Room is small. Stayed one night and over the weekend hence the room rate was high. Also it coincided with the marathon. There was free parking which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. The hotel staff are not very conversant in English and it is not near the city centre. There was however a very big supermarket nearby where we could pick foodstuff for our journey up north. Came back to Himeji a week later and this time I stayed at a hotel located in the city centre where there are a lot of parking around it.

Hotel has the usual amenities at the reception, one will need to take the night gown from the level 1 cabinet. The hotel provide home cooked breakfast which was quite tasty. Not sure if the slippers are clean as they were not in any packaging. Overall good value to price ratio.

This was the accommodation I chose to visit Himeji Castle. The facilities were clean, and each bedroom had a TV, so I could even watch Japanese programs. There was also a co-working space available, and both the accommodation and the co-working area had manga that you could freely read. It’s only about a 5-minute walk from the station, which is very convenient, and about 5 minutes by bus to Himeji Castle. I also visited Kokoen Garden next to the castle, and during the spring season, it’s open at night as well—so after enjoying the night view, I could easily return to the accommodation.

The hostess is very kind. She asked me to introduce a restaurant nearby and go to table tennis in the evening. There are no Koreans, and there are almost many American guests in Europe. It's very far from the station, but it's very close to Himeji Castle.

Location is really close to train station which I like. Lots of food options around. Himeji castle is a 20 minute walk but you can opt to take a bus if you have walking issues. The bathroom and toilet is separated. Towels and amenities such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, and moisturizing lotion are provided. To be honest we didn't know how to operate the bath pool/jacuzzi, but it was already full when we got there so it was nice. There's a windowsill which allows you to peek inside the soaking area so that was funny. If you're with your spouse it wouldn't matter though.

Apart from the water supply issue in the room, the rest are perfect. The breakfast was good, and the night views from the hotel was spectacular. The water supply in the room was too slow, and I had to go to the public bathroom for brushing teeth. The staff offered to upgrade us to another room, but we don't like the 2 single beds room so we decided to stay in the one King bedroom that we reserved.

The hotel was comfortable, with stunning field views. The stargazing hot spring bath was amazing; you could actually see so many stars! Breakfast and dinner were decent, but not particularly amazing. Many staff members were young, and most of the front desk staff could communicate in English. The hotel's clientele consisted mostly of families traveling with children. There was a separate section for dogs. The hotel had many public spaces and facilities, such as a complimentary drink bar, a snack bar, and a self-service ramen shop in the evening. The souvenir shop was also quite nice. I had a very pleasant two-day stay here.

My wife and I stayed at a Japanese-Style Room with Japanese Cypress Open-Air Bath on the Terrace. The hotel has English speaking staff who was very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, and the servers Mr Shiraiwa and Ms Yamaguchi provided excellent services. This is one of the best onsen ryokans we have experienced, and we look forward to returning.

It is a little far from Himeji station, so is it inconvenient when the weather is bad? However, there are convenience stores and McDonald's nearby, so it is convenient. The facilities are aging, but other surrounding hotels are similar, and I didn't use the large communal bath or free food and drink this time, but it's a good deal, so I definitely want you to use it. orz

The building was extremely old and poorly lit; the reception area, the guest rooms everything felt dim and gloomy. The room slippers were not disposable, which I found unhygienic, so I couldn't bring myself to wear them. Since my room was located right near the elevator, I could clearly hear the sounds of people walking in the hallway; furthermore, even while inside my room, the conversations from neighboring guest rooms were so loud that I couldn't get any sleep at night.
