I can not say enough amazing things about the Stanford Park Hotel. We used this hotel for our wedding room block and they went above and beyond what was required of them. My guests felt extremely welcomed, the hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff is excellent. This is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion I would rate this as a 5 star hotel. Our guests could not stop raving about the Standford Park Hotel!

Hotel exceeded expectations overall. Some of the reviews on TA scared me but it seems like they might be for a different hotel or old hotel. Everything in this hotel felt new fresh and clean. Quick check in. Prior to stay called for info about the one bedroom suite with king since there's very little info and only one photo posted. Person who answered had never seen it and wasn't able to describe. Took a chance and was delighted. From what I've gathered it's similar to the VIP suite but doesn't have a balcony or windows that open. Also it said separate parlor but not sure what that actually means. There's a separate bedroom and living room and the living room includes a dining table with four chairs. The setup was great for my wife and I to work but when we both had meetings one of us had to go to the bedroom which doesn't have any kind of desk. Grocery store, starbucks, and Mendocino farms all quick walk in the same shopping center. Paid $15 a night self parking in the parking garage but seemed like I could've just parked for free on the street. Small pool with lounges and seating and large hot tub but no drinks/food offered at pool.

I have stayed one night twice in this location. First stay, the FOH was getting trained, focus was on checking me in the computer. Second visit, quick check in process, friendly staff, forgot to write my room number nor mention it to me, good thing I saw in app after parking. $18 on site parking either open next to hotel entrance, or in a gated covered lot. The room has a modern look with the vanity separating the bedroom and bathroom. The 1 king bed room has frosted walls/doors with no locks for the shower and toilet, not a fan of the frosted look because it does not look clean for me. The vanity had motion sensor lights on the bottom. The shower has both a shower head and has a rainfall shower system - pressure was both appropriate, strong for the shower head, moderate for the rainfall. Behind the vanity, facing the bed was a floor to almost the ceiling mirror - still don’t know how I feel about this haha. I do like the modern feel. The bed felt comfy. The room could be cleaner. There were some hair strands next to toilet and there were a couple under the duvet. There was a green stain on the water flush and a dried visible stain on the counter by the sink - we typically bring cleansing wipes to clean our room regardless but cleanliness definitely could be better. Great sized tv and desk available as a working space. Side note: it’s right next to 10 Butcher’s which is an upscale kbbq place pricey but yummy!👍

The hotel is newly opened so the hardware is very new and the price is cheap. The hotel has a small laundry room. The room is equipped with a sofa bed. Four people can stay there without any problems. The sound insulation is very good. Although the breakfast cannot be compared with that in China, it is good for this trip. There is no bottled water in the room. You can only get water from the restaurant and gym on the first floor. Parking for the night is $10, which is very cheap. It is recommended to park at the hotel. Overall very satisfied

This is the best hotel to stay in the whole of South Bay Area including Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto and San Jose. I have been so impressed with the service of all the employees and specifically Madison as she not only helped me at the front desk but I saw that she was prompt to answer my questions and provide appropriate response through the Hilton Honors App too. The Hilton brand experience is also amazing at this place and all the amenities are to the point like Parking, Restaurant, Fitness Centre etc.

EEnderYinThe facilities are very new and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was rich and the staff was very welcoming. They even packed hot eggs and bread for us before we had to fly on the last day. The surrounding communities are very safe, and the nearest commercial area is about 2.5 kilometers away. Overall, it's a good choice for business travel.

GGuest UserWe go to Palo Alto regularly for visits to Stanford and typically stay in one of the chain hotels. Thought we’d change it up and stay somewhere different. Dinah’s filled the bill! So cute! It’s an older hotel, but that just adds to the charm! We stayed in a deluxe garden room. The room was huge and had the most quaint little patio. It was so calming to hear the water outside and to see the koi and ducks. The room was clean and had all of the standard amenities. And, bonus, we were able to bring our dog! They even have a cute little dog park on the premises! We will definitely stay there again!

GGuest UserPros: (For this part, this hotel deserved a 5-star review) 1. Rohan the front desk manager was nice. He made me feel welcome. He acknowledged the Hilton gold member status right away and offered the perks without me asking. He offered $ 10 breakfast credit or additional reward points.Which I picked the breakfast credit. He also gave us an upgrade to a bigger room and waived the parking fee. 2. The room is really clean and everything in great order. For example, the bathtub held the temperature of water for a long time and the shower drains fast. The bed is firm, which I like a lot. The thermostat, the refrigerator, the TV, etc all in great condition. The edges of the bathroom walls or around the bathtub also looked very clean. 3. The gym, the swimming pool, and the hot tub are all well maintained.4. The location is really good. Close to all the places we need to go. 5. The room does not have any strange smell. Cons: (For this part, one star out of five was removed) 1. Billing system: Used the Hilton app to checkout on my mobile phone. The pdf of the receipt never arrive in my email. So I went to the front desk to ask for a printout of the receipt. That was when I found out that all the perks (waive parking fee, breakfast credit, etc) promised at check-in for gold member status were not honored and my credit card was charged. The front desk manager could not find the credits in the system until I mentioned Rohan's name. Then the credits were finally applied and I got a new receipt. So it is always a great idea to make sure you review the receipt before leaving the hotel to avoid surprises like that. 2. $12.95 continental breakfast per person is steep, considering what you get. There are just some cut fruits, pastries, and bagels, and Quaker instant oatmeal in the cup. I was expecting some eggs, pancakes or hash browns for that price. I don't recommend it unless you need the convenience of eating breakfast in the hotel and you are given the $10 credits. 3. Instructions about the facility are lacking: I could not find the pool hours and breakfast hours on the hotel website or in the app. I did not see any posted signs about the hours, either. Had to ask the front desk for information. 4. The blackout curtain in the bedroom cannot totally be pulled to the center to cover the entire window. It left a big gap (about 4 feet wide). got woken up by the bright light early. 5.$15 parking fee.

