"I booked a superior room with bakcony for 1 day and through another company the same type of room for next 4 nights! The night shift receptionist was really rude and told me for the 1st day i booked a superior room with balcony but the other 4 not! He also told that i did not understand what i booked!!!!!! After circa 10 minutes of arguments i told him we will see what is wrong or right next day!!! Next day i just presented my booking and the day shift receptionist was soooo kind and he said that i can be in a room with bigger balcony !!! So the management has 1. To check all the web-partners and to give the same names of the room types 2. The room type description has to be in all papers of the booker 3. Some receptionists are really rude and terrorize the guests!!!!"

"Stayed 13 nights here and it’s like 2nd home to us. Excellent service specially housekeeping. Friendly staff always smile and offer help. Location very close to Lavender MRT station just below the hotel within minute you can reach there. Fare price shops, toast box and burger king also located near the hotel. Specially if anyone searching Indian food Mr K Prata also walking distance. Laundry service available at the 4th floor. You can collect coins from reception. Almost forgot about the pool. Huge pool available at the 4th floor and small gym as well. Very satisfied and highly recommended this place to anyone."

"We had a really pleasant stay! Although the room is small (as expected from similar hotels in Singapore), but everything is locate perfectly so that the room actually doesn’t feel cramped. The only challenging part is that everything is digital (check in & check out are done through the mobile app, even the room key is handled inside the app)."

"I had a great stay at Hotel 81 Premier Hollywood and would definitely stay again. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I arrived earlier than expected after a long journey, and Elvin gave me such a warm welcome and kindly allowed me to check into my room early, which I really appreciated. The room was exactly as pictured — compact, but with everything you needed. There was space to hang clothes, sit down comfortably, and the coffee facilities were a nice touch. Most importantly, the room was bright and very clean, so thank you to Liv Zhen for keeping everything spotless. Even though I only stayed for two nights, I still received fresh towels and coffee top-ups, which was an unexpected bonus and very much appreciated. The road the hotel is on looked a little unkept at first and initially put me off slightly, but after a short 2-minute walk you’re right in the middle of the hustle and bustle with loads of late-night food spots, convenience stores, drinks, and snack options nearby. While the hotel isn’t directly next to an MRT station, there are plenty of buses close by, making it really easy to get around Singapore and visit all the main attractions. It’s also only around a 20-minute taxi ride to the airport, which was very convenient. Overall, a really pleasant stay with excellent service and good value for Singapore."

"On the first night, due to a theft at the hotel I'd booked and no available beds, I asked the staff to recommend another hotel. I ended up staying at this 81 hotel. Later, when I took a shower, I discovered that both sides of the faucet were spraying water. The entire bathroom ceiling, mirror, door, and even the hanging towels were soaked during my shower. After showering, thankfully I had my own hairdryer to dry my hair. When I lay down on the pillow, my whole head felt itchy. I had to use my jacket as a cover to sleep on, and I didn't get a good night's rest. At 12 PM, when I was asked to check out, I explained my terrible experience from the night before. The manager, upon learning I needed to extend my stay due to lack of sleep, upgraded my room. I ended up staying for two nights. I felt that the room the male front desk staff gave me on the first night was extremely small and had faulty facilities, not to mention the dirty pillow. There might be an issue with the disinfection of bed linen or pillows in certain rooms. There are many 81 hotels nearby, and this is considered one of the better ones. However, considering what I paid, the experience would have been quite frustrating if I hadn't been upgraded to a better room with water purification facilities on the second day. Overall, my stay on the second day was acceptable. I recommend asking to see the room the front desk assigns you before checking in!"

"The hotel's location is decent, not far from Marina Bay Sands in the city center, and getting a taxi is very convenient. There's also a food street nearby with lots of Turkish and Arabic cuisine. The hotel breakfast is good; while not extensive, the variety is sufficient. The room was quite clean, but the space was incredibly small and the facilities were just average. A room of this caliber would cost around 200-300 RMB in China, yet it's 1500 here. Singapore's prices are really high, I guess."

"This is my second trip to Singapore. The first time, I stayed at Swisssôtel. This time, as a family of five, we wanted to try a different place and stayed here for two nights. I had requested connecting rooms in advance but was disappointed that it wasn't arranged. 1. The hotel's location is convenient, right next to Novena MRT station. The B3 level connects directly to the MRT, the adjacent mall, and plenty of shops and restaurants. 2. The rooms are quite spacious (we were given a double bed room and an accessible room). Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. The beds were just right – not too soft, not too firm – which is important for a good night's sleep. 3. The room amenities are complete, including a coffee machine and toiletries. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. The lobby is comfortable and has a water dispenser with both cold and hot water. The front desk provides fresh fruit daily, and the whole atmosphere is very friendly! 4. The 8th floor has a gym and a swimming pool. This trip, the main focus was for the kids to enjoy the water, and they had a great time splashing around here. All the kids were very happy. Our whole family found it to be excellent, and we look forward to coming back again!!"

