Cliffside Guest House

This was the "best residential trip ever!" Staff and children thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in Cliffside. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the food was delicious. We were fed and watered absolutely seamlessly and I want to pass on my biggest thanks from our school, Harby Primary, to Gareth, who runs the guesthouse, and to his family and staff. We're going to miss our tasty roasts and cooked breakfasts. Highly recommended by 23 children and 4 adults. Hoping to stay again soon. Brilliant!

Definitely would not be staying here again! 5* review for the view of the bay but everything else was awful. Room was dusty and windows were dirty. Breakfast was OK but the older lady that was serving was rude and couldn't really be bothered engaging in conversation with us! Yet she would chat with the regulars! They advertised online they had a bar but when we got there it wasn't open due to the licence being taken off them! My daughter had an accident on the bed and I couldn't find anyone to tell them and the next day at breakfast she humiliated me by shouting at me just outside the dining room and told me she would be bulling me for the mattress - which I understood about but it was the way she spoke to me. My daughter was so upset that she refused to come down the next day for breakfast. They charged me £100 for a replacement mattress and didn't even give me a receipt! Yet I saw them bringing in a replacement mattress and it wasnt new it wasn't even in a wrapper so god knows what exactly they charged me for! Avoid this place at all costs if you have children.

Just got back from our regular Easter visit to the Cliffside, as usual the Gareth was on hand to welcome us and to cook our delicious breakfast every morning. We had our usual sea view room (Room 14) with it's comfy bed, and after 10 years of visiting The Cliffside it's just like being at home. Thanks Gareth for another enjoyable stay we hope to be back later in the year.
