Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed one night at Bedrock Hotel Ipoh and had a very pleasant experience. The room was very nice and huge, with plenty of space and everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and quiet.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. The location is convenient for exploring Ipoh and the Old Town area.
The only small downside was the breakfast, which was just so-so. It was fine, but not the highlight of the stay.
Overall, everything else was perfect and we would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserWe stayed only a night with my family of 4. Overall, I am impressed with the Hotel as it is newly opened, clean and European concept. Reminded me of my stay in European hotels. Given that it is a hotel with sleeping beds only, the facilities are located nearby in the main hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Layout and design are good. Could be nice to have some basic amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste, at least. Shampoo and shower gel was available. However, the bathroom is a bit small, and any movement would make the partition sound, given the size of the bathroom (ie european style, lack of space, narrow).
On our day of checkout, the other guests were inconsiderate, as children were running along the room corridors in the morning, whilst we were still asleep. Also, due to the close proximity of the room and partition materials, any sound would make it loud. It was inconsiderate for the other guest to also talk so loudly in the morning at the nearby room. Maybe a sign to show to keep their volumes down would be helpful in future.
GGuest UserA definitely great stay in Ipoh. Check in and check out process was very easy, fast and convenient. Management team was very helpful and active considering my book was confirmed after 11.30 pm. This condo has private swimming pool and mini water park for residents. Suitable for those with kids to enjoy. I will consider this condo for my next stay.
GGuest UserFor the price, I think it is a reasonable option. However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the ”fix” was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the ”make my room” card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. They only cleaned 1. I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.
All in all, it was a decent stay. Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.
BBNNLOverall, everything was good, with only a few points to highlight.
I arrived in Ipoh at around 7:00 AM and requested an early check-in. Although rooms were already available, I was informed that there would be an additional charge of RM20 per hour for checking in a few hours earlier.
Regarding breakfast, due to the month of Ramadan, the offering was reduced to a semi-buffet based on occupancy levels. However, the full breakfast price was still charged despite the limited selection.
Lastly, there were no extra hangers available in the room, which was slightly inconvenient.
AAnonymous UserThe location is nearby the Cocubine Lane within 5 minutes walk。It has secure lock after midnight to come in the hotel so is safe. The room wall is just like the name bricks . It has very strong mouldy smell. Bed is not comfortable will sink when sleep. There is tV but no allow to ON it . no provide bottle water and also no provide slipper for bathroom,no toothbrush. The bathroom water no partition with toilet so have to becareful slippery after shower . Soundproof not that good .
GGuest UserI booked this hotel through Trip.com. It was an overrated hotel. Once we arrived in the hotel only we got to know that they will only change the bedsheets and pillow covers two days once. We did ask the staff and they told us that they have changed the bedspread just recently. I had no choice so we stayed there . The toilet was not very clean. The skybridge walk from the car park to the hotel was horrifying. Totally we were not satisfied. Not recommended at all.
AAndrei T. RusI chose this hotel because it was close to the train station, thinking it was downtown. Turns out, it's better to be closer to Chinatown. We stayed on the 3rd floor (which is actually the 4th floor). There's no elevator, so keep that in mind. The soundproofing was pretty bad; we were aware of all our neighbors' movements.
Overall, it's okay – a decent 'three-star' place, acceptable for a day.
Oh, I just remembered. According to the terms, check-in was supposed to be after 2 PM. Our room wasn't ready, and we waited an hour. Not ideal, but I can understand, these things happen. What surprised me more was that the hotel manager seemed to find my dissatisfaction strange, as if it were completely normal.
AAnonymous UserVery basic hotel for sleep & transit before another destination. Cleanliness level is basic with no changing of linen everyday. Shower area no partition & wet the whole toilet when shower.
