Hotels near Straits Quay in Tanjung Tokong

Had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and all the amenities were in good condition. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions.

The location was excellent and the room was very spacious, which I appreciated. However, the room was a bit dusty, causing me to cough. I think it would have been much better if there were an air purifier or similar equipment available.

It has all the basic amenities needed but just no washing machine or USB power port. The location is ideal, just across the road there is a Family Mart at Caltex. Parking is a bit limited. The WiFi is a bit sketchy and sometimes it can lead to bad connection.

Actually this is my second time to book this hotel. It is clean and nice. They provide a parking area. I can't tell how good the services are, because I don't see anyone for the check in and check out service. I just took the room key from the letter box. The hotel sent the message and email to me to teach me how to get the key by myself. It's like a treasure hunt game. It is funny for me. Wait, I'm not complaining about the hotel, actually the staff is nice and friendly when you have problems. They answered my phone call and settled my problem in a short time.

The room facilities are really outdated. Two years ago, I stayed in Penang for a long time and had a very good impression of this place. I didn't expect the facilities to be so old after just two years. All the bedding, including the sofa, had a strong smell of sweat and body odor, and so did the pillows. Sleeping at night felt like being in a giant's armpit. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell, and the shower drain was extremely slow, causing a flood every time I showered. I'm glad I only stayed two nights. I'm so disappointed; this stay completely wiped out all the good impressions I had of The Only Bnb. The familiar Chinese female receptionist from two years ago seems to have left. This time it was a Chinese gentleman, who was also very good and easy to communicate with 👍

The mattresses are a sunken-in, meaning it needs to be replaced with new ones. . Not good for the backbone. Furthermore it was noisy upstairs (above floor) even though it’s past 1.00am.

The location is good. Near the Feringhi, Komtar, Bukit Bendera. The most important is to taste the real nasi kandar. Rooms is ver clean with the perfect facilities provided ie. Washing machine and dryier, cooking facilities and the best is swimming pool is near to my room.

Some of the lifts are out of order some time forcing us to wait up to 40mins during peak hours just to get on an elevator. The unit is spacious and is equipped with a washing machine. Quite convenient but lacks detergent. This we had to buy or bring our own. There's hot shower but two of the lights inside the room do not work rendering the room very dark at night. The AC remote didn't work because the batteries are already dead. One unit of parking space was provided for us. The two beds are huge! Three kids could sleep comfortably on one of the beds.

The apartment is enormous and very tastefully decorated. The bonus is a bathtub and 3 toilets! The executive suite has a lovely big sofa which can seat at least 4 people at a time! There's a washing machine, clothes horse and separate area to dry your clothes. The kitchen area with a bar is a nice addition to the dining room table that seats 6. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. And there is even a proper oven and full sized fridge freezer. And two car park spaces which was needed for us. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly as we also got good sleep as it is quiet at night. And the extra treat was we stayed there to celebrate chap goh meh and this apartment is within walking distance to Straits Quay.
