"On arrival, the receptionist was pleasant. No issues directing me to my room. However, once in the room, when trying to open the window, the top handle broke off in my hand. The cold water for the sink was not working, so I had to use a shower for cold water. There were also stains in the pillow. The TV had no service, and although I informed the receptionist but nothing was done. I was advised that they would inform the manager.
Overall, for a night stay, it was ok, but I will not be staying here again."
"Staff was excellent, check in out was a breeze. Free parking outside hotel. Petrol kiosk and supermarket nearby. Location was chosen because near-ish to Anfield, 10 minutes. Beside a main road with some road noise but did not affect sleep.
Room is standard Travelodge but unfortunately carpet stained and reeked of old animal pee. Had to open window most times. Otherwise space is adequate for a family of 4, heating and hot water functioning well. Kettle and tea/coffee available. Toilet is large with bathtub. Towels and shower gel provided."
"The staff couldn't do enough for us , so nice and friendly. Amelia went over and above to make our stay feel perfect. The food is really nice . The beds are perfect, really big and comfortable. Location was ideal for what we needed. Reception staff are very helpful. Overall I would definitely go back. We were 4 adults, 2 needing an accessible room."
"The host took the initiative to greet us at the door. He was warm and thoughtful, helped with luggage, and introduced the facilities in the room and how to use them. The room was spacious, bright, hygienic and clean, and the bed was very comfortable! The world map on the wall at the front desk is very special, showing the cities where the guests staying here are from!"
"The hotel is right next to the University of Liverpool, but it's a bit far from the city center, about a 5-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk. There aren't many shops around. The hotel itself is very new and the facilities are excellent. The front desk manager was very nice."
"All the staff are very friendly and smiley, helpful, and provided great service.
The rooms were clean, had good amenities like a hair dryer, fridge, shower gel, conditioner, shower cap, tea, coffee, kettle, TV.
Rooms and bathrooms were clean.
Breakfast had a good selection. Theme of the hotel is also great, there's a big fish tank on the ground floor.
Very pleased, would 100% stay again."
"I recently stayed at The Adelphi and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Its proximity to the train station was incredibly convenient for getting around. The convenience of having bar on-site was a definite plus.
However, one significant drawback was the absence of refrigerators in the rooms. This was quite inconvenient, as it meant I couldn't store any perishable items or keep drinks cold for later, even with the bar downstairs. In today's world, having a fridge in a hotel room is almost an expectation, and its absence was definitely felt.
Despite this, I would still recommend The Adelphi for its other positive aspects, convenient amenities, and easy access to transportation. I hope the management considers adding refrigerators to their rooms in the future, as it would greatly enhance the guest experience."
"We wanted to see Anfield Stadium and enjoy being part of the local community. Hotel Anfield was the best choice we could have made. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the bar area really won us over. As LFC fans, it was a dream. For what we paid and what we got, the experience overall was superb. If you are a Liverpool fan going there for the first time, this is where I recommend you stay."
"Absolutely perfect, Location was brilliant was such an easy Place to stay it was quiet and the room was brilliant really useful to be next to the Train Station will definitely be staying again in the Future."
"Staff were so lovely. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was of a high quality. Would have preferred free WiFi rather than just 30 mins but other than that it was good."

GGuest UserThe hotel was ideally situated where we didn't have to walk far to the venues which were approx 6-10 minutes walk.
The hotel has a large underground car park that kept our car safe and secure, not many hotels have a bar and seating for guests which we thought was convenient, the room was modern, very clean and loved the high pressure shower that is adjustable, breakfast was lovely we prefer a full English with all the trimmings, though there is the continental option and as it was a buffet we ate as much as we pleased.
Lots of things to do and see in Liverpool and a large shopping centre that we discovered on our way back from the Cavern club and eateries on the dock side
All in all a brilliant first stay in this hotel and 2nd time in Liverpool...oh and a shout out to the receptionist who helped me with our parking, very patient.
We are planning our next stay at this hotel for the near future.
AAnonymous UserI stayed at the Pullman Liverpool Hotel for one night as a last-minute booking after reading several reviews and watching a few TikTok videos—and I’m glad I did.
On arrival, I was greeted warmly, checked in quickly, and made my way up to my room without any hassle. I had emailed ahead requesting a nice view as it was my first time in Liverpool. I was placed on the 8th floor, which was great, but unfortunately my view overlooked the roof of another building. I did ask if this could be changed, but the hotel was fully booked due to the Easter break, which I completely understood.
The room itself was comfortable and overall made for a pleasant stay. The location is a big plus—just a short walk to the Liverpool Museum, bars, restaurants, the wheel, and plenty of shops for a bit of retail therapy.
Parking is quite expensive, but the hotel does stamp your ticket which gives you a discount. I checked in at 3:30pm, checked out at 12, and paid £18 for parking—without the discount, it could easily cost 5–8 times more.
Now for the negatives: cleanliness could definitely be improved. I met some of the cleaners when checking out—lovely, friendly staff—but the room needed more attention. There was dust on surfaces, hair on the tissue container, only two tissues left, the bathroom and mirrors weren’t cleaned thoroughly, and the shower gel hadn’t been refilled, so after a few pumps there was none left.
Overall, despite the cleaning issues, I had a pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying here again.
