Perfect accommodation for couples. Cost and romantic. Accommodation is well maintained and spotless. Staff very friendly and helpful. 5” drive to Lanarch castle. Free admission to the castle for Camp Estate customers. If possible book Room3 which has a fantastic view of Dunedin. Plenty of cosy areas in the cottage for lounging an relaxing. Only problem is it’s isolated and hence meals may be an issue. You also need your own transport to get there . One small issue during the stay was the room fireplace doesn’t work despite best efforts of the staff to rectify it. Highly recommended.

小妞兒This hotel is very close to the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere. There's also parking right outside the hotel entrance, which is great for travelers with cars. The rooms have a lovely artistic feel, and the outdoor spaces are also filled with an artistic atmosphere. I loved it!

Michael V.We were in the“Seabreaze“ apt, which was very clean and had the exact great views over the beach as described. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our breakfast. While it was cold outside, the heating inside kept us warm and cozy. Parking in the garage underneath, or right beside the building for a larger car. Important to mention the Italian restaurant just 100m away at the corner, which is our absolute favourite when coming to Dunedin! We highly recommend staying at the Esplanade Apartments and will book again in the future.

Overall, this accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax.
One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay.
Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

Guest UserThe hotel is located in the city center, only 5 minutes walk to the First Church and about 10 minutes to the train station. Parking is convenient and there are many places to eat. When checking in, there is no front desk and you have to call. The hotel is old but very clean. The elevator is too old and a bit scary. I bought bread for breakfast at the supermarket. There are bowls and basins.

Guest UserThe castle is very big and you can see the sea. It is a very good experience. You can choose your own buffet breakfast. I recommend the Lanark breakfast. Guests staying in the hotel can participate in the castle dinner. It is also great value for money. I will go there again if I have the chance.

The room was clean and spacious, and there was a large garden outside the window, which could be opened. The hotel is at the northernmost end of Danidine, with a beautiful environment and free parking, but a bit far from the city center, about 2km, need to drive out, we parked the car in the supermarket parking lot in the city center, free parking for 90 minutes.

I stayed at the Law Courts Hotel recently, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The building is very old and hasn’t had much renovation. The bathroom still has those separate hot and cold taps, which are inconvenient, and the carpet looked quite worn and not very clean—it definitely feels like the place could use some updating.
That said, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of Dunedin, so it’s super convenient for getting around. It’s also very affordable, which is a big plus if you’re on a budget. Just keep in mind that being so central means it can be noisy; Saturday night, in particular, was hard to sleep through with all the street noise.
Overall, if you’re after a budget-friendly place in a great location and don’t mind the quirks of an older hotel, it’s worth considering. But if you’re looking for something more modern and comfortable, you might want to look elsewhere.
