"A bit disappointed that there was no daily complimentary water especially for a hotel of this rating and price. When we asked about it, we were told we could buy water at the bar. Baggage storage was good. Check in is too late (after 3:00pm), and check out is before 10:00am (not even close to a 20 hour stay). Not worth the price we paid for these hours. Most global hotels have check out at 12.00pm and you could request a late check out. Our flight was at 8:00pm. Beds too narrow and also the gap between beds and wall / big screen TV is too narrow"

"Excellent hotel. Great location, with the embankment and a Spar supermarket within walking distance. It's a quiet area with secure parking. The room was comfortable and had everything needed for a stay. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers good breakfasts, and the cuisine overall is excellent; we tried many things from the menu, and everything was delicious. The hotel might not be brand new, but that doesn't detract from it; if anything, it adds to its charm."

"Overall, it's a decent hotel. My room didn't have an iron or a closet. There's no microwave available for use. It's perfectly fine for a 1-2 day stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer. Housekeeping was daily, which was great 👍🏻. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety."

"The Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town. We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay. We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later. The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this. Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town."

"The breakfast, freshly prepared in the kitchen, was okay, though a bit salty, and the buffet had limited variety. The room was clean, but the sockets were South African standard, requiring adapters. The lighting consisted of two spotlights and a hidden ambient light in the ceiling, with no sleep mode. It was confusing to see that some rooms of the same type had washing machines and some didn't. Overall, the price was a bit high."

"В восторге от отеля! - другими словами и не скажешь. Очень комфортный и большой номер с видом на океан, кухня с продуктами, всё очень удобно. Расположен через дорогу от пляжа. Милые девушки на ресепшн - помогли вызвать такси, а так как у меня не было наличных, только карта, то помогли провести платеж через отель. А потом ещё и донесли мой чемодан до такси и погрузили его, таксист даже из машины не вышел. Не ожидала такого от убера в ЮАР... Видимо там так принято."

"The facility itself truly lives up to its 5-star standard, beautiful, well-maintained, and luxurious lives up to the standard of the Radisson hotel brand which is my go to hotel when traveling the service unfortunately did not match. From the moment I arrived, I noticed a lack of basic hospitality from most of the staff. Simple gestures like greeting guests or offering assistance seemed to be overlooked, which was quite disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. That said, I would like to acknowledge the one staff member who checked me in, he was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. His service was the only moment that reflected the level of excellence one would expect here. Overall, the hotel has incredible potential, but the guest experience is significantly let down by inconsistent and, at times, indifferent service. I hope management addresses this, as the property itself deserves better representation."

"The hotel was under renovation previously when my wife and I stayed there from 16-17 Sept. It’s a simple lodge with not much facilities but the staff were super helpful! Thank you for everything!"

"We had a wonderful stay at The Rockefeller Hotel in Cape Town. The location is superb, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and enjoy local dining options. The door staff were a highlight of my visit—extremely professional and friendly, they greeted everyone with genuine warmth and were always ready to assist. Overall, I highly recommend The Rockefeller Hotel for anyone looking for comfort and convenience in Cape Town. If you're local however, the hotel and related amenities may be a bit on the expensive side."
