”I had a fantastic stay at M Residence during my time in Phnom Penh! As an international traveler, I look for places that offer both comfort and functionality, and this apartment delivered on both counts.
The absolute highlight for me was the spacious balcony. It’s much larger than what you typically find in city apartments. It’s incredibly airy and open, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee or to unwind while watching the city lights at night.
Another huge plus was the in-unit washing machine. When you're traveling long-term, having high-quality laundry facilities right in your room is a total game-changer. It was modern, easy to use, and saved me so much time.
The building is secure, well-located, and provides a great sense of 'home' away from home. If you are looking for a breezy, convenient, and stylish stay in the heart of the city, I highly recommend M Residence!”

I stayed at Norodom Clover Hotel and overall had a decent experience. The room was very big, clean, and comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable. However, there was construction nearby and the noise was quite loud, especially during the day. If the construction finishes, this hotel would be much better.

The location is great, in a key spot in the city which makes it easy to get around and explore. There's an Aeon Mall right across the street, which is super convenient. Plus, there are lots of restaurants nearby and it's close to the Forbidden City. I'd give the location a 10/10.
Taxi availability gets a 9/10.
For safety, you need a key card to operate the elevator, so that's a 7/10.
There was a strong smell of smoke, a 10/10 for smokiness.
Cleanliness was a 7/10.
Overall, the price was acceptable.
Positioned as an "urban ideal habitat," it precisely meets the needs of Chinese tourists through smart facilities, exclusive services for Chinese guests, and a high-value strategy. Its core competitiveness lies in the deep integration of standardized services with localized experiences, making it particularly suitable for family trips, business travel, and first-time visitors to Phnom Penh.

Run by Chinese owners, so it definitely deserves a five-star review! The room was incredibly clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is the most convenient aspect; it's super close to the S21 Genocide Museum, just a few hundred meters walk, which saved us a lot on taxi fares. The staff at the front desk, both the guys and girls, speak Chinese, so communication was incredibly smooth and completely barrier-free. Plus, there are so many great food options nearby, making it super easy to grab a bite at night. All in all, it's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Phnom Penh!

It was my last night in Cambodia, I was looking for a closer place to new airport.
Location: I think its a newly developing living area. There were not many shops, restaurants...
Cleanliness: Its pretty clean, no doubt
Service: I think front desk could put a bit more smiles on face, other then that, it's alright.
Facilities: It's a single room apartment in alley, much more like a guesthouse. The shower faucet does not work at all, which is the key to give a poor. In room wifi signale is also poor, but connection speed is alright.
Overall, its a place good for longer stay, but shower faucet not working was a big boo.... Hope they could fix it later on.

Having an in-room washing machine was incredibly convenient for my travels. The location is perfect, being within walking distance to AEON Mall and the riverfront. I booked a room here for 5 nights and then even extended my stay for another 2 nights. The hotel is located quite central in the city, so it is easy to get around.
The room was clean and nice. The staff is friendly and speaks English well and - not that it's important - the girls at the front desk looked really cute ;o).
In other reviews I read complaints about the hotel not having hot water (but just a rooftop solar water heater), which is true but was not a problem for me at all. Reality is that it never gets cold anyway and therefore the water also never gets really cold.
I recommend it and would stay here again - no doubt about that.

Surrounding by lots of restaurants. The security at G floor is the most helpful, second is the male receptionist during my first day arriving. The female staffs are not really friendly and never greet customers. They did let me do late check out because of flight delay
The room is spacious with free load minibar everyday.
One HUGE minus point of this hotel is the odor extraction system of this hotel is very bad. I dont think they have set up the right system. My nextdoor room cooked and I can smell everything in my room which is very bad.
I dont think i ll consider staying here again because of this