"Had a great experience staying here, especially considering the affordable price in Singapore. The room was clean and the size was decent. There was enough space to open a cabin-size luggage, and I liked that it could be stored under the bed to save walking space. The only minor issue was that I noticed some ants around the table near the washroom and the ants climbed all around thru the wall where the floor we put our luggage. One of the Indian staff are very friendly. The hotel also provided extra bottles of water upon our request on the day we checked out. The hotel allows guests to store their luggage before check-in or after check-out, which was really helpful. There is youtube /netflix options for the TV in the hotel. The location is also quite convenient. It’s just a short walk to the bus station and MRT/metro station, making it easy to get around."

GGuest UserThe hotel was generally comfortable and clean, the front desk staff were very friendly, and the location was extremely convenient. Bugis MRT station is directly accessible from the mall to the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining very easy. You can also take the MRT directly from the airport. This time, I stayed on the 13th floor, and Ann Han, a Chinese lady who has lived in Singapore for twenty years, was our housekeeper. She was incredibly warm and had excellent service attitude, always proactively asking when would be a good time to clean and if there was anything needed for the room. Hotel guests also get a 30% discount at Luce restaurant downstairs. Compared to many hotels in Marina Bay, I would definitely choose this one again.

TTERRRY_Excellent! You can always count on established hotels. The room was spacious and the bedding was comfortable. They even set up a sofa bed and provided free bottled water. And Shangri-La's breakfast has always been the best out of all the hotels I've stayed at! Highly recommend.

DDiscovererWe stayed at this hotel in July 2026. From Changi Airport, we took the MRT. After clearing customs, you need to follow the signs for 'Train to city' or 'MRT'. On the way, buy an Ez-link card at one of the tourist kiosks. We were offered an unlimited pass for $40, but we declined and bought top-up cards for $10 each, valid for our transit period in Singapore. From Singapore Airport to the city center, you first need to travel two stops to Tanah Merah station, alight at platform B, and then board a train marked 'to city' from the same platform. This is on the Green Line. Get off at Raffles Place station. Then, go up the stairs or take the elevator, and once upstairs, look for Exit D or E. Exit D is closer and more convenient for the hotel, but it goes through a shopping mall which might be closed in the evenings or on weekends. From either exit, turn right and walk along the main road without turning off. The main entrance of the building where the hotel is located leads to the CapitaSpring business center. You don't need to enter there; instead, walk a few meters past the main entrance on the right side, towards the taxi stand, where you'll find the hotel entrance. From there, you need to go up to the 9th floor, where the reception is. The hotel has three elevators: one for the reception from the 1st to the 9th floor, which is accessible to everyone. The second elevator goes from the 9th to the 17th floor and can only be used with a room key card. This elevator leads to the guest rooms. The third elevator is on the 17th floor in the garden and leads to the 51st floor observation deck, which is only open on weekdays until 6 PM. Water dispensers are located opposite the elevators on each floor. To use the elevator to the rooms, you need to tap your key card and select your floor on the panel; the panel will then indicate which of the three elevators (by a letter designation) will arrive. The staff were polite. There was no deposit required upon check-in, but they asked for a credit card number for registration. The rooms are clean, cozy, and have a good view. The renovation is fresh. The curtains are practically blackout, providing excellent darkening. However, there's a green sensor light on the ceiling in the room's hallway that seems quite bright at night, like a nightlight. This didn't bother us, but if you want to sleep in complete darkness, you won't be able to without a sleep mask. The soundproofing in the rooms is good; we couldn't hear our neighbors. The room has everything necessary, including a refrigerator, an ironing board, and an iron. There's also a safe, a capsule coffee machine, tea and coffee making facilities, and even soft hangers in the wardrobe. The pillows felt uncomfortable to me, but that's probably the only drawback. The room was cleaned daily; trash was emptied, and towels were changed. The Wi-Fi was good. Overall, we liked the hotel, including its central location.

AAmira RosMy stay at Mandai Rainforest Resort Treehouse was such a wonderful and peaceful experience. Staying surrounded by nature while still having the comfort and amenities of a resort made it feel like a true escape from the city. The Treehouse & Ambience The treehouse was beautiful, cosy and thoughtfully designed. Waking up surrounded by greenery and nature was definitely one of the highlights of the stay. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy some quiet time. Food The food was genuinely good, and I really enjoyed the dining experience during my stay. Everything was well presented and satisfying, making it easy to just stay in and enjoy the resort without needing to head out. Sunset & Sunrise Views The views were absolutely beautiful. Watching the sunset in the evening and sunrise in the morning from the resort was a memorable experience. The changing colours of the sky against the surrounding greenery made the stay feel extra special. Amenities The resort had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were well maintained, and I loved that the experience allowed me to enjoy nature without giving up comfort. Service The service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful throughout my stay. They made the experience feel welcoming and comfortable from check-in to check-out. Overall, Mandai Rainforest Resort Treehouse is a beautiful getaway for anyone looking to disconnect, relax and reconnect with nature. Between the cosy treehouse, good food, beautiful sunrise and sunset views, great amenities and warm service, it was definitely a stay worth experiencing. Would absolutely love to come back again.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel offers incredible value for money! It's conveniently located right next to a police station, Fort Canning Park, a famous Bak Kut Teh restaurant, and a church. There's also a shopping mall downstairs, making dining super easy. The room was very clean, simple, and bright. While not huge, it was perfectly sufficient for two people traveling. We didn't get to fully explore Fort Canning Park downstairs due to the summer heat, but it's a large park with lush trees and a beautiful design, definitely worth a visit.

