The hotel is a little old as can be seen from the chipped tabletop and squeaky shower compartment screen. The location is not bad as there are convenient stores right at the lobby. Location is not much of a problem as we took taxis everywhere. It’s spacious and they make up room everyday without you asking. We were just a little uncomfortable with the sewage smell in the toilet, though bearable, as well as the little salty taste in the water even after boiling. Overall, good value for money.

Very clean and easy place to find, lots of places around for a quick bite or snacks, service was very helpful and easy to figure out on your own if arriving at night, would recommend.

I personally found the hotel's location inconvenient unless you plan on taking taxis or Uber everywhere. Walking back from Seomyeon Station was a long trek, especially if you took the wrong exit. It was much closer and easier to walk from Beomnaegol Station. When I first asked the front desk staff for directions to the subway, they told us to go to Seomyeon Station! Why wouldn't they mention Beomnaegol Station, which is so much closer?
Check-in is only after 3 PM, and late check-out costs 1500 JPY per hour. The suite itself was quite spacious, with a large fridge, a sofa, a balcony, and a walk-in closet. Overall, the room was great, but it had a washing machine without a drying rack, so I couldn't do laundry during my 3-night stay. It was a shame.
The free breakfast had very few options. You need to use an app to operate the elevators and enter your room. This is convenient for most modern people who always have their phones, but just make sure your phone doesn't run out of battery!

If you're looking to explore Seomyeon's Youth Street, this place is fantastic and super convenient. However, if you plan on going to the beach, I'd suggest staying closer to Haeundae.
Here, shopping, eating, and buying things are all incredibly easy. The room has many clever space-saving features, which I highly recommend. There's a window seat with cushions and a coffee table, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee. The only downsides are that it's a bit noisy facing the street, and the curtains aren't very light-blocking, so I'd advise bringing an eye mask and earplugs.
One particularly great feature is that the rooms use underfloor heating instead of air conditioning, making it much less dry. The whole room is wonderfully warm, which was a real treat for a winter stay. The complimentary hand soap, conditioner, and shampoo all smelled lovely. Plus, there's a separate washing machine for laundry and even a microwave! You can also store your luggage on the second floor at any time.
It's self-check-in with no front desk, so remember to check your email for the check-in password. Also, for continuous stays, bottled water, capsule coffee, and towels need to be requested from the owner daily, as they aren't proactively provided. It seems they only provide them for a total of two days, so please be aware of that. If you need more drinks, there are plenty of convenience stores downstairs, making it easy to buy more!
It's very close to the subway station! Exit 12 has a direct elevator, which is great if you have luggage.
Make sure to check out the delicious pork barbecue at 'Zhumu Roast Pork' about 50 meters away! You can find it on Dazhong Dianping!
Overall, highly recommended!
Hello, we're Loft6. Located in the heart of Seomyeon, it has a private basement and a lobby for non-face-to-face check-in. It's also a single room for one person, optimized for solo time.
GGuest User2026.04.26
It's close to the train station and bus stop, and there's a famous restaurant area with places like Dwaeji Gukbap (pork rice soup) and convenience stores nearby. However, the entrance is a little set back, so be careful not to miss it.
Before check-in, you'll receive instructions on how to enter your room, so follow those instructions to find out how to open the front door and your room. It might be confusing at first, but you'll get used to it.
I didn't encounter any staff during my stay.
There's no elevator, so it might be difficult for those with heavy luggage.
There's a coffee, water, and refrigerator service in the basement.
The toilet and shower are quite close together, so you'll get quite wet, and guests staying multiple nights will need to replenish their own amenities.
The shower pressure is good, but the sink is small, so you'll need to be careful when washing your face.
The bed is just a mattress, but the TV and air conditioning are new and comfortable. A charger cable was also provided.
Although it's a newly renovated hotel, if you pay attention to the details of the interior, it's recommended for those who are easygoing and don't mind minor imperfections.
If you're used to traveling in Asia, have light luggage, and just need a clean place to sleep, this is a good choice! I think this is a viable option for people like that!

While the room was clean, my stay at Avani Central Busan was underwhelming. The location is not strategic, being quite far from major subway stations, making transportation difficult. Furthermore, it is hard to find restaurants or dining options in the immediate vicinity. For a recognized chain hotel, the service fell short: they refused to warm up food, and when asked for ice, I was told to buy it at a convenience store. Not recommended for travelers looking for convenience.