TTasting DreamscapeI really enjoyed my stay at Apsor Palace Hotel. It’s in a very convenient location, just a short distance from the Royal Palace and nearby shopping. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. A comfortable and pleasant experience overall.
NNadine NFavourite Hotel Ever!! As usual, it never disappoints. Truly remarkable that this is my 4th visit and I still get the same exceptional service and staff remember me. It is nice that they treat returning visitors as VIPs and are willing to factor this in when considering certain concessions.
I had accidentally spilled my chocolate frappe on the sheets. The hotel charge me for the replacement cost (which was totally fair) and discounted the cost since I am their “loyal customer). I’m not saying they should always do this but it certainly impressed me that they considered all my visits and friends I’d encouraged to stay over. Besides this though they are still usually reasonable with such things.
Per usual, there is everything around to make your stay completely seamless from shops to pharmacies to restaurants, etc.
The room service is 24 hours and excellent. Quality produce and delivery.
Staff, especially check in are very kind and helpful. I was really impressed by the check-in guy as I land early hours of the morning and he was very efficient. Plus, they had switched on the AC and the room was very comfortable after the long journey.
Having written many reviews for this hotel, there is not much more I can say as they continue to improve and maintain very high standards.
My only complaints are that the pool closes far too early at 8pm. I hope the hotel could consider extending the time. Secondly, the 4th four does not have a designated smoking section so it can become quite thick with the smoke smell. They might consider arranging ashtrays at more places than just the lift.
A UM
Undoubtedly, my hotel of choice whenever I’m in PP. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and making my stay, once again, truly wonderful! 🌹🌹
DDwcwongHotel KVL is a solid city base in Phnom Penh with a good location and views over the Mekong River. It’s close to the main bar area and a weekend street market, but that also means the road in front is closed from around 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s worth checking how that might affect your arrival or departure. Make sure you get the exact room type you booked, as there can be discrepancies, and note that the water pressure is on the weaker side, though everything else in the room works well. Breakfast is decent with enough variety, and overall the hotel offers a nice urban contrast to the resort feel of the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap.
GGuest UserHigh-end, elegant, and classy, as expected from a well-funded brand. Although the rooms aren't huge, they have a distinctive style. Downstairs, you'll find an entertainment complex and an inner-city duty-free shop. The Mekong River and the Royal Palace are right outside the door. What a perfect spot to get rich!
RRobsastarOn this trip I upgraded to one of their apartments and that made my week even more comfortable.. Very spacious, bath, 2 showers 2 toilets, 2 good aircon units and a small balcony overlooking Wat Botum pagoda.
A good family sized fridge freezer meant my drinks, milk meats and cheeses were cold.
Basic utensils but top tip, bring a normal cutlery knife.
Located on 4th floor, I woas treated to a spooky but spectacular lightning show without the rumble of thunder. Stood on balcony and had a fantastic view.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts still very good, simple but plenty. However going 'self-catering' allowed me to get my cornflakes and ice cold milk in the morning. Cannot beat that!
Next visit will see me booking an apartment only. So so convenient.
Again, Le Botum was a superb location for me.
Go to street 172. Plenty of expats....some characters too...and a 24hr supermarket called 'Smile' and you will. So much British stuff, it could have been anywhere in the UK.
Book Le Botum. You won't be disappointed.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is safe, comfortable, and conveniently situated in the Riverside district. It has a good cost performance (i.e. price-to-quality ratio). Not everything is perfect, but the staff makes up for it, they are friendly and helpful (special shout-out to Nita who is fantastic, she is the nicest person and she helped me with all my requests).
I originally booked a basic room until I found out a few days ahead the room had no window (I did not read the description carefully enough), so I upgraded for a “standard double room” with window. The first room I moved into did not have hot water. The hotel was not able to fix it, so eventually they moved me to another room where the hot water worked, which was great. The room did not have a chair and desk, but I asked the staff and they brought one. At some point, Nita helped me arrange a laundry load. It was done overnight and cost 3 dollars, so it seems the laundry is outsourced to a nearby business.
