"The staff is nice"

"Booked a partial Nile view room for 3 nights during the off-season. Given that hotels in Luxor seem to be quite expensive, I don't think this one offers good value for money. The room was very old and the pool wasn't great. Breakfast was also pretty standard, nothing special by my standards. The location is good, though; in fact, I chose this hotel primarily for its location."

"This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Egypt, even though it wasn't the most expensive. The rooms are huge and spacious, and they even come with a balcony overlooking the Nile River. All the toiletries you could need are provided, and it's conveniently located for getting around. The hotel has clearly put a lot of effort into its decor, with many ancient Egyptian paintings. "This hotel is absolutely stunning; the photos don't do it justice. The lawn is dotted with meticulously trimmed African-style trees, and at night, you can stargaze. The temperature is pleasant, and there are hardly any mosquitoes; each room even has a mosquito repellent lamp outside. There's a wonderful sense of tranquil spaciousness. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, offering great value for money. Right next to the Nile River, you can see the Valley of the Kings on the opposite bank, and the infinity pool by the Nile is absolutely breathtaking! We didn't book all-inclusive, so breakfast wasn't included, and dining out was a bit inconvenient. Getting a taxi in Luxor is a real hassle, so we often went hungry in the mornings. I'd recommend buying some food the day before or booking breakfast. However, on one occasion, we were stopped and checked for outside food when entering the hotel, which I didn't quite understand or appreciate. Most of the staff were friendly, and they didn't fuss about our late check-out on the last day. We only had one slightly negative experience: we tried to book the hotel's felucca, and the staff told us to come back at 6:10 PM to see if it could sail, or switch to an electric boat if not. When we went to the front desk after 6 PM, there was a different person who told us we had missed the window, as felucca bookings were from 6 PM to 7 PM, and if we missed it, we'd have to book for the next day. I found this confusing and felt like they were passing the buck and unwilling to help."

"We're budget travelers, so I was really happy with this hotel – it was affordable, and the room was perfectly fine for an overnight stay. The service was good, the front desk was very accommodating, and the rooftop view was absolutely stunning."

"Really enjoyed my stay here. Good aesthetics to this hotel...plenty of areas, restaurants and facilities like the pool and rooftop bar. The pool table is an extra 200egp per hour. The spa area was closed. The overall location of the hotel was unpleasant, with constant badgering from local sellers."

Also, the hotel is a bit old, so the facilities and cleanliness are just average, but it's still livable. The balcony opens up to a pool view facing the Nile River, and that alone makes it worth it."

"The front desk was a major problem. Despite being a Ctrip member, which should allow for a 4-hour early check-in, the hotel insisted their check-in time was 3 PM, making it seem like I was asking for a huge favor by trying to check in early. Ctrip had left a note on the reservation for the hotel, but it was as if they never received it, as no preparations or notes were made. I was ready to check in around 12:50 PM, but had to wait for about half an hour before finally getting my room. Meanwhile, the Ctrip customer service couldn't even reach the front desk. The hotel's excuse was that the room wasn't ready due to cleaning, yet when I pulled back the duvet, I found a black hair and yellow stains. To top it off, there was no bottled water in the room when I entered (I only realized this a few hours later when I wanted a drink). Throughout this, Ctrip's customer service was incredibly helpful, constantly and actively trying to contact the hotel to resolve the issues. The restaurant staff were polite and welcoming, though the food wasn't to my taste. Apart from the front desk, the concierge team was very polite. The hotel's location is indeed good; you can see hot air balloons from your room right after waking up. However, neighboring hotels offer the same view, so I wouldn't recommend booking specifically for that. Especially if you don't speak English, as Ctrip might have trouble contacting the hotel if any problems arise. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated."