This is my third stay at a Toyoko Inn hotel (the first was in Shinfuji Station, Fujishi, Japan, and the second was in Kawaguchiko, Japan). It's a highly modular and standardized hotel brand, and they all share one common trait: each hotel is located near a subway line or transportation hub, making convenient transportation its biggest advantage. Every room in every hotel is exactly the same, whether in Japan or Korea; it's completely copy-pasted. Breakfast is standard. Japanese locations typically have microwaves, water dispensers, and ice makers, but I'm not familiar with the public facilities at the Busan Seomyeon branch; I didn't see any in the lobby on the ground floor. Also, this Busan Seomyeon location doesn't have self-check-in like the ones in Japan, which adds a bit more human touch and less of the coldness of a systematic, rule-bound approach. The English proficiency of the front desk staff was much better than in Japan; basic communication was no problem, and they were very polite. The cleaning staff were also very courteous, actively greeting guests and apologizing if they needed to use the elevator, which shows the hotel's strict employee management.
Now for the downsides:
Because of the identical room design, the Busan Seomyeon branch copied the Japanese room size, making it very small. While this size is acceptable in Japan, I find it excessively small in Korea, especially the bathroom. I believe it's a modular, quick-build type, with composite flooring. The toilet was my biggest dissatisfaction; I'm not particularly large, but sitting on it felt very small and uncomfortable. The room itself was also small, with the bed placed against the wall. The bed size wasn't small, though; it was wide enough for two people. However, opening one suitcase made the room feel very cramped; a full-sized 24-inch checked suitcase couldn't even be opened flat. And there's one design element in every Toyoko Inn that I really don't understand: there's always a large mirror directly facing the bed, and it's difficult to cover. This is something most Chinese people are particularly bothered by, and it leads to the most memorable thing I want to talk about.
The following is my personal experience; please consider it yourself and it does not represent anyone else's opinion:
I am normally an atheist, but two experiences at Toyoko Inn have left me unable to explain them. The first was at Toyoko Inn Shinfuji Station in Fujishi, Japan. In the early hours of the morning, my phone, which was on the bedside table, suddenly started vibrating. It was that unique Apple phone vibration when you toggle the flashlight on the lock screen, and also the vibration you get when you plug in the charger. It repeated for a long time, waking me and my travel companion, and continued intermittently. Both our phones simultaneously had the same issue, even though we hadn't touched them, and they were placed screen-down on the bedside table. It scared us to death. This had never happened before or since, and restarting the phones made no difference. That was my first stay at Toyoko Inn, and I was indeed attracted by the complete public facilities and clean hygiene. The breakfast the next morning was also delicious, and I got a membership card during my second stay. During my third stay (this time in Busan Seomyeon), a similar incident occurred around 5 AM. My electric toothbrush was charging in its charging case, and there had been no problem all night. Then, around 5 AM, the toothbrush continuously made a buzzing 'charging' sound in its case. This lasted for a very long time, with a frequency of about once every 10 seconds. According to my travel companion (because I was woken up later), this phenomenon lasted for about half an hour. Because of the previous experience, my travel companion was too scared to move this time. I finally unplugged it to make it stop. Again, nothing similar had ever happened before or since.
I guarantee that everything I have stated is true and not exaggerated in the slightest. I have no need to exaggerate. I genuinely like the Toyoko Inn brand, even though the rooms are very small and, due to high standardization, lack the warmth that a hotel should have. I hope the hotel sees my review and responds to me. It would be even better if it could be reported to the hotel group for investigation. My travel companion is no longer willing to choose Toyoko Inn, and I prefer to believe that these two experiences were coincidences, even though no similar issues have ever occurred anywhere else, not even once.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the heart of a bustling commercial district with an abundance of dining and shopping options. It's also very close to Seomyeon subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient.
The hotel itself doesn't have an elevator, but the staff are proactive and helpful, assisting guests with their luggage up and down the stairs, which is a big plus. The room was generally clean and tidy, providing a comfortable stay. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't very effective; I ended up opening the window for better ventilation.
Overall, my stay was quite good, and I would definitely consider choosing this hotel again if I return to Busan.

This hotel is a nice and comfy hotel, suitable for three people sharing one room. The room setup works well for a small group, and the overall stay feels cozy and practical. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to Seomyeon Station, shops, and restaurants. They also provide a snack station for guests, which is a nice added touch during the stay.
If you’re staying with three people, be mindful that space for luggage can be a bit limited, so it’s better to pack light or organize your bags efficiently.

The hotel is within walking distance from Seomyeon Station, even with luggage. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights in a spacious, accessible room. Although there were only two elevators, I didn't experience any inconvenience. The room was well-cleaned, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent, making for a comfortable stay. I assume it's a business hotel that keeps prices down by offering minimal services, so there were no particular issues. The service was neither good nor bad, so I gave it 3 stars. The only minor downside, though understandable, was not being able to flush toilet paper.

