"The hotel was nice and clean; in the room, there was a mini fridge and an AC, which was handy. The bathroom was spacious and there was toiletries. The only negative thing about the room was the bed; the mattres was too flat and the bed base made a lot of noise every time you turned around/lay on the bed.
Breakfast is served at the hotel; it's simple but abundant. The hotel clerks were always super polite and helpful.
The hotel is located near Marco Polo Sq and you can walk to most places. Super recommended."
"The living, breathing wallpaper that has survived the test of time has become a comfortable shelter. Very much memorable to have a breakfast service experience by a older lady with an elegant demeanor and service attitude and nice coffee"
"The location is perfect, just a two-minute walk from St. Mark's Square and six minutes from the Rialto Bridge, among other places. It's a small hotel that needs renovation, especially the bathroom. The shower screen was loose and difficult to close because the rails were coming apart. There were mosquitoes, which kept me awake one night. The breakfast was very basic; it's a buffet, but they only offer bread, York ham, salami, cheese, yogurts, cereals, milk, juice, croissants, and small tubs of honey and chocolate spread. The dining area is very small, but the quality of the breakfast is good, with freshly baked bread and croissants and freshly sliced cold cuts. The hotel is very quiet, and the staff's service is excellent and very friendly. The room cleaning was minimal; they only changed the sheets and towels and emptied the trash. In summary, I highlight its proximity to the main attractions."
"My girlfriend and I stayed for two days, and it was okay in general.
The breakfast was quite simple, enough to last until lunch.
The jacuzzi didn't work, as we later found out the night before checking out.
We had to use another entrance to get to our room, and there was no elevator from the ground to the first floor, so it was a little inconvenient.
We only had one key card for our room, which also caused us a little inconvenience, and we couldn't get another.
The stuff was polite and helpful during our stay."

"The room had a nostalgic feel and the bedding was clean. The service was adequate. The soundproofing wasn't great; I could clearly hear people talking on the street below. Despite the windows being closed, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. I could hear them buzzing in my ear all night, which kept me from sleeping. I woke up with 5 or 6 mosquito bites. The picture shows bloodstains after killing a mosquito. There were also multiple old and new bloodstains on the wallpaper."
"This was one of the most expensive hotel we have paid for during our Italy trip but the one with the worst check-in experience. As we saw reviews on Google that luggage has been stolen before with no camera to track, we wanted to lock our 2 luggages together for storage as the room was not ready. But the hotel staff became really defensive and did not allow us to do so, claiming that it’s difficult for him to handle for storage. The hotel even provided a slip that hotel declines all responsibilities of baggages. They do not want to bear responsibilities yet did not allow us to take basic precautions with our belongings. After sometimes debating with the reception and the staff, they finally allowed us to do so but gave really black faces even when we try to take picture of our luggages in the lobby.
Upon returning from our long day of walk, the positive note is that the reception and the staff handling our luggages have a much more positive attitude and were more helpful. There were a lot of small stairs to our room so the staff assisted with the luggages.
The main good thing is that this hotel is really near to Venezia Santa Lucia station and you do not need to carry luggages for a long distance across bridges. Facility is actually quite old and basic but at least clean. Breakfast view next to canal is good. Recommend for a short 1 night stay at Venice but we will likely not return again."
"The rooms are clean and air conditioned. The rooms are 2 rooms, so you have to share the bathroom and kitchen. That was not a big problem, we managed to use the bathroom without many difficulties. Clean and functional bathroom. The hotel is very large and has large beds."
"This stay had a mix of positives and negatives. We were not placed at San Cassiano as expected but were instead transferred to another hotel in their chain, Palazzo Stern. The alternate hotel wasn’t bad—it's located along the Grand Canal and has a lovely terrace. The property itself boasts some impressive design elements, likely stemming from its past as an antique mansion turned hotel. We were given a loft room, which unfortunately didn’t have any windows with a view, and the space was a bit cramped for two large suitcases. On the plus side, the bathroom had a beautiful design. Breakfast was ok, though nothing to rave about. The hotel is a bit of a walk from most attractions unless you opt for a water taxi, with a water taxi stop conveniently located right outside the hotel."

Great
GGuest UserGreat hostel in a fab location. It’s only a 5 min walk from the train station, 2 min walk to the number 2 bus stop which takes you directly into the heart of Venice.
The staff were really nice, once you’ve paid your tourist tax, you need to fill out a small form so you don’t have to pay the extra fee when visiting Venice. The staff explained it really well and there’s a link on their website once you check in.
Everything clean, nice people, 5/5 stars from me.
The only thing I would mention is the walk to the supermarket feels a bit dodgy, so just do it when it’s bright out.
魏魏際原This hotel is located on Tronchetto, a new island. From Venezia Santa Lucia Station (the last stop), you need to take public boat line 2 towards San Roma. Get off at the third stop, Tronchetto, and the hotel is just a 3-minute walk away. Line 2 is super convenient for getting around. The room was spacious, and breakfast offered a great selection. On our third night, we moved to a hotel near St. Mark's Square, which was also easily accessible by boat. We bought a 72-hour transport pass right when we arrived at the train station on our first day, and it was absolutely worth it! We used it to visit Murano (Glass Island), Burano (Colorful Island), and everywhere else we went!
AAdam23We had a great experience staying at this hotel! Although it's rated as a three-star property, keep in mind that it’s three stars in Venice—which is definitely not the same as a three-star elsewhere. The charm and quality here exceeded our expectations.
You won’t find a lot of reviews about this hotel, but I did come across a YouTube vlog by a mother who shared her family stay here. She said it was a really good choice—and she turned out to be absolutely right!
