Mountain View Hotels in Dalian

Location Advantages: Very close to Xinghai Square and the cross-sea bridge. There are two supermarkets downstairs, making it very convenient to buy whatever you need. Transportation: Very close to the subway station. When I was researching, I was worried that Dalian wouldn't have shared bikes, but taxis are incredibly cheap there, so I don't have to ride a bike anymore! Environment and Cleanliness: The room was very clean! The photos and pictures provided by the hotel are almost identical! Front Desk Customer Service: Professional, friendly, and responsive. They even upgraded us to a sea-view room, which felt very lucky.

I’ve lost count of how many times I've visited Dalian, but this is my first time in the Development Zone, and it might just become my favorite spot in Dalian. It has mountains and sea, great food and entertainment. It’s been years since I’ve seen a place so vibrant and full of energy. I'd give the hotel a 90/100. Perhaps the Marriott Fairfield Inn's customer profiling perfectly matched my needs – everything I needed was there, and none of the unnecessary frills. The room wasn't huge, but perfectly adequate. The TV supports screen mirroring, there's a computer and printer on the first floor, and breakfast was simple but complete – the eggs were so fresh they didn't even have an air cell (every day!). The laundry room was handy, and the gym was well-maintained. Initially, I worried about noise from the light rail downstairs, but it wasn't an issue at all. The soundproofing is even better than some similarly priced hotels; in two days, I only heard muffled voices from next door once. Compared to certain other brands (*cough* MoDu, Ji hotels *cough*), it's like they're practically whispering in your ear. There are tons of great restaurants near the hotel, and it's super convenient to get to the beach and Daheishan. I'm pretty sure I'll be staying here again on my next visit. Minor drawbacks: 1. I smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway a few times. If guests are allowed to smoke in their rooms, perhaps the public areas need more prompt smoke removal. 2. The gym equipment could use a wider variety of handle types. 3. Could the soy milk please be sugar-free by default?

I originally booked this hotel because it was right on the coast the views were stunning but i didn’t see till too late that I had accidentally chosen a room without windows I asked for an upgrade which wasn’t available on the first night but the room was clean and adequate for a night. The next day they very kindly upgraded me to a mountain view room for free which was much better. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside to this place is that it is quite far from downtown and most attractions but it is right next to the beach so that was nice.

Facilities: It is a new hotel, the facilities are very new, the corridors have some taste, the elevators are a bit slow, and they are shared with Hanting. Hygienic: Very clean, that is, I don’t know why there will be a toilet smell in the middle of the night. I told the front desk that the toilet was deeply cleaned. The toilet did not smell on the second night, but there was still a smell in the room until midnight. I got up and opened the window for ventilation. Environment: The surrounding environment is good, very close to Xinghai Square Service: Great, there is feedback to deal with, although the smell is not completely solved, but it is indeed dealt with! Cost-effective: very high, compared to many hotels, this price is very high Transportation: Convenient, near the subway station Maybe I am more picky, breakfast is more general for me, but this varies from person to person!

Our child's high school entrance exam was near the hotel. When we checked in, I mentioned to front desk staff member Xiao Li that we had one exam taker and two escorts. She immediately offered an extra breakfast and arranged for housekeeping to send an extra pair of slippers to our room. Many thanks to Xiao Li for her thoughtful service. As soon as we exited the elevator, we saw red indicator stickers, and when we arrived at our room door, the staff had already placed the slippers for our child inside. That evening, when we brought our child back, we were pleasantly surprised to find a personalized blessing message and a red origami 'Zhuangyuan' (top scholar) hat taped to our door. With these blessings, our child successfully completed the two-and-a-half-day exam. It was a wonderful stay.

This hotel is quite nice. It's close to Xinghai Park and other attractions, and there are subway and bus stops nearby. The food is also pretty good. Importantly, they provide disposable towels and bath towels, which is a nice touch. The mattresses are comfortable, with just the right firmness, and the facilities are very convenient. There's a washing machine in the room, and they'll promptly deliver laundry detergent if you run out. There's a Lawson convenience store and a Luckin Coffee shop in the lobby. Overall, it's a great hotel.

Now that my trip is over, I still want to review my stay. I chose this hotel because it was already in my favorites when I decided to visit Dalian. I picked it primarily for the scenic views, and indeed, the hotel's location and the room's view were quite good, and the staff service was okay. However, there were a few aspects that were rather mediocre. Firstly, the mattress and pillows. After a five-hour drive, I didn't get that comfortable, refreshing feeling when I lay down. The mattress even felt like it had a springy texture. For someone like us, who just wanted to relax at the hotel and explore a bit, this significantly impacted our travel experience. We stayed for four consecutive days, and every day felt like an endurance test; I even considered switching hotels for the last two days. Secondly, the shower. The overhead shower didn't work, so my 6'3” partner had to use the handheld showerhead, which was quite low, even for me. More importantly, the water temperature was unstable; for all four days, it kept fluctuating between hot and cold. Since showering isn't exactly the time to call for assistance, I just had to bear with it, dodging the water when it got too hot or too cold. Thirdly, breakfast and meals. Given the hotel's somewhat secluded location, I suggest they improve their dining options. On our first day, we had planned to enjoy a nice dinner, but there really weren't many choices. Also, for a resort hotel, breakfast ending at 9 AM is far too early. Even budget hotels like Hanting and Atour now serve until 10:30 or 11 AM. There were also some minor issues, like running out of complimentary water in the room. When we asked for more, the water provided wasn't the same brand as the original. Honestly, how much cost can they save by doing that? But it certainly detracts from the guest experience. I had initially hoped to make this hotel my go-to choice for future Dalian vacations, especially since it has its own small beach. I hope the owner collects guest feedback and focuses on optimizing the actual experience, especially considering the price point. This stay was definitely not as comfortable as the two days we spent in Shanhaiguan.

Overall, the room by the sea offered a fantastic view. The room itself was also very clean and beautiful. It was incredibly therapeutic just to relax in the room and gaze at the scenery. However, it's important to note that there are no shops or amenities around the guesthouse. Breakfast starts late, at 8:30 AM, and there are restricted entry/exit hours during the early morning and late at night.

Very convenient place to stay. The staff is very kind and welcoming. I recommend this place for those who want to come to visit the city.

The hotel on the golf course feels that it is mainly prepared for guests who come to play golf overnight. It is written as a five-star, but the facilities are actually a bit old. Facing the side of the course, the view is invincible, it is worth a trip for one night alone. The price is also very reasonable. The manager is very enthusiastic. Breakfast is a set meal, relatively simple and tastes good. The room is large, with a balcony and a bathtub. There is free bottled water, because it is a small bottle, so four bottles were given. Later, two bottles were sent. Insufficient: 1. The hot water flow in the shower is too small and the water temperature is low. The traffic below is a bit noisy in the morning.
