friendly and welcoming, the bar had a large selection of beverages and the rooms had ample space. There was also a breakfast buffet which was ok. A young lad cleaning the table next to ours managed to get spray onto our table and wife's food which was frustrating, but my wife raised the issue and he apologised and kindly took the plate. Just hope there's a little more due diligence next time. What I wasn't fond of was that the rooms were not soundproofed, and I thought I'd highlight the matter since half of the rooms face out towards Common Market and other local bars. Luckily, we were that knackered that it didn't prevent us from getting to sleep. Another thing that was very disappointing was that the rooms were dusty, and the downstairs toilets were very dusty too. I could see all the staff working hard during my stay, but I really think more deep cleans could be done. I really think this is a staffing level issue as I could tell everyone was trying to do a good job, and I know big companies are reluctant to spend what's necessary to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently."

"Well located in Cathedral Quarter, lots of bars and restaurants around and only 5 mins walk to the city center, service can improve a bit at reception"

"Great stay in Belfast city centre! The location was perfect—everything was within walking distance, including major attractions, shops, and public transport. One of the highlights was how close it was to some amazing Indian restaurants, which made dining super convenient and enjoyable. The hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained. The rooms were clean, spacious enough, and had all the basic amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions or recommendations. Facilities were good overall, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The area felt safe, even during late evenings, which is a big plus when travelling. Overall, a great experience—ideal for anyone looking to explore Belfast while staying in a central and convenient location. Would definitely recommend and stay again!"

"Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities were complete. The soundproofing was also good. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. The hotel's location is convenient, with plenty of dining options and easy access to transportation nearby. It offers great value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

"The hotel itself was really nice. Unfortunately unbeknownst to me was the fact I'd booked an adjoining room. It did not make for a peaceful night's sleep."
