"The location was a little hard to find, and it was a little difficult to carry luggage up the hills and stairs, but we enjoyed the shops and the nice atmosphere along the way! There is no bath, but there is a hot spring nearby. I didn't like the fact that the toilet was shared, but the breakfast was delicious, so I have no complaints!"

Amazing
GGigidianqianGosho-bo is conveniently located right next to an orange souvenir shop, a common stop on the way from Kyoto to Arima. Upon check-in, guests are asked to change into slippers for use throughout the ryokan. The luggage service is excellent; they bring your bags to your room upon arrival and down to the lobby after check-out, saving you the effort of carrying them up or down stairs. Both breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious. The restaurant boasts a charmingly retro atmosphere, with a vintage feel that is impeccably maintained. The public Kinsen (Golden Spring) bath was wonderful. It's a semi-mixed bath, and my skin felt incredibly smooth after soaking. However, a family member who was with me developed mild allergic reactions like peeling skin and red spots.

CChanTommyI really like this private onsen hotel. It has both indoor and outdoor baths, featuring Arima's famous 'Golden Spring' and 'Silver Spring' waters. You can reserve them for private use, 45 minutes each time, and soak twice a day, morning and evening. I could only book the room through Ctrip, but I emailed the hotel directly to add breakfast and dinner, and the staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel is halfway up a mountain, which was no problem since I was driving. They also offer a shuttle service to the station or city center, but you need to book it in advance.

SSajiroWe had an amazing stay at Arimasansoh Goshobessho! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel & rooms itself are incredibly comfy and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere and a delightful wood scent that adds to its charm.
The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations (very good French toast, and onion soup) such a great way to start the day!
A special thank-you to the hotel staff for their kindness and efficiency in returning the Apple Watch we accidentally left behind—it was much appreciated!
Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

GGuest UserThe front desk service is very good. The room is very good, the floor-to-ceiling corner window has a beautiful view outside the window, the room facilities are very new, the room facilities are very complete, the room coffee and the refrigerator are very rich, the drinks are full, very considerate. The shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are all Bulgari, the experience is very good. They also thoughtfully prepared men's and women's skin care travel packs, which is very attentive. I would like to especially praise the staff of Hiroko-san who has been serving us since we received them during our stay. They are very enthusiastic, very attentive and very nice. The experience brought to us during our stay was very comfortable and very good. I look forward to meeting Hiroko-san again next time I stay.

Great
GGuest UserLocated in the famous Arima Onsen, this ryokan stands out as it boasts its own hot spring source, which is a major draw. The rooms are more spacious and comfortable than other ryokans in a similar price range. Guests can enjoy two private onsen baths for free, both offering beautiful views. The quality of the Kaiseki dinner was exceptional.

GGuest UserThe room was slightly different from the pictures, but it didn't affect our stay. The surroundings were truly beautiful, especially the colorful autumn mountain scenery right next to the hotel. The facilities were a bit old but still clean and hygienic. The older staff members were incredibly helpful; when we requested water delivery around 6 AM, it was brought to our room immediately. However, the younger staff seemed to lack a bit. We had luggage and told the front desk that we'd wait in the lobby for about ten minutes before taking the hotel's shuttle to the Hankyu bus station. We saw the shuttle arrive and leave twice, and we didn't have time to go out and stop it. It would have been great if a doorman could have held the car for us. This caused a delay of about 20 minutes. Luckily, we had plenty of time before our scheduled bus departure, otherwise, we would have been very anxious.

GGuest UserLike the quaint yet very elaborate ryokan style of living. The onsen may not be as big and fancy as in noboribetsu but it is still comfortable. I subscribed to their dinner and breakfast which was pretty good. I definitely live the wooden bathtub in my room. They have shuttle services to and from Arima Onsen region. The only complain I have is the weak wifi.

AAnonymous UserI booked this hotel mainly for the view, and it definitely delivered. The west-facing room looks directly out onto the Ferris wheel, making it feel like a living painting from the window. The small balcony was perfect for fresh air and enjoying the scenery.
The hotel is located within Meriken Park, offering a quiet escape while still being in the heart of Kobe. There's a free shuttle bus service to and from Sannomiya Station, and you can explore the park right outside the hotel. For shopping at Daimaru and other areas, it's about a 1 to 1.5 km walk through the park, or you can take the free shuttle bus for flexible travel.
As a long-standing landmark, the hotel has been around for years. While it has undergone renovations, the lobby and interior still retain a sense of history and age. The basic services and facilities are all fine, but nothing particularly stands out.
Considering its location and view, the weekday prices offer good value for money. However, weekend prices are a bit high, so staying during off-peak times would be more economical.
KKKOne word ”positive”. This Xiaoduli is the other garden of another hot spring hotel above. There are kaiseki dishes and fire dinner. In the evening, you have to go up for a minute to eat, so you must go to the 7/F public bathing hot spring to soak first, and then go to eat. You can book a family room (two of them) for 45 minutes per room per day. Before arriving, you can call to book a car to pick you up at the station, and the hotel will email you in advance. The two meals included are very rich, with delicious ingredients, including beef and fish. There is a self-service water bar in the middle lobby, with hot and cold green tea, coffee, etc. There is no toilet in the room, you have to use the public toilet, but it is very clean. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the hot spring street, where you can spend half a day.

Very Good
GGuest UserFirst off, this location is a bit out of the way, if you intend to stay close to the downtown...you have to take the ”Portliner” a few stops.
No issue for me, but did not realize this when I booked.
I chose it because of the onsen / sauna, and I was very satisfied: this was the best sauna / cold tub I had in Japan (so far).
Was hotter (and colder) than anything else. The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna > cold tub cycles more than anything.
Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. As expected.
Stay for a night if you are on the fence...use the onsen...have a coffee-milk afterwards. You'll feel great.
Rooftoop bar / restaurant was nice as well and very friendly staff!