VvslmOverall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and clean, and it came with a kettle and coffee. The location is incredibly convenient, not only close to the docks – perfect for an evening stroll after dinner – but also right next to James Street Station, which makes it super easy to visit nearby cities like Chester. This hotel offers great value for money. If I had to mention any downsides: there's no breakfast, and both elevators were out of order during checkout. I had to walk down from the 5th floor, but thankfully I didn't have much luggage.
GGuest UserExcellent little hotel. Right in the centre of town and a short walk to the ACC.
Bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful.
Overall and excellent option and reasonably priced. Would stay again
GGuest UserStayed at Tune Hotel for 4 nights before my cruise from Liverpool. It was a great location as Terminal was about 5 minutes walk.
Also great location for all amenities in Liverpool.
Ellie at reception was very friendly and helpful and because room is not serviced every day you can request towels, toilet paper etc from reception.
Room was ok. It was cheap and cheerful. Shower was excellent. Great for short stays.
No chair in room and we only had 2 TV stations.
GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay. The standard hotel room was very spacious, bed very comfortable, room very clean and really nice decor. Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit, homemade baked bread and a good selection of hot and cold options. The White Bar was a great place for food and drinks.
Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
PPreetz69Great hostel, it’s clean and the rooms are well kept. The beds are amazingly comfortable with a small shelf to keep your phone and watch to charge while you sleep. The vibe is great and it’s very vintage style. Location is amazing. Easy to all public transport, so many shops to eat or get groceries from. Bars and pubs are at your fingertips.
The only downside to this hostel is its in room bathroom. Unfortunately this hostel fails majorly on this. I was in an 8 bed dorm, and there was 1 toilet and 2 showers. (Luckily there was only 3 people in my room for my 2 nights) so we could manage. BUT the showers are absolutely awful it has no independent tap for hot or cold water, it has a push button for water and the push button only lasts 3 seconds (SO GUESS WHAT YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE BUTTON IN CONSTANTLY TO SHOWER) so you have one hand to shower with if you want constant water on you, BUT guess what…. The shower hot water is non existent the hot water is hot like a swimming pool on a hot summers day or luke warm at the best. So if you think you going to have a good shower after a long day of exploring or you get filthy from a night out, surprise you going to have the most awful shower.
So you gotta pick awful shower for a comfy bed and clean room or stay somewhere else.
If I visit Liverpool again I’d skip this hostel only for the fact that I like a nice hot shower at the end of the day to unwind with before going to bed.
GGuest UserThis was one of the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we were greeted by a pleasant front desk clerk. The lobby has a lot of character in keeping with the Titanic theme and the pictures of the rooms had the same theme. We arrived at our room (fourth floor #46) located on a dark hallway that was being painted. The room was large and also had some plush features like the curtains, furniture, chandelier and wallpaper. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. Our room was very hot, with no ventilation and one small fan. The desk clerk offered to bring a second fan when we requested a hair dryer, but the second fan never arrived. The windows could not be opened even a crack ”due to safety reasons”. The room was sweltering and sleeping was extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the carpet was very dirty, there was mold on the wall above the bathtub and the sink, the lights beside the beds needed to be replaced, and the towel rack was missing from the wall. There was a small kitchen which was nice, but it was missing the basics (glassware, silverware, plates) and one of the drawers was missing its front. In short, the room was in bad shape and we are very surprised they would host anyone in that room. In the lobby, there was a young man sitting at the Concierge desk and when we asked him for directions, he said he was security and had no idea. He could not have been less interested and barely looked up from his phone. Apparently, the rooftop bar is nice, but we did not go there. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and are pretty easy going when it comes to our expectations. This hotel has so much potential, but the experience was a huge disappointment and we would not stay there again and cannot recommend anyone stay there.
JJay-PeeMy Two-Night Stay at Phoenix Hotel Liverpool: Central City Experience
Just wrapped up a fantastic two-night stay at Phoenix Hotel Liverpool and wanted to share my thoughts! At £126.90 plus a small £4.80 property fee, it offered excellent value for a city center experience.
The location at 46-48 Foley Street puts you right in the heart of Liverpool, which was perfect for my mini-break. Being centrally located meant I could easily walk to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas without relying on transportation. The vibrant city atmosphere was right on my doorstep!
I stayed from **Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, 2025** — a perfect two-night city escape. Check-in after 3 PM was smooth and welcoming, and the 11 AM check-out time was standard and convenient. The staff were helpful and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived.
The hotel itself (which I could see in the booking thumbnail) had a classic Liverpool charm about it. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials I needed for a pleasant stay. While not ultra-luxurious, it was well-maintained and provided a cozy base for exploring the city.
What I appreciated was the **transparent pricing** — I knew exactly what I was paying upfront (£126.90) and what I'd need to pay at the property (just £4.80). The Trip.com booking process was straightforward, and having their price match and stay guarantee gave me extra confidence in my booking.
The app's ”Message Property” and ”Call Property” features came in handy when I needed some local recommendations. The ”Manage Booking” function made it easy to keep all my travel details organized in one place.
Is it a five-star luxury hotel? No, but it doesn't claim to be. Phoenix Hotel Liverpool delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, well-located place to stay at a reasonable price point that lets you experience the best of Liverpool without breaking the bank.
**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! If you're looking for a centrally located hotel in Liverpool with good amenities and friendly service, this place ticks all the boxes. Perfect for weekend city breaks, concert-goers, or anyone wanting to soak up Liverpool's vibrant atmosphere.
