What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant.  I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. NE RESERVEZ PAS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS- This hotel must be avoided at all costs!!!!! Do not trust positive ratings, they cannot be trusted and have been paid for. Evitez cet hotel a tout prix!!!! Ne croyez pas les avis postifs, achetes a moindre cout par cet hotel. Ditry bedsheets provided everyday, stained towels everyday, broken plugs in the bathrooms (!!!!), no AC, very small pool, broken shower heads, a very aggressive manager. We left before the end of our stay to a different hotel. This place is not safe! Draps sales, literie douteuse, piscine trop petite, equipements a l'abandon, un manager aggressif, prises murales exposees dans les salle de bains!!, draps dechires, Nous avons exige un remboursement de nos frais. Nous avons quittes l'hotel avant la fin de notre sejour. Nous n'etions pas en securite!

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

Superb hotel Well located and very well frequented. Spacious room, impeccable cleanliness, comfortable bedding. A welcome that makes you feel at home, very kind and helpful staff. A thought for Kenza at reception who was really adorable and attentive to the slightest request. Very popular rooftop swimming pool. I will go back with my eyes closed

We stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. The location is great, everything is nice and neat without going into luxury (which is to be expected for the price point), the staff is also super helpful plus the included breakfast is a nice touch (during my stay it was coffee/tea/orange juice with bread/pancakes and honey/jam/butter) - together with the tours that you can book directly (I also had a great experience with the driver and the guide) makes it so you have few things to worry about during your stay. The bathroom set-up is also clean and well put together which is a huge plus. Loved the terraces as well. Absolutely recommended.

One of the best place to stay in medina. Nice and stylish, clean rooms, simple breakfast. Location also good enough, because its not that far to walk by medina from taxi (another riads can be so far and it's not comfortable to find it, especially when you have a lot of clothes). One more thing - they are really equipped with everything you need in rooms - fridge, smart-TV, hairdryer, even in single rooms. Not every riad can have it, especially with this price. Friendly and very helpful staff. Especially grateful to Hassan, he helped me with my one thousand questions 😅 So, I can recommend this place. I stayed in few riads in different points of medina, and it was most comfortable place.

Absolutely beautiful Riad with the most amazing, attentive staff. From the initial booking of the Riad the staff were so helpful. Ishmail booked us a taxi from the airport and made us feel so welcome when we arrived giving us a tour of the Riad then offering us a mint tea and cookies on the terrace (with a beautiful rooftop pool with complementary towels). Ishmail then provided us with maps and showed us directions to the must see places - saadian tombs (few minutes walk) and the medina and souk are all within a short walk from the Riad. The interior design of the hotel is simply beautiful. The bedrooms are so relaxing and peaceful. We had a wonderful nights sleep and felt so welcome and looked after. We had a hammam at the riad (staff were again amazing). The breakfast (included) was delicious (fruit, yoghurt, juices, pancakes, bread, omelette, jams) and the menu served on the terrace was delicious. Thank you to Ishmail, Bashir, Mustapha, the hammam ladies and all the staff who made us so welcome at this beautiful Riad. We can't wait to come back again. ❤️ amazing ❤️

We spent wonderful days in Caravanserai with the Rotary Club with 28 people. The rooms are generous and individual and carefully maintained. The accommodation is very quietly located. The right place to tank. The atmosphere is simply charming with the beautiful lighting. The dinner was served at the pool or tent in the desired garden. The food was very tasty and fine. The staff is very friendly, attentive and premature. Chapeau for Philippe. He is an organizational talent. We're happy to come back as a couple or with a group or for a special celebration. I’ve had the best time here! The entertainment team are so fun but not too pushy if you don’t feel like getting involved one day. The food was brilliant, and had a lot of choice. Bar staff- amazing and all staff were always willing to help. The cocktails are included in the all-inclusive and they were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. I would definitely come back. We traveled as a couple but have seen a lot for the kids to do also. Hicham, the barman, Hassan, entertainment and Wahiba, entertainment were brilliant. Really lovely people and this hotel is a really lovely place to visit.