Great
GGuest UserJust a minute from the subway and convenient to go to any attractions in Haeundae. However, it takes plenty of time to get a lift up or down as too many hotel guests share in the same building. As such, it is not easy to get in the lift particularly during the peak hours. The hotel room size is average but the blanket is a bit hot to cover. We were staying 2 nights there, the 1st night is so far so good. However the 2nd night is a nightmare and we could not slept for the entire night. As the stove ventilation pipe has ”tart tart” sound continously since 23:05 till more than an hour. We have not used it before but the sound came out suddenly. However, the receptionist desk closed since 23:00 so we have no way to voice out our condition. Honestly, we will not put it in our list in the future.
GGuest UserSteven was patient and clear in explaining how to have a comfortable stay at MAMA Guesthouse. He was friendly and speaks great English (no communication issues). Will definitely stay again when I go to Busan.
GGuest UserThe room was quite clean, though very small. The location is incredibly convenient; you can see the hotel just to the left of Busan Station Exit 1, only about a 100-meter walk. It's also right next to Busan Subway Station Exit 6, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is really handy. The downside is the poor soundproofing; there was intermittent noise from what sounded like a motor, and the toilet flushing was extremely loud.
GGalaxyZView - If you are keen in wharf / harbor view, this hotel (see images) is along the harbour next to wharf, Songdo, so there is no beach on the wharf. At 4am you can hear commotion at the wharf, interesting for a different view from city or sea view. Nearest Songdo beach is still at distance, it is not at door step.
Booked a large room for family of 4, comes with 1 Queen bed, 1 single, the last pax ended on the floor with Futons. (Although I indicated i had 4 pax, housekeeper does not seem to be aware, replenishes only for 3 pax?). Small hand towels are issued as bath towel, just be aware. Quite common for smaller hotel accommodation here (inn, AirBnB).
Floor heater, water heater works, daily housekeeping. Has bath tub not used at all for winter. Good balcony for sitting in the cold to watch the wharf bustle. Pax using futon had a few bites by bugs, not sure if flew in from outside the room, else the room is clean.
Nice open terrace at roof top with telescope to look into Lotte mall at distance, and the open sea after the bridge on the right.
Complimentary breakfast offering at basement kitchen is available until 9AM (not 9.30am) - kitchen staff will remind you to finish up at close to 9am, and please clear your dishes at collection area, discard leftovers, return cultery, utensils. Breakfast spread : Cereal with milk (only on weekend), ONE slice of toast with jam, egg/s, one fruit or yoghurt, one coffee/tea, ONE juice, one instant noodles (if you want). Only tried for first morning, other mornings has similar menu on the wall.
Staff - looks like husband wife team. Friendly to greet at reception at upper level.
Safety wise - As accommodation is located at harbour with large prime movers and containers movements, it is better to travel in groups to look out for each other. I note the drivers are generally careful to look out for pedestrians on the harbour, wharf. Can be a bit dark at night in the surrounding area of the accommodation.
Plus point - Double entrance door which allow you to lock inner door in case main door is being accessed externally.
Location - About 20mins or so by bus to Busan shopping area where the crowd is. Not too far,
The more popular tourist spots, beach sites is further up northeast at Haeundae beach, which is about 1 hour bus ride away.
Pricing -, for the pricing, there are better known hotel chains going at more economic rates. So need to do proper research before booking.
Else pleasant stay, simple, large room, no fanfare.
PPopiahfinoFinding the hotel was rather easy, not too far away from the nearest metro. The check-in counter is small, only one counter, and the line beside it was the check-in for another provider. The lady mending the counter for the other accommodation was very rude.
Location was perfect, it was easy to get a K Ride. We were surrounded by 7-11, convenience stores, eateries, olive young, and much more. We were spoilt for choices.
Located in-between Gwangali and Haeundae beach allowed me to explore both precincts without taking too much. Close by also is the work’s biggest department store, with the best Spa experience ever.
GGuest UserThe hotel was a bit hard to find since it's tucked away in an alley, but it's really close to the main Haeundae road. It was super convenient for grabbing a meal and then heading straight to Haeundae beach. Being a new building, it was very clean and had a great interior. The only minor issue was a slight new-house smell that made my eyes sting a little, which was a bit unpleasant.
GGuest UserThe hotel was location is an excellent location. Very convenient and nearby to shops and the haeundae beach with mrt less than 7 mins walk which makes it very convenient.
I booked a twin room - double and single bed. Room is new, clean and a good size for city. This room does not provide unobstructed Seaview.
Whats disappointing:
1. We needed to change cash for laundry which was part of the hotel. The reception say no change.
2. We initially reserve 2 night then extend a further 2 night's. We requested for cleaning on 3rd day. Whilst they replace the towels, wash the cups and provided free bottles of water,
- bed not made,
- floor not vacumn( hairs visible) and
- toilet not cleaned ( hair in the shower cubicle)
GGuest UserI recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Elephant in Busan, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character.
Check-in & First Impressions:
Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel.
Room:
I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area.
The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value.
Amenities & Services:
While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it.
Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything.
Location:
This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night.
Staff & Hospitality:
Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected.
Overall Impression:
Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.
KKeumbiVery centrally located, easy to find building. But surprised to see no reception. All the details are delivered by email/messages or calls when needed. Fun to have night market right outside the building.
GGuest UserThe location is great—right in front of BIFF Street. The room is spacious enough to comfortably open two large suitcases. One of the best features is the separate toilet and shower area, which is quite rare in Korea. Essentials like shampoo, a hair dryer, and other toiletries are provided.
They also have a handy machine that removes dust and dries your clothes—perfect if you don’t want to do a full wash but still want your clothes fresh and clean.
The only minor downside is the uphill slope leading to the hotel, but it shouldn’t be a problem for most people with luggage.
