Pros Not too bad a location, can get a little uncomfortable at night for solo travellers while heading back as there are few people loitering around. Smart rooms, control panel control the lights and the signs for the door. Compact room but it's cosy for one. Cons (scary encounter) Someone rang my doorbell and tried to force open the room door in the middle of the night. Luckily i locked it from the inside and door couldn't be opened. It happened twice within the same night. There was no room phone so i had to call the hotel from my own mobile, and feeling puzzled, 2 staff came up to my room to clarify. They then told me a drunk 'guest' was 'assisted' to come up the hotel rooms, but she had actually went to the wrong hotel. Weird explanation, because firstly, a room key is needed to access the lift. Secondly, if the person who assisted the drunk guest is a hotel staff who owns a master key since he's able to access the lift, he should've verify her identity prior to allowing the guest up the rooms premises. Its a safety concern. What if I did not lock the room door from the inside? The drunk guest could have just barged in and i as a female, was staying alone. Lastly, there was no kettle, only 2 bottles of water.

Perfect place to stay one night but not more. The room is well designed with useful features but as I mentioned it's very claustrophobic and for a long time can be depressing.

Had a great stay. Very clean and well located. Situated in and around some great Indian Restaurants and close to Spittlefields market. Very close to Liverpool st station and underground only a 10 min walk.

This was my second time at a Premier Inn Hub, but my first at this hotel. From start to finish the team were really friendly and helpful, they also helped me when I needed first aid. Breakfast was a good choice and easy. My room was comfortable and clean. Having the WiFi was handy. The location was perfect for my trip, a short walk from Aldgate, Liverpool St and Shoreditch.

This is our 3rd or 4th stay are we are really happy with the hotel every time. It’s in a very cool location, with excellent links to the tube. Service is very friendly and staff go out of their way to make sure all is well. The rooms are very small (it is a ‘hub’), but they are perfectly formed. Everything you’d need and very clean and comfortable. The station to make your own tea and coffee at reception is a nice touch and you can take it out in the takeaway cups. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay. Small rooms, but ideal for single travellers and everything you need.. Excellent continental breakfast from 6.30am. Friendly staff. 10 minute walk to Aldgate East underground station. Lots of great Indian restaurants close to the hotel. Staff offer discounts and free drinks to get you to eat at their restaurants. The only downside was we didn't have hot showers for our 3 night stay. Tepid water was as good as it got.

Clean, comfortable, warm, friendly and a superb location - a lively, interesting and diverse neighbourhood with a lot of things to do and EAT! Did I mention it's well-served by public transport when you need to go further afield. What's not to love?

The water pressure is non existent and the hottest you get is mildly warm. Additionally there is nowhere to hang your towels and the walls are frosted glass so it’s really not suitable to share with someone. The room was decent with lots of storage space but overall would only recommend for a one night stay alone
