Every detail of this stay truly reflected the thoughtful and warm hospitality of the guesthouse owner.
I stayed in the family room upstairs, and the moment I stepped in, I felt right at home. The space was comfortable and cozy, making it very relaxing. Even though the bathroom was shared, it was kept exceptionally clean and tidy, so I felt completely at ease using it.
The guesthouse offers a kitchen and dining area, and thoughtful touches like complimentary breakfast, instant noodles, and coffee are provided for guests to enjoy freely. There's also a large Mipple supermarket and McDonald's nearby, making it incredibly convenient. Taking a leisurely stroll around the guesthouse's neighborhood allowed me to really soak in the local charming and relaxed atmosphere.
The location is also excellent, not far from Amanohashidate, and easily accessible by bus. Before my check-in, the owner proactively reached out via email to ask if I needed a pick-up service, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
A special thanks to the owner for kindly helping me check the opening times of the Rotating Bridge. This allowed me to witness the beautiful scenery smoothly and created a truly wonderful memory.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed trip and a taste of local warmth!

HIRO Although it's a 15-minute walk from Miyazu Station, the scenery along the way is quite pleasant. There's a large supermarket right across from the hotel, with restaurants upstairs, which is very convenient. If you've already exchanged your two-day bus pass from the Amanohashidate Tourist Pass in advance, you can catch a bus directly to Amanohashidate and Ine right from the hotel's doorstep.

The sea view room I booked was not big but had a big terrace. The dinner included in the room was very good, but I was still a little uncomfortable with the Japanese breakfast, but it was very exquisite! It's not far from Amanohashidate Station and the cable car. There is an express train from Amanohashidate to Kyoto at 9:50 every morning. You can also take this bus to Osaka or Kobe by going to Fukuchiyama to change buses. Although the price is a bit more expensive, about 900 yen per person, it's worth it to catch the 11 o'clock bus to Kobe!

Guest UserThis hotel offered a unique and valuable experience, allowing us to enjoy a matcha tea ceremony right in our room. I ended up drinking matcha five times during my stay! The breakfast service was also delicious and fantastic. What's more, there was a complete collection of Shusaku Endo's works in the room. He was an author I'd never read before, and it was wonderful to spend a relaxing time reading his novels there. It would be even better if there were novels rooted in the local area, perhaps. Discovering something new is truly one of the greatest joys of travel.
It was a bit disappointing that the evening bar service wasn't available since it was a weekday. It would be helpful if this information was communicated to guests in advance!

The owner and his wife are nice and the service is good and the breakfast is delicious. The hot spring is in the store. I stayed for one night and soaked twice. The two soups are different in the morning and evening. The indoors are soaked in the sea. The surrounding environment of the hotel is good.

Guest UserThis traditional onsen hotel is very spacious, and the rooms are also quite large, maintaining the charm of a classic hotel. The hot spring baths are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast is abundant (especially the freshly baked French croissants, served warm, which I paired with red bean paste and cheese – absolutely heavenly, I had three and still wanted more!). The polite service from the staff was truly delightful. Most of the guests were ********* tour groups and Japanese independent travelers. If you're visiting Miyazu, this is definitely the onsen hotel to choose; it's an unparalleled option for great value for money.

Hotel location is very good for self driving travelers. The hotel is a traditional building with very good service. The staff are friendly. There were two issues due to our room location. One of them was our room located next to the public toilet. When we passed through the toilet going back to the room, it was a bit smelly. The second issue was the guest making noise by stepping around upstairs during the midnight. Other than that, the hotel itself is fantastic.

Very good hotel, although the location is a bit remote, but the environment is very good, right by the sea, the small balcony in the room faces the sea, the room is also very large, the toilet, bathroom, wash basin are separated, do not affect each other, the hotel has a public hot spring bath, open from 4 pm to 11 pm, and from 6:30 am to 9 am the next day. The front desk service is thoughtful and very professional, and they also take the initiative to ask guests if they have any questions. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal, and dinner needs to be booked in advance (we couldn't add it after we arrived in the afternoon), so we couldn't experience the dinner delivered to the room, which is a little regretful. Overall, it was a very good stay.

simple hotel with shared toilets,to wash yourself you have to go to the hotel on the opposite side of the road, that has a sento.
They can let you leave your luggage without any problem.
I HIGHLY recommend to add the option of the dinner to tge room,if you can and if you can't go eat at the hotel's restaurant, the food is delicious and the service friendly and nice!

The location of Sakamotoya is simply amazing. Just turn left from the cruise ship terminal at Amanohashidate Station. Across the road is the bus stop to Ine, and there is also a cable car 🚡 to go up the mountain for sightseeing. Bought a two-day pass to completely save the cost of travel. After arriving, we stored our luggage by ourselves and then went to Ine. Checked in after 3 o'clock, the owner had already prepared tatami in the room on the second floor. The room was spacious for 4 people. The first floor is the public area. The toilet is at the end of the second floor. The bathroom is very Japanese with a hot tub and the water temperature is very warm. In short, I am satisfied.
