Hotels near Pinocchio Resort in Wonju

The Orchid Hotel was everything and more as described on their website and the reviews. I stayed in the superior room with 1 king bed which was very comfortable. The air conditioner is adjustable to your preference. The hotel was very clean, spacious, very friendly staff (24hr lobby staff)and in the perfect location. They provided robes, slippers, 2 bottled waters, clean towels daily. The bathroom has a bidet which is separate from the shower area. They also have a pot to heat water instantly and they provide coffee and camomile tea bags. There was a large desk area in this room and a large television. The location is right across the street from a large shopping mall that also has restaurants and walking distance to Musil (restaurants, cinema, shopping). They do have a pool and has pizza and beer every evening at rooftop bar. All your needs are very close to this hotel. The bus terminal is ~6 minutes walking distance and train is ~ 10 minute taxi ride. Approximately 2 miles is the outdoor market (food/shopping). Considerations: make sure to bring international chargers, translate app and if get Wow pass can top up with cash at 7/11 or CU. I did make several attempts to top up on Wow pass app with credit card and was having difficulty. The bus terminal and taxi’s accept international visa credit card. The bus terminal does not accept T card. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the staff and cleanliness.

This motel is close to Wonju Free Market, Jungwon Traditional Market, and Wonju Doraemi Market. It also has a 7-Eleven just around the corner. I arrived at the motel at around 10:30pm, and there was already nobody in the check-in counter. I had to rang the bell and call and waited for around 15 minutes before someone came out and checked me in. Water kettle was not provided in the room, I had to go down to the lobby to use the public water kettle, which was very inconvenient. And no instant coffee sticks or tea bags provided. Room facilities were also quite old, however space is very generous as the room was quite spacious. One thing I was particularly not satisfied with was the toilet water, it was very weak, and it drained very very slowly.

It turns out that this hotel caters to folk who are looking for privacy and anonymity and maybe even an hourly rate. That said, it worked fine for our family of 4, though the room was a bit cramped. For the price, we can't complain, and the free rooftop ramyeon 'buffet' (open 24 hours a day!) was a hit with the youngsters. The beds were very comfortable, though we wished the curtains held out more light than they did. Is this a great hotel? No, but for the price it's good enough that we would come back here without thinking twice.

There is also a styler, so it was easy to manage clothes during the trip. It is a high place to visit again, and you can take water to your heart's content in the lobby on the first floor.

I went without high expectations, but the cleanliness was excellent and the interior furniture felt tastefully designed. I liked the impression that attention to detail was paid to every aspect. The bathroom was very spacious, which was nice, but I did feel a slight regret that the room itself wasn't bigger. Haha. It felt a bit like a European guesthouse, and I had a comfortable stay.

The cleanliness was so good. If my parents were a little messy, they couldn't sleep well, but they slept so well. I checked in a little late and kindly guided me. However, it was a pity that there was a little distance to use amenities around.

The room was surprisingly huge, the shower was nice and the proximity to restaurants, 24/7 convenient store and obviously the slope is top notch. The parking is also okay, there's plenty of spaces. Lift pass and rental combo is tax free for foreigners if you book on site. However there is a huge elevator problem, if you're not lucky on which floor you're on, or not doing the ”go up to go down” strat, then you'll never be able to get into the elevator. It was especially difficult that day because one of the elevators was broken. Body towels and toothbrush / toothpaste isn't included, with 1 body towel being around 200yen to borrow. All the staff were nice and spoke enough english. FYI 99% of people there are Koreans. I was there from 10am and stayed overnight and I've only heard / saw 2 Hong Kong people and NO MORE LOL no foreigners at all. Another thing is that most of the mountain was closed, only the beginner green slope and the bird lift was open, so 1 green and 2 blue squares. Not sure why but I'm a beginner so I was mostly on bird lift anyway. Overall my friend and I enjoyed our stay.

It is located just off the bus terminal outside Yuanzhou City. I arrived at the bus terminal around 21:00 and headed for the motel from there. Haraju was my first place to visit, but it was helpful because the motel was in an easy-to-understand location. Since I arrived at night, the front desk was out of the seat and had to wait for a while. Even if I called the number on the guide board, I couldn't help but do it. I was at a loss for a moment, but the front desk basically seems to be manned at night, so if you wait, the staff will come back. Also, I think the building is old and the scale is small, but I glimpsed the cleaning of the room with a ２ person system and the cleaning was firmly done with a deck brush. However, it is the cheapest motel in the surrounding area. The quality of the facilities is high for the price, but you may be shocked if you expect it. If you are used to going to a motel in a Korean region, you should be able to spend comfortably without any problems.

I've stayed here before, and it is clean, quiet, and blackout dark. This time, however, the standard room I had reserved was unavailable, and so I got an upgrade, which just had two computers instead of one (both of which I don't need), and the room actually seemed smaller than the last time I remember. Checkout time was not until 12, but I received two phone calls to tell me to check out before then. I was in the shower and ran out to get the first call, but they had already hung up. So just a bit of an annoying start to my day. Otherwise, I would recommend it again. Just ask them not to call you.

I stayed in a room on the 8th floor. There was a toothbrush and a self-service bar, so I was able to use the cups as well. The room is spacious and clean. The owner is also kind. I checked in early, but it was disappointing that I checked in at 8 o'clock.