We booked a Prestige Room with Canal View and specifically requested Room 101, which we saw on TikTok or YouTube (can't recall exactly where). The photos already impressed us, but the reality was even better. The ceiling was much higher than expected, which gave the room a beautiful, airy feel. The hotel still shows older pictures online, with an outdated TV, but we were happy to find a newer TV already installed.
The amenities were excellent—truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel of this category. Breakfast was on the smaller side, but absolutely sufficient. The cakes and pastries were quite decent, and having them in such a beautiful, old-style interior made it feel like we were stepping back in time—in the best way possible.
A huge shoutout to the staff, who were all genuinely kind and accommodating. We felt their hospitality in even the smallest gestures, and it was very much appreciated.
Lastly, the location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, close to everything. Being so near the heart of Venice made it easy to go out and explore, then return to rest and recharge. It's also conveniently close to shopping areas, which is a nice bonus.
All in all, this hotel was a hidden gem. If you're looking for a stay that combines charm, comfort, location, and authentic Venetian vibes, this is a fantastic choice. That mother on YouTube was right—it really is a great choice!
AAlex Fu HKGThe best even hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe.
Super perfect service, highly professional and quality staff, good English, efficient, and take care of my every details.
Quality physical condition of the hotel, the hotel is a re-renovated building from a flour mill, so that it is very spacious, my room is big enough also in European hotel.
Great location, 15-minute from St Mark’s Sq, chilled island and not distanced but you’ve to take water taxi to get to the hotel
Qualify breakfast, an unforgettable enjoyment for my stay
Reliable Water shuttle bus - one of the very important services provided by the hotel to go to / from St Mark’s Sq, Euro15 for the whole stay, 30-minute frequency every day. And the hotel also offer complimentary water taxi to Murano Island everyday, so that I can visit both Murano and Burano at the same day.
GGuest UserI received a message from the store in advance, explaining the route in detail. Take bus No. 2 from the train station and get off at the stop before the Riya Tow Bridge. After getting off the bus, follow the instructions and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Go to the second floor to complete the check-in formalities and then work. Staff took 10 minutes to walk to the apartment. Our room is on the second floor, with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and a washing machine. The apartment is not in a busy area and is very quiet. It's a few minutes' walk to the river, very convenient. There is a market by the river in the morning where you can buy ingredients, and the seafood is fresh and cheap. Although prices are high in Venice, it is very cheap to buy water and food from supermarkets and markets.
GGuest UserThe hotel is directly opposite Venice's Santa Lucia train station (SMN), making it incredibly convenient – you just cross the road after exiting the station. The hotel itself is a bit old, and the facilities are showing their age. Breakfast was a typical Italian cold cuts spread. We stayed one night; on the first day, we headed straight to the main island for a look around, which was a quick 10-minute train ride for 1.5 Euros. The next day, after checking out, we left our luggage and explored the outer islands, but there really wasn't anything much to see there.
AAnonymous UserA good place to stay in Venice cheaply. The location is pretty well connected and i strongly recommend taking an independent bus, rather than their shuttle bus service - they drop you off by a busy road and the walk to Venice is not much shorter than the 20min one that you take from the Hotel to a bus stop (and it’s cheaper).
I found it very disappointing that my message I sent 2-3 days before my stay with questions, was never read or answered. The room has all needed amenities, and is overall comfortable, however the only table is outdoors. The on-site shop is convenient, with prices not too racked up, so very reliable. However the Hotel restaurant is disappointing. We ordered a pizza and a kids menu burger and fries - the pizza was very average, but the burger was actually just the meat patty and fries?? While it was clearly called a burger on the menu. Additionally, it was neither cheap, or fast service.
I’d say this is a good place to stay for a short trip to Venice, especially on the budget, but would not recommend using their extra amenities such as the restaurant or bus.
ЮЮрий ХлутковWe’ve stayed in many hotels and apartments around the world, from tiny rooms to beautiful villas, and this was honestly our first experience like this.
We arrived around 2:30 PM, right after check-in time. There is no elevator, but that’s completely understandable for an old Venetian building. We carried our luggage to the third floor, and while my wife was speaking with the host, we suddenly found out that the bathroom was shared with another room.
This was a huge surprise for us because on Trip.com the booking clearly mentioned private facilities in the room and a shower. Only later did we realize that the bathroom was actually outside the room and shared between two rooms, with separate keys for the wooden bathroom door. The bathroom itself was clean and decent, but for us this completely changed the experience. We have never stayed in a place with a shared bathroom before, and finding this out only at check-in was very disappointing.
Another frustrating point was the check-out policy. Check-out was at 10:00 AM, which we already knew from the booking, but honestly this was only the second time in my life I’ve seen such an early check-out time — and I’ve probably booked more than 200 hotels. I think the only earlier one I ever had was 9:30 AM. I genuinely do not understand why there needs to be a 4-hour gap between check-out and check-in for cleaning a room that does not even have a private bathroom.
On top of that, the host said it was impossible to leave luggage after check-out because she had “negative experiences” before. So after an already disappointing stay, this just added another layer of inconvenience.
Other downsides:
* terrible pillows — sleeping felt like your head was at a 90-degree angle;
* extremely poor sound insulation, you can hear literally every movement from other guests;
* in the shower there was nothing except hand soap near the sink — no shampoo, no conditioner, no basic amenities.
Positive points:
* very good location;
* the room itself was clean;
* coffee was available in the room.
Unfortunately, the bathroom situation completely overshadowed all the positives for us. Because of that, I would rate this place 2/5.
KKatarina 凯琳Amazing location, in more peaceful area of Venice, easy access, vaporetto station right in front of hotel. Clean room, good and cosy breakfast, nice staff. I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends. :)
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
