GGuest UserIt was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there. Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere

CChabuduoxianshengAjThis time I stayed near Izu Kogen Station, just a few hundred meters walk away, which was very convenient. Facilities: The restaurant and hot springs were all available. Although the hot springs and restrooms are shared, it wasn't inconvenient at all. You can play PS5 and use the massage chair. There are two hot spring baths, one large and one small, which can be reserved in advance. Cleanliness: It was cleaned daily. While traditional Japanese-style rooms don't inherently look as 'clean' as modern ones, I found it quite clean. Environment: It's close to the train station and there are some restaurants nearby. The owner keeps the place very nicely decorated, with many interesting ornaments and designs. Service: The staff member is *********, which made communication very easy. Every day, a large thermos of hot water was left at the door. The hot spring reservation software was very convenient and integrated with WeChat. When I left, the owner insisted on driving me to the train station – the service was absolutely top-notch. This little inn is quite interesting; if you're used to modern hotels, you might want to try this Japanese-style one. I would definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Izu.

GGuest UserOverall, it's pretty good. I'd stay here again next time I visit. The hotel offers a shuttle service from Izu Kogen Station, but it's infrequent. To catch it: After exiting Izu Kogen Station, turn right and walk to the bus stop. The parking lot next to it is where you'll find the shuttle. Staff will confirm your reservation name, help with your luggage, and offer a refreshing cold towel – very thoughtful service. The hotel package included dinner, a late-night snack, and a buffet breakfast the next day. Dinner was very mediocre, I'd even say unappetizing. The pork was tough, the side dishes were cold, and the sashimi was overly chilled. The late-night snack was Dan Dan noodles. Since it was close to closing time, there were drips of soup all over the inside of the bowl, which looked a bit sloppy. Thankfully, the taste was quite good. Buffet breakfast was the most satisfying meal with a good variety. You can walk or take a taxi to Jogasaki Coast. If you're only going to Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, I recommend taking a taxi to a nearby parking lot, otherwise it's a 30-minute walk. A taxi to Mount Omuro costs over 2000 yen. To summarize: The toilet had a strange odor, the showerhead had low water pressure, and dinner wasn't good. Other than that, there weren't many downsides.

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

GGuest UserThe seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory. The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

AAnonymous UserHighly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

GGuest UserThe structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians. It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value. Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

MMic890The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc.    For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room.  If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
