No slippers in the room, and I couldn't find the TV remote, only the set-top box remote. The cleanliness needs improvement. On the plus side, the air conditioning is central AC, the soundproofing in the room is good, and the bed is quite comfortable for sleeping.

Hotel itself it's nice and clean, great ac. There is a kettle to boil water, but no fridge. Reception is very nice and speaks good English. It's around 2km from center, but walking there is totally no pleasure as it's a busy dirty road with no place for pedestrians

We have come to M residence many times and stayed in the hotel and apartment side so we have multiple perspectives. Downsides: The sheets on the bed weren't the cleanest, the table outside was filthy,, mosquitos in the bathrooms terrorized me the first night. I asked for room service but it was already 5pm so they said someone would come and nobody did.
The plus sides is this air conditioner works amazingly unlike the one from the apartment I renter here. The hotel provides drinking water, toothbrush, razor, you always have hot water for showers and fast internet.
Another thing much better than the apartment was that the hotel room came with a bunch of dishes for cooking and a tea kettle for hot water. The hotel experience would be a perfect score if the room was cleaner and prompt room service when requested.
I have to fly out in the middle of the night so I would extend another night but the price rose another 30% so I won't bother, but as someone who has stayed at the M Residence at least 3 times I would recommend it 10 times out of 10, my only advice would be for apartment renters to thoroughly test the bed and airconditioner before signing the lease. The apartments rooms are much better & I highly recommend regardless of the small inconviences
The M Residence beats out my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh because it's the best hotel your going to get for tbe price and you get a huge fridge!

The room was amazing, clean and big. The reception staff was brilliant. How ever we ran into a problem with one member of staff who was rude ( gave us dirty looks ) after we complained about our food order been wrong. We sent the same meal back 5 times after it was wrong. This was not a language barrier either because we translated it for said person. We told the manager who never got back to us. Other than that problem, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

“A perfect experience that far exceeded expectations, truly defining luxury service.”
From the moment I stepped into the lobby for my stay at your hotel, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of understated elegance. The front desk staff quickly identified my reservation, greeted me warmly by name, and handled the check-in process efficiently and courteously.
The room's details were impressive: the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable (I later learned it was a custom Slumberland mattress), the minibar was fully stocked, and the city night view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was dazzling. The dual vanity in the bathroom and the rainforest shower were particularly noteworthy, complemented by a full set of L'Occitane toiletries, exuding a sense of quality.
The hotel's dining was equally outstanding. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, and the à la carte Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection. I tried the signature dishes at the Chinese restaurant, which tasted authentic, and the waitstaff's knowledge and explanation of the dishes were professional and precise.
What touched me most was the warmth of the service. Upon returning from an outing on the second day, I found my scattered cosmetics neatly arranged on a velvet mat. When I casually inquired about nearby jogging routes, the concierge not only provided a map but also thoughtfully prepared bottled water and a towel. This proactive service truly demonstrated the hotel's deep understanding of guests' needs.
During check-out, the front desk proactively inquired about my stay and pre-arranged an express lane. Shortly after leaving, I even received a thank-you email from the hotel with an offer for a future stay – this consistent care throughout my visit surpassed many five-star hotels I've experienced.
It's no exaggeration to say that this hotel not only offers top-notch facilities but also created a wonderful travel memory for me with its impeccable attention to detail and genuine hospitality. I would unhesitatingly recommend it to all friends seeking high-quality travel and look forward to returning soon.