GGuest UserWhat a great experience! We had a fantastic, one night stay, at El Prado. Sara, told us, that she was putting us, in a beautiful, spacious, room. She was not kidding. We stayed in room 404, very quiet, super comfortable bed, and very spacious. Her coworker, at the front desk, told us our dinner reservation, at nearby, St. Michael, was a great choice, a wonderful restaurant. He was right. The El Prado, is a beautiful, quiet, centrally located hotel, with great staff, at the front desk! Thank you Sara, for the beautiful room!

GGuest UserFirst off, I'd like to give a shout-out to the night shift front desk person Tony. He was very courteous and thoughtful in helping me on my arrival day (12 midnight) and assisted with all my needs. Thank you Tony for your efforts! For the hotel in general, it seems the place is understaffed but I believe that is how other hotels operate nowadays post COVID. The location is great and is right in the middle of where I want to be north and south of Bay Area. Many rental car locations nearby so I was able to get to one within 10 mins radius. For the room, I stayed in the king bedroom pool side with patio. The bed was very comfortable and clean. However, the downside was that the connecting room doors were paper thin, and the gap between the door and the floor was more than an inch high, so I could pretty much hear every word the person was saying in the other room. They need to fix that or else guests really don't have any privacy at all. I apologize to the couple in the room next to me because I was on a call at 3am in the morning and didn't realize I had woken them up until they started talking and I knew how bad the sound isolation was. After that, whether it was day or night time, I had to resort to whispering all my conversations because I knew people could hear me in the other rooms.

GGuest UserI am currently at the Palo Alto Inn and really happy with the overall experience. The manager could accommodate some additional requests I had, the room is very big and receives almost no noise from the traffic. Cleanliness is great. The rooms are well equipped - fridge, microwave, tea+coffee machine, TV, safe, plenty of USB charger ports. There were some complimentary drinks and sweets as a nice bonus. The location is OK, you have to walk 15-20 minutes along the El Camino in either way to hit places with some choice of place to eat or do groceries from, but that's not terrible. If you are driving anyway, it does not matter. You can also take a bus. --- Martin

CCamper28476794159This is a basic motel with average rooms. The exterior is well maintained and clean The rooms furnishings are a bit worn, but it had everything we needed. Odd that the microwave is sitting on top of the small refrigerator on the floor? There were small dents in the walls, a couple holes in the curtains and carpets. No shampoo in the dispenser in the shower. We had our own with us so we didn’t bother the desk for a refill. We were here for a visit to Stanford medical so this met our needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is a mix of commercial and office buildings. A couple of restaurants a bit further away. Nothing but Carls Jr. close. We felt safe walking around. We will be back again as we have more work being done at Stanford. (20 minutes away)

GGuest UserTHE GOOD: The hotel was recently renovated, rooms are nicely renovated with beautiful bathrooms. A nice size fitness center and a small but nice pool area. THE BAD: Wifi was absolutely horrible, there was ZERO wi-fi service in the lobby, restaurant or pool area. The Wi-fit would connect for 2 - 3 seconds then drop. When I asked the attended at the café if I could use the Westin Meeting wi-fi I was told no, they don’t have the password. In my room every so often the wi-fi would drop and it would take 20 – 30 minutes to reconnect!!! Furthermore, the power outlet at the desk was dead, there was also no power near the bed to plug in your laptop! Sadly, the food and beverage offerings at this hotel are on par with a Holiday Inn Express. There is no full-service restaurant, just a grab and go café which serves mediocre food. There is a limited breakfast buffet in the morning with poor quality food. On both mornings of my stay the scrambled eggs were a rubbery mess, the breakfast potatoes lacked flavor. The only item that seemed decent to eat were the fresh berries and bread. The quality of the food from room service/grab and go was also upsetting. If you want a full-service dinning experience, you are told to walk over to the Sheraton…. really? BTW: I was told the hotel kitchen is also located at the Sheraton, food is not cooked onsite at the Westin. Hospitality at the hotel is hit and miss. The front desk seems pleasant, but staff were very hesitant to go the extra mile to please… they lacked the hospitality soft skills I have experienced at other hotels of the same caliber. Café staff is very unhelpful, not very friendly, I receive a far better guest experience at my local In-N-Out Burger. In the end if you are expecting an upscale hotel experience in the Palo Alto / Stanford area the Westin disappoints. For the price I would expect a memorable experience, one where you would hate to leave and could not wait to return. During my stay I was looking forward to leaving, I really felt like it was a waste of $$$ and time staying here. When I left, I felt like I had just stayed at a Holiday Inn express with upscale rooms. Hotel should be rebranded... it's not an upscale full service hotel that is about hospitality with a mindset of wellness.

GGuest UserThis is an old-fashioned motor inn in the heart of Palo Alto. It has pet friendly rooms for $30 extra, which is cheaper than other places we looked at. The room was small but sufficient, and was very clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows pretty flat.. The staff were friendly. The location was in walking distance to restaurants. There was no breakfast to speak of, just prepackaged pastries. If you have a dog, you have to walk a couple of blocks to get to some grass. All in all this was a great place to stay on our trip.
