Rydges Hotels in Melbourne

We just got back from an amazing 5-night stay at Rydges Ringwood with our group of 8 rooms, and honestly, it was brilliant, everything went so smoothly. Tonya from the team was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was super responsive, genuinely helpful, and really went the extra mile to make sure we had exactly what we needed. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, the location is perfect, and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much to Tonya and the whole team. 🙌

Pros: 1. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the CBD. Chinatown is right downstairs, surrounded by tons of restaurants and coffee shops. You can easily walk to all the major shopping districts. 2. We booked a suite with two queen beds, which was perfect for a family with kids. The small living room, though not huge, was great for the three of us to snack and watch TV together. 3. They offer free luggage storage after check-out. 4. There's a heated pool upstairs, but unfortunately, I didn't bring a swimsuit. Cons: 1. The breakfast selection was limited, just enough to get by. 2. The pillows were far too high, making my neck quite uncomfortable.

Although the hotel is reportedly over 20 years old, it's incredibly well-maintained, showcasing a classic 'old money' style. Breakfast is semi-buffet with an à la carte option, costing 30 AUD per person. When booking, compare the price difference between rooms with and without breakfast before deciding. The biggest highlight is being able to share the space with wild kangaroos; you can spot them right from your room's balcony, and even get close to them by walking downstairs.