The reception and guest rooms are on different floors (this information might be useful for some).
The rooms are spacious.
The beds and pillows are okay.
The sofa is bad, too hard.
The bathroom has an old-fashioned bathtub, making it inconvenient to get in and out of the shower.
There's no separate shower area or bathroom/toilet area, which might be inconvenient with many people.
The TV program selection is limited, and the picture quality is poor (I guess nobody watches TV anymore).
You need a card to access the guest room floors in the elevator, so security is adequate.
There's a swimming pool, although it's relatively small, but thankfully it wasn't very crowded on weekends, so it was practically private.
There's a gym and sauna, but they're open to the public and get quite busy on weekends.
There's a spa, but staff are limited, so reservations are necessary.
The buffet breakfast isn't extensive, but the taste is acceptable.
The hotel isn't in the city center, but it's convenient for getting to the city center and major supermarkets.
There's a shopping mall, a small supermarket, and a Brown Coffee shop downstairs.
There's a 24-hour convenience store at the gas station across the street.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's close to Independence Monument and the Royal Palace, and there's a mini-mart right next door, which is super convenient. The front desk staff are really welcoming and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, and they even helped us with our luggage. The Wi-Fi is fast too! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value modern hotel. Large, stylish room. The best breakfast we have had in one month of travels, so much to choose from made to order. Gorgeous pool area with a long enough pool to do some meaningful lengths in, loved it, especially with the great selection of reasonably priced cocktails.
The following I am honestly nitpicking. For the price you are unlikely to beat this but if there are any areas for improvement, things to be aware of:
Note there is construction going on next door, nothing the staff can do about that, they even provided ear plugs in the room which wasn't necessary unless you're sleeping in past 7. I was more disturbed by the bass from a bar nearby which went on to early hours Friday night, not the most sound proof rooms.
I think the pool area could be made even better with just a couple more sun beds spaced around (there were only 5 and then chairs & sofas which got filled up in late afternoon). I think there is a gym room which is not fitted out but would be a great addition if finished. The daytime bar staff could be a bit more active, dirty glasses and towels left about by the pool whilst they were scrolling on phones.
The restaurant meal was ok, overcooked steak and not a very good creme brulee but 25% off food voucher was worth it (accompanied with the cocktails... Did I mention I liked the cocktails?)
We didn't get full bearings of the city, but there wasn't anything within walking distance that we particularly enjoyed. Feels like a bit of tension in the neighborhood in terms of economic living standards, it's clearly going through some aggressive gentrification and locals are being left behind.

Great
GGuest UserBooked a room for three people. The room had one queen-sized bed and one 3-foot small bed. It was a corner room with a window and a balcony. The location was okay, 100 meters from the main road. There was free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was okay. The noodles were very salty. Overall, it was okay.
NNadine NFavourite Hotel Ever!! As usual, it never disappoints. Truly remarkable that this is my 4th visit and I still get the same exceptional service and staff remember me. It is nice that they treat returning visitors as VIPs and are willing to factor this in when considering certain concessions.
I had accidentally spilled my chocolate frappe on the sheets. The hotel charge me for the replacement cost (which was totally fair) and discounted the cost since I am their “loyal customer). I’m not saying they should always do this but it certainly impressed me that they considered all my visits and friends I’d encouraged to stay over. Besides this though they are still usually reasonable with such things.
Per usual, there is everything around to make your stay completely seamless from shops to pharmacies to restaurants, etc.
The room service is 24 hours and excellent. Quality produce and delivery.
Staff, especially check in are very kind and helpful. I was really impressed by the check-in guy as I land early hours of the morning and he was very efficient. Plus, they had switched on the AC and the room was very comfortable after the long journey.
Having written many reviews for this hotel, there is not much more I can say as they continue to improve and maintain very high standards.
My only complaints are that the pool closes far too early at 8pm. I hope the hotel could consider extending the time. Secondly, the 4th four does not have a designated smoking section so it can become quite thick with the smoke smell. They might consider arranging ashtrays at more places than just the lift.
A UM
Undoubtedly, my hotel of choice whenever I’m in PP. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and making my stay, once again, truly wonderful! 🌹🌹
DDwcwongHotel KVL is a solid city base in Phnom Penh with a good location and views over the Mekong River. It’s close to the main bar area and a weekend street market, but that also means the road in front is closed from around 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s worth checking how that might affect your arrival or departure. Make sure you get the exact room type you booked, as there can be discrepancies, and note that the water pressure is on the weaker side, though everything else in the room works well. Breakfast is decent with enough variety, and overall the hotel offers a nice urban contrast to the resort feel of the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap.

GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is safe, comfortable, and conveniently situated in the Riverside district. It has a good cost performance (i.e. price-to-quality ratio). Not everything is perfect, but the staff makes up for it, they are friendly and helpful (special shout-out to Nita who is fantastic, she is the nicest person and she helped me with all my requests).
I originally booked a basic room until I found out a few days ahead the room had no window (I did not read the description carefully enough), so I upgraded for a “standard double room” with window. The first room I moved into did not have hot water. The hotel was not able to fix it, so eventually they moved me to another room where the hot water worked, which was great. The room did not have a chair and desk, but I asked the staff and they brought one. At some point, Nita helped me arrange a laundry load. It was done overnight and cost 3 dollars, so it seems the laundry is outsourced to a nearby business.
At night, the street can be a little loud, there are many bars, KTVs and nightclubs located here. But it did not bother me, I could sleep through it easily. Many of the bars have hordes of pretty women who, beginning at dusk, sit outside and come ask you to drink with them. They get your attention by shouting “hello”, “come here”, “handsome” and “bong” (mister) as you are walking by. In any event, this did not bother me, I never actually felt harassed and could come and go the hotel as I pleased.
The description mentioned the room would have a minibar, but my room didn’t have one. Probably I could have asked for it, but I realized I didn’t need one.
One morning, there was a visit by the police, they were checking visas and passports from all foreign hotel guests. This was unexpected, but it went smoothly.
Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would probably come here again. Not everything is perfect, but I give it 4.5 stars (4 stars for the price/quality/location plus an extra half-staff bonus for the staff, especially Nita).
RRobsastarOn this trip I upgraded to one of their apartments and that made my week even more comfortable.. Very spacious, bath, 2 showers 2 toilets, 2 good aircon units and a small balcony overlooking Wat Botum pagoda.
A good family sized fridge freezer meant my drinks, milk meats and cheeses were cold.
Basic utensils but top tip, bring a normal cutlery knife.
Located on 4th floor, I woas treated to a spooky but spectacular lightning show without the rumble of thunder. Stood on balcony and had a fantastic view.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts still very good, simple but plenty. However going 'self-catering' allowed me to get my cornflakes and ice cold milk in the morning. Cannot beat that!
Next visit will see me booking an apartment only. So so convenient.
Again, Le Botum was a superb location for me.
Go to street 172. Plenty of expats....some characters too...and a 24hr supermarket called 'Smile' and you will. So much British stuff, it could have been anywhere in the UK.
Book Le Botum. You won't be disappointed.
GGuest UserI booked a room here for 5 nights and then even extended my stay for another 2 nights. The hotel is located quite central in the city, so it is easy to get around.
The room was clean and nice. The staff is friendly and speaks English well and - not that it's important - the girls at the front desk looked really cute ;o).
In other reviews I read complaints about the hotel not having hot water (but just a rooftop solar water heater), which is true but was not a problem for me at all. Reality is that it never gets cold anyway and therefore the water also never gets really cold.
I recommend it and would stay here again - no doubt about that.
BBellaN5The hotel is brilliantly located and has amazing views from the top floor. The rooms are large but with little hanging area. The beds are large and hard but comfortable. Room service and housekeeping is haphazard. Some days your room is serviced other days not.
The staff are friendly, breakfasts are okay but limited choice of fresh fruit and veg. The pool area is crammed with around 10 beds squeezed in to one side of the terrace but do have shade.
Great value and would likely return.
GGuest UserHotel located at hub of city, very convenience.Staff very nice attitude, talk politely. Will returned booking once got opportunity in future.
GGuest UserOne of the only good things about this hotel is its great location. We booked a room with a window ( for an extra fee). Upon check-in we were informed that there is no room with a window available and that if we don't like the room we can request a room change. The receptionist offered no apology as if it is normal to get a room without a window even if you have paid for it. Since we arrived at 8pm we had no option but to accept it. No compensation in any form was offered. The next morning we requested a room change because the room stank of sewage. It was one of the worst rooms I had stayed in my life. The room was dirty and smelly, the walls looked as if they hadn't been painted for a decade and the furniture and bed were in need of renovation. Thankfully we were able to switch rooms but again no compensation was offered. The second room was a bit better.
