For our stay in Vang Vieng, we chose Hotel Ruby Mountain View Resort, and overall it was a beautiful and comfortable experience.
The biggest highlight of this resort is definitely the stunning mountain views. Waking up to the dramatic limestone cliffs right outside your window feels surreal. The property has a peaceful vibe, making it a perfect escape after a day of exploring lagoons and viewpoints.
Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. One of the standout features was the bathtub with a view soaking while looking at the mountains sounds dreamy (and it is!). However, we did notice a slight privacy concern, as neighbouring properties can see the bathtub area quite easily. It would be great if the resort could improve privacy there for an even better experience.
A special mention to Mary, the receptionist, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Her warm hospitality truly made our stay smoother and more enjoyable.
Overall, if you're visiting Vang Vieng and want scenic mountain views with a relaxing resort vibe, this is a lovely option. With a small improvement in bathtub privacy, it would be absolutely perfect!

Vangrong is really worthy of its reputation in the rainy season. There were continuous thunderstorms all night and showers during the day. But thanks to the weather, I saw different landscapes. The hotel is adjacent to the Nansong River and backed by the mountain. The air is very fresh, the garden environment is beautiful, the vegetation is rich, and there are many fruit trees. It is really the best choice for Vangrong hotels in terms of cost performance. Except that it is a little far from the downtown area of Vangrong, there are basically no other disadvantages. The owner is a large travel company in Suzhou, China. It is safe to stay and there is no barrier to communication in Chinese. I would like to praise the waiter Pan Juan. She provided us with meticulous service during the two stays this year. She is fluent in Chinese and warm and friendly!

DO NOT STAY HERE!
If you read the reviews you will see that many people complain about items being stolen from there bags. I have a strong suspicion this is the cleaners and instead of cleaning they are going through people’s bags. Upon check in we were warned by the receptionist not to leave any valuables in our room and to take them everywhere with us. Which is not what you want to hear at check in. Anyways luckily we listened to the receptionist as we had seen concerning reviews before staying here. Without surprise our bags had been gone through. Luckily nothing was stolen from us as we were smart enough to remove our valuables. However, still leaving an unsettling feeling knowing items were moved in our bags as they got searched, they even left the zipper in the incorrect position after as seen in the image.
Despite this issue there were also a lot of ants in our room and the room wasn’t properly cleaned any time the cleaners entered the room as there were stains left on the counters and floors and I expect the cleaners were too busy trying to steal stuff.
Despite these issues it is not the worst place and the location is good but I think if they just got new trustworthy cleaners then this place would be so much better.

Room was okay, however I don’t think the bed was changed before we arrived. Lots of residual hairs in the bed when we checked in! Location is good, 10 minute walk to the main area and breakfast was nice as well with multiple options.
Service was okay but reception were mainly on their phones when guests were walking past and marked down on amenities. No shower gel provided and smallest bottles of water I have seen in Laos provided. If you’re paying for a private room would expect a little more tbh.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right in the city center. There are plenty of dining options, shopping, and attractions nearby, so getting around is a breeze – you can go anywhere easily.
The hotel environment is also very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, making for a relaxing stay. My favorite parts were the pool and billiards area; it was great to unwind there in the evening, creating a wonderful vibe!
Breakfast is served on the 5th floor from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. It's super convenient to have it right in the hotel, and the variety was good, really starting the day off right.
The hotel has 8 floors in total. If you want a more comfortable stay with better views, I highly recommend choosing the Deluxe View Room. The scenery outside the window is truly beautiful and makes for fantastic photos.
If you're on a budget, the Economy or Standard rooms are also great value for money. Regardless of the room type you choose, you still get access to the hotel's public areas like the pool and breakfast area, and you can still enjoy the mountain views surrounding the hotel. Overall, the experience is excellent.
Overall, it's perfect for a vacation or a trip with friends. I'll definitely be back next time, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is a little away from the city centre. Clean but not super neat. I stay there with kids which I found the place is not very suitable for me since they allowed their guest to use large speakers until 11 pm and it was in front of my tent. I told them to manage but I lastly need to get involve and confront them myself to sort it out.
Not very well managed on this matter but they tried to do everything to apologize in the morning. The hotel was ok the view was exceptional only if they manage this a little bit better would be superb place to stay. [I stayed there late of the year it might be the party timing may or may not occur all the time of the year]

GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming.
*We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.

GGuest UserVery nice and clean. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is strong. There's more than enough deck chairs around the pool and on the rooftop to lounge at, and to watch the countdown fireworks that the staff launch from the entrance.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming every time I walk past the lobby. The location is very convenient and the breakfast is very worth the price. Other than the buffet on offer (which rotates daily), you can still choose an item off the ala carte menu. They also allow refilling of water bottles at breakfast, which is great for both the wallet and the environment.
Activities and laundry service that they offer are also priced pretty conveniently. I'll definitely stay here again should I come back to Vang Vieng.

One morning, we were treated to the magical sight of hot air balloons drifting across the sky, adding an extra layer of wonder to our stay.
The location couldn’t have been better, providing easy access to local restaurants and cultural sights. The friendly and attentive staff ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. AAlessioSRGEExcellent property for a stay in Vang Vieng, so good that many guests from other hotels come here just to take photos on the walkway with the postcard-perfect rice paddy backdrop. The staff are well-trained and very helpful, and they speak and understand English well. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a superior room. Breakfast was served on our room's veranda at the time and with the menu we had chosen the day before, offering a good selection of international breakfast options. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle, making it very quiet at night. The superior room was very spacious and felt like an independent bungalow. It was very clean, with a large bathroom, and equipped with all the essentials for coffee, tea, and some excellent cookies. The price is a bit above average, but it's definitely worth the money. The restaurant is very good, though prices are slightly above the local average, and the food can be quite spicy.

I booked a single room with partially view to the mountains, then they said that if I stayed one more night they could upgrade my room for a Deluxe room for the same price and OMG the new room had jacuzzi, balcony and FULL view to the mountains. It was impressive! This deluxe room was lovely, AC and internet worked fine. I appreciated this. The breakfast was included and they have a lot of variety. They also have coffee machine and you can get cappuccinos. They give you water and soap in the rooom. They also cleaned my shoes after a muddy hike I did. I think I would stay here again if I come back to Vang Vieng. The first photos are from the single room. The photos from the deluxe room start from the photo where you can see the road from above. I recommend this hotel and if you can stay in the deluxe one you won't regret!!! Thank to the staff! The last two photos were taken with my phone from the deluxe room.

With Big and wide windows to see the mountains 🏔️ and clouds 🌧️ such a wonderful and beautiful place ! There were some small incidents like power outages and so forth but further than that the young gentleman in the lobby was always ready to help us 💕🙏🏻 we praise him for his hard work and making this stay in Vang Vieng so pleasantly happy 😃!!

There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none.
There was no daily room service.
For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water)
The breakfast buffet was great.
The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony.
I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.

During my stay it was raining heavily so it was inconvenient to leave the hotel to get food. The pool and view is beautiful. The location is great too. Walking distance to the walking street.
