Mountain View Hotels in Ipoh

We had a truly enjoyable stay at The Cove Hillside in Ipoh. The unit is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for families or groups who want a relaxing getaway. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, offering a peaceful atmosphere that’s great for unwinding and spending quality time together. We also appreciate how well-maintained the facilities are, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the amenities provided throughout the stay. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and taken care of. Overall, it was a very pleasant and refreshing experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing stay in Ipoh.

The accommodation has insufficient power sockets. There is literally no power socket at all in one of the rooms, while the other room has only one socket, which is extremely inconvenient. The host also did not provide any check-in instructions until I requested them just one hour before check-in. I was informed that my car plate number had already been registered and was instructed to drive into the lane as shown in the video provided. However, upon arrival, the security guard rudely informed me that my car plate was not registered. Overall, the experience was disappointing and poorly managed. The lack of basic amenities, unclear check-in arrangements, and miscommunication regarding the parking access made the stay unnecessarily inconvenient.

The decoration inside the hotel is very beautiful and you can take a lot of photos inside. There are counter staff during the day and guards at night. The room service takes an environmentally friendly approach, and many items will not be replaced unless you ask for it. What was a little unusual was that most hotels would help make the bed, but this was not the case during my stay. After returning to the room, I was confused as to whether anyone had come in to clean it.

Pros: · Lobby is very beautiful and impressive · Hallway to the room is a bit dark, but the room itself is cozy and good for relaxing · Room gets cleaned every day, even though my room didn't have a ”clean room / DND” sign (a nice surprise) · Lift available, no need to carry luggage up stairs · Toothbrush provided Cons: · Lobby can get a bit smelly during raining Overall: A decent stay with good housekeeping effort and a cozy room. Just be aware of the dark hallway and occasional lobby smell on rainy days. Still worth considering for the price and comfort.

Excellent services, the owner is very kind to let us check in to hotel earlier, we could have a rest after few hours driving from KL. The living room, dining area and rooms are clean and aircon is cooling in all the rooms except for living hall. The kids enjoyed swimming in the infinity pool, great view and easy to access. The location is fantastic, convenient for us to move around in Ipoh and easy to find nice food and grocery.

Location and view is good as it facing the lost World. Got water filter is a plus point. The check in process is kind of complicated. Should state out clearly, as this condo arrmagemetn is slightly diff Then other condo. Usually need to use QR code scan in the guard house only can go to lobby to pick up the key. But this place is different. It is a separated area. Furthermore, I don’t know why the security guard outside the mailbox need to take again my info, like my ic/license, my tel no and etc.. It suppose using the QR code is sufficient. Parking actually got 2 not 1. If you have visitor coming in, owner will say park at G floor, but security actually don’t let visitors to park. Is very complicated and messy… They need to take our deposit by bank in to the owner. This is the first time I face this. And more than 24hours still not yet refund, after ask for twice only owner refund without send a simple message.

A great stay for my family. The unit is clean and spacious enough for us. 1 parking slot is provided and it is near the lobby. Check in was easy too. Owner was quick to response to my questions and requests. The kettle was malfunctioned and they give us another the next day despite it’s a weekend. My boy had so much fun at the playground and swimming pool. Will come again if there’s a chance.

The property is a newly built bungalow just beside a hill and a temple. there are plenty of local foods around within a few minutes of walking distance. the check in check out is very simple, and the host and caretaker are friendly. since it's slightly further out from the city, the air is fresh especially so because we are beside one of the big hills. One downside: at night, there will be a low pitch humming, which I presume is the pump running for the water tanks. it didn't bother me, but soundproofing could be improved for the rooms. there's enough parking at the property or beside it for about 6-7 cars, so no issues there.

I had a generally pleasant stay at this homestay. The unit was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby amenities. A special mention to the security guard downstairs, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low—so much so that it made showering quite difficult and uncomfortable. Additionally, for a two-bedroom unit, only one access card was provided. This was quite inconvenient, as the card is required not only to enter the unit but also to use the elevator, making it challenging for multiple guests to move around freely. Overall, while the stay was comfortable and enjoyable in many aspects, addressing these issues would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Clean and tidy. I don't expect more because I want to sleep last night. The receptionist is not very welcoming but overall okay.
