A small note of gratitude to my most favorite accommodation ever 🥺 I was exhausted after the long flight, but from the very first step into this hostel, I was surrounded by care, hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. I actually have a lot of experience staying in hotels, from 3 to 5 stars, but I have never encountered this level of service. Maybe it's just a Japan thing, but I'm pretty sure I was just very lucky to have chosen this place. The hostel itself was wonderful. I booked a single room, and despite the compact space, I was completely satisfied. Everything was clean, with a soft big bed, air conditioning, a window, and a table—more than enough if you don't plan to stay in the room all day. The common areas were also clean and very comfortable. But my absolute favorite spot was the 1st floor, thanks of course to the amazing staff. I'm so grateful to Ai, who became a real friend to me. She was always there to help. And special thanks to Hisashi-san, Matthew, and Anthony—all of them were incredibly friendly and open to conversation. I can’t wait to stay here again. Lots of love, Mari

The price/performance ratio is really very high. It is considered a very cost-effective house in Tokyo. It is a clean independent cottage. It needs to be booked in advance, otherwise there may not be a room for you if you need to stay there temporarily like me.

I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Pros: First of all, it's cheap. It was 50,000 won per night, but that price is actually cheaper than a capsule in the city. The location is really good. If you have a subway pass, you can easily stop by the accommodation. It's 5 minutes from the subway station. The photos of the accommodation look a bit like that, but it's actually cleaner than you think. The bathroom is cleaner than my bathroom at home, if you exaggerate a little. The service is really good and the staff is friendly. The large public bath is spacious and not many people come in, so it's easy to use. There are 3 shower rooms on the first floor, but I've never seen 3 of them full. There's a convenience store and a mart nearby. Cons: Towels are 150 yen, so you have to pay for them. You also have to pay for room cleaning. There's nothing else. I really recommend it.

Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. This hotel, conveniently located near the station, boasted an amazing view. As it was a women-only floor, I didn't have to worry about encountering men. Although the room was a tiny 3 tatami mats, it was perfectly fine for just sleeping. The toilets were shared, but it was lovely to stretch out in the communal bath. Amenities were surprisingly comprehensive; they provided nightwear (a simple one-piece, so you'll need something to wear underneath), bath towels, and hand towels. The room itself had a hairdryer, mirror, humidifier, built-in TV, and a refrigerator (though no tissues, so bring your own). My only minor quibbles were that, despite being someone who can sleep almost anywhere, I was in a room close to a sink in the hallway and was woken up by the sound of it being used. Also, perhaps because I was on the 10th floor, the wind noise was a bit loud.

The hotel's location is really bizarre. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the subway station no matter which way you go. 15 minutes doesn't sound like much, but dragging luggage through those confusing streets and alleys is very complicated. The terrain is quite intricate, with lots of twists and turns. At first, I even thought Google Maps was glitching. Later, I asked the front desk, and they confirmed that's how they walk too – lots of small paths. It feels a bit unsafe at night because there are no lights and no people, but you pass through many narrow alleys! If you're planning to take the direct subway from Asakusa Station to Narita Airport, it's completely unnecessary. That was my original plan, but that particular train only comes once every three or four hours. If you're booking this hotel just to catch that train, don't bother, because you'll likely miss it. So, I ended up buying a Skyline ticket instead. Considering the location, it's not particularly convenient unless you're willing to take a taxi. I ended up taking a taxi to the central station later on. **Facilities:** The bedding is pretty good; it feels like Muji's cotton and linen blend, very comfortable. This capsule room is all-female, so everyone is quite considerate, and it's clean and quiet. The hair dryers in the ladies' restroom are also good Panasonic ones. The hair dryers are decent, and many women do their makeup in the restroom. The showers are also relatively clean. Overall, it's okay, it's just the location that's a bit out of the way! **Service:** For luggage storage, they only allow you to store it until 6:00 PM on the day of your check-out. If you go past 6:00 PM, they will definitely charge you an extra fee! The front desk staff are friendly and will help carry luggage, but perhaps it's a kind of insincere friendliness. They might smile at you while helping you at the same time. 🩸

I really enjoyed the stay! The location is just perfect, Nanjing Road, The Bund and the old city are very nearby. The room, restrooms and showers were very clean all the time and the service was excellent. Jing was the best guy at the reception, he even surprised me with a little gift when I checked out, appreciate it a lot :) Next time when in Shanghai, I’ll definitely stay at Dayin Hostel again!

This hotel was great for me! The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to the station. It's super convenient to Ueno, only one stop away. There's a 7-Eleven and Lawson right downstairs. Having my own private room was fantastic, and it was so handy having a hanger, fridge, and sink right there. The toilet and shower rooms were spotless. The staff were really friendly and happy to help with any questions. Check-out was super easy. Oh, and the electronic lock on the door was also incredibly convenient! 😆

The location is easy to find, about a 10-minute walk to Ueno. There's a convenient Lawson right outside the door if you turn right. However, other guests are very noisy when they return late at night, constantly packing their luggage. The sound of suitcases and items being dropped is really loud. Even though the guesthouse clearly states quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, some guests are inconsiderate. The noise starts as early as 4-5 AM, which is unacceptable. Friends, please take this into consideration if you're thinking of staying here. It's an all-female floor. Also, there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up to the second floor yourself – another point to consider. Slippers and towels cost 100 yen.

The N+HOTEL East Asakusa is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Tokyo, having been recently opened in 2026. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Minami-Senju Station located approximately 1km away and Haneda Airport roughly 27km away. The closest major public transportation, Minami-Senju Metro Station, is only 1km away. Seeing Tokyo's sights from this hotel is easy with Sumida Park, Asakusa Shrine and Asakusa Hanayashiki all close by. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

The front desk staff will speak Chinese and communicate easily. The room was clean and comfortable overall. Toiletries are complete and it is still a brand pola. The experience is excellent. I also found the hidden attractions of his hotel, that is, the balcony of the escape passage can see the huge clear sky tree attractions, especially in the evening to watch the sunset and the sky tree with a drink, absolutely. There is also a free water dispenser and microwave on the first floor. The stay experience is really good. Come back next time.

The staff are all kind and there's no problem if you just want to sleep. You can get free curry and udon for breakfast, and it's clear that they've made every effort to provide the best hospitality possible in a small establishment. The building is small, so they've worked hard to create a bath and rest area within it, so it always feels cramped. Those who are used to larger capsule hotels might find it a bit stressful. Personally, I felt that it was a shame that the space for the bedrock bath felt like dead space.

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

The hotel offers a welcome drink available anytime, and there is a separate onsen for men and women. In the evening at 6:00 PM, there is a free happy hour with drinks—perfect for alcohol lovers. My husband really loved it. The amenities are also of good quality. If I visit Japan again, I would definitely choose to stay here—the price is very reasonable too.

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.