GGuest User1. The location is super convenient, just a 3-5 minute walk from City Hall MRT station. It's very close to attractions like Gardens by the Bay (if you're up for a walk, it's about 2.8km, which felt manageable when I walked back to the hotel from the Flower Dome with my kids at night). 2. The hotel facilities are simple, clean, and fresh, with no unpleasant odors. Most importantly, it's very quiet, which is great for a light sleeper like me. 3. The front desk service was excellent. They could communicate in Chinese and even allowed me to check in early; I arrived at 11 AM and was able to check in right away. 4. Kids under 6 eat breakfast for free, making it very family-friendly. 5. There's a pool with both shallow and deep sections, perfect for young children to play in. 6. Dining is very easy; just turn left out of the hotel and cross the street to Funan Mall, where you can find plenty of food options and an affordable supermarket to buy water cheaply.

TTrina ♡THIS HOTEL IS CYLINDRICAL BECAUSE THEY'VE CUT EVERY CORNER! I really wanted to like this hotel. The location is excellent and the pool and surrounding gardens are genuinely lovely. Unfortunately, what started out as a promising stay (from the photos) turned into one of the most unsettling hotel experiences I've ever had. On my second night, at around 10pm, I encountered two men entering the rooftop pool on the 3rd floor. They asked me to hold the door open as I was returning to my room next door after a moonlit swim because they were laden with several carrier bags. I thought they were staff. The following morning, around 8am, I returned for a sunrise swim and recognised the same two men. They appeared to have spent the night sleeping on the sun loungers. They were smoking and drinking - polishing off an entire bottle of whisky at around 10am. There was no staff presence and seemingly nobody had checked the pool area for approximately 12 hours. I didn't feel safe swimming and reported what I had found to reception. Rather than feeling reassured, I was interrogated by reception staff and told there was no manager on duty. Their reaction was remarkably casual - they seemed fairly nonplussed, simply saying, ”We'll send someone up.” What concerned me most is that the lifts are not guest-card activated, meaning anyone entering the bustling hotel lobby can gain access to all guest floors. My room was on the third floor, adjacent to the pool. I later asked reception about the men. ”Oh yes, they're gone now.” No apparent apology, concern or urgency and still no manager available. When I left the following day, I specifically asked to speak to a manager and, once again, there was nobody on duty. Unfortunately, lax security and two unidentified men bedding down for the night at the pool wasn't the only problem. The thin mattress was so old and worn that the coiled springs were digging into my back, hips and elbows. The bedding was a scratchy brown blanket rather than a proper duvet. An enormous construction site next door started work at exactly 8am every day. The pool itself has seen better days. The sun loungers were worn, tired, smelly and in need of replacement. Even the blue pool slide advertised by the hotel was bone dry and completely out of use. There was no drinking water provided. When I asked for a bottle for the first night, I was told no. When I asked about a filtered water tap, I was told no - I could boil the kettle, drink the bathroom water or go to 7-Eleven. Their lackadaisical response was borderline laughable! One final warning for non-smokers: cigarette smoke is a significant issue. The Level 2 corridors are thick with smoke which permeates the hotel. If you are sensitive to smoke, I recommend requesting Level 3 or above, which benefits from an open atrium allowing air to circulate. Smoking around the pool was also constant during my stay. The Wi-Fi was patchy and there was absolutely no Wi-Fi around the pool. The irony is that the hotel has a beautiful rooftop pool and an excellent location. I gave both 5/5 because they genuinely deserve it. But I gave the service 1/5 because the lack of security, staff presence and management response left me deeply uncomfortable as a solo traveller. There wasn't a single corner of this hotel where I didn't feel like something had been cut back and, by the end, I couldn't help wondering whether I'd inadvertently booked myself into a budget youth hostel rather than a 3.5-star hotel, as advertised. What makes this all such a shame is the hotel's potential. With its riverside views, excellent location, beautiful rooftop pool and gardens, this could be an exquisite venue with a complete refurbishment and, crucially, the right management team. The bones are there - it just desperately needs care, investment and proper management. Beautiful location. Lovely pool. Enormous potential. Very uncomfortable stay.