At night, the street can be a little loud, there are many bars, KTVs and nightclubs located here. But it did not bother me, I could sleep through it easily. Many of the bars have hordes of pretty women who, beginning at dusk, sit outside and come ask you to drink with them. They get your attention by shouting “hello”, “come here”, “handsome” and “bong” (mister) as you are walking by. In any event, this did not bother me, I never actually felt harassed and could come and go the hotel as I pleased.
The description mentioned the room would have a minibar, but my room didn’t have one. Probably I could have asked for it, but I realized I didn’t need one.
One morning, there was a visit by the police, they were checking visas and passports from all foreign hotel guests. This was unexpected, but it went smoothly.
Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would probably come here again. Not everything is perfect, but I give it 4.5 stars (4 stars for the price/quality/location plus an extra half-staff bonus for the staff, especially Nita).
GGuest UserExcellent location with warm service. However, it isn’t an ideal hotel location for tourist location where situating near a bin or smth like landfill that with unlike smell. Additionally, the room was filled with ants everywhere. The hygiene condition definitely has room for improvement. In terms of faculties, the bathroom can’t provide hot water with stable temperatures, i can’t take a shower with hot water around 7ish.
anyway, i still think the hotel quality is matched with the price though, not a bad choice for a short stay
JJoannaMari3What I liked about it : The receptionist is very friendly and helpful.
: They have a lift. The room is actually big. It has ac, tv, fridge. They also have slippers provided, aside from the towels and toiletries. The breakfast buffet is nice also.
: It is close to Virak Buntham.
What can be improved : The door of my room gets stuck and requires a lot of effort to close.
: The water in the shower takes long to drain.
YYigit DI arrived at this hotel around 12 noon. The reception staff welcomed me kindly. There were a few other people waiting in the lobby at the same time. They told us that the rooms were not ready yet and that check-in time was at 2 PM. I said okay and started waiting, but since I thought it might take a while, I decided to go for a walk. I explored the nearby streets, went into a market, did some shopping, and spent some time outside.
When I returned to the hotel around a little after 1 PM, I noticed that the people who had been waiting earlier were gone—so I assume their rooms had been given. The receptionist told me that my room was also ready. Then a staff member accompanied me to my room, which was on the 5th floor. The elevator in this hotel only goes up to the 4th floor, so you have to take the stairs up one more level to reach the 5th floor.
The room itself was quite spacious. The Wi-Fi worked well without any issues. However, the TV did not seem to have smart features—there was no internet connection or anything like that. It was supposed to show regular channels, but due to poor antenna reception, it barely showed anything. The channels were full of static and not watchable, so the TV was essentially unusable.
The air conditioner was working, but I think the gas might have been low, because the cooling was quite weak. Still, it was enough for me.
There is a safe box in the room, but it seemed to have been locked previously and could only be used with a key. I couldn’t use it with a digital code. There is also a minibar with various drinks, but I didn’t use it. I only used the fridge to store items I bought myself. I think having a fridge is quite important in hot countries like this—it’s definitely useful.
Hot water was available without any problems. One of the best things about this hotel is its location—it’s within walking distance to tourist areas and central entertainment spots. Other than that, I didn’t notice any particularly special features. The building itself is quite old, and I could see that it’s somewhat worn out. Still, it’s fine for a few days’ stay. But if you are expecting something luxurious, you should probably look for another hotel.
For breakfast, there is a set menu. During my three-day stay, I had the same set menu every day. It was pretty standard, nothing special. There is also a restaurant at the entrance where you can order meals, but I didn’t try it—I only had breakfast there.
That’s pretty much my experience. If you ask whether I would stay here again, I’d say it’s not bad, but you might be able to find a better place for the same price if you look around. The price was around the market average—not too expensive, not cheap either. Maybe you can find something better for the same price, but I’m not sure.
These are my thoughts about the hotel. Have a great holiday everyone!
GGuest UserTurned up at 6am as arrived on the overnight bus. My 2 cabin cases were carried upstairs for me to my awaiting “pod”! It had a light, plug socket & usb socket and fan, clean bedding! I slept for 5 hours until I had to leave for my plane. Bed was comfy, slept like a baby. Didn’t have time to use the amenities but saw a pool, a bar, pool table, menus , plenty of games - looked like it would’ve been a fun time! Arrived at the airport and realised I’d left my backpack & laptop etc !!! Couldn’t find the telephone no: but sent a grab and the bar man helped locate it and I managed to get it before the flight! If only I’d had more time - looked fun !
