There is such a cozy treasure homestay next to Napahai~ Lying on the balcony to watch the sunset on the grassland, strolling on the grassland after breakfast, the environment is elegant and unique, the design is simple and fashionable, I really love it~ The service is even better, the room can be plugged in to supply oxygen to the whole house, the breakfast is so rich, colorful, delicious and nutritious, and there is free goodnight sugar water~ The children like the two little rabbits in the yard very much and played for a long time~ It is definitely the finishing touch of the trip to Shangri-La~

The rooms are quite modern and clean, no problems at all there.
The location is a decent walk into the old town. Fine if you have a car, but there are probably better options if you're visiting the touristic locations.
The biggest annoyance was when I arrived on crutches having hurt my ankle a couple of days before they just watched my struggle with my bags.
After check-in, the small female receptionist did try to take my large bag, but couldn't lift. All while a larger male colleague just watched on.
Breakfast was alright, not great.
The worst overall mark of any of the hotels in China for me, by quite a distance.

i was surprised that i had the whole property to my own! right next to Napa Field. Walking distance to the lush greenery surrounded with the yaks and horses and cows. the bed (shared dormitory) was clean, toilet is good and come with fresh towel and toothbrush for all occupants!
i can really ignore the squeking sound as long im not cold, so happy they have electric blanket as well to warm my night

When I first met the boss, I thought he was a scam because he was so enthusiastic. But he was really considerate and upgraded the room for me and my family. I really didn't expect it. The hotel is at the foot of Shika Snow Mountain. There are many cows grazing leisurely. The hotel has two very handsome and friendly dogs, but they hate cows. As long as they find cows sneaking into the yard, they will bravely drive them away. The hotel is a wooden house structure that is very close to nature. The floor heating is very hot and the water is very hot! Don't believe those comments that the water is not hot!

Stayed in Shangri-La for two nights, near the north gate of the ancient city, very close to Sifang Street and Guishan Park, the boss and staff are very enthusiastic, thank you. The apartment is chic and the duplex two beds are suitable for family living.

One of the things I was most looking forward to on this trip was returning to the hotel in the evening, sitting by the fireplace and being handed a hot tea with yak milk. No such thing was going on. But the staff were numerous and ready to help our with any request. They kindly arranged to take us on their motortuck with our luggage to the North Gate which was 150 m from the hotel, and called a Didi for us (local Grab or Uber) as we were not able to register with this service. The room was spacious and decorated with charm. The staff did not want to switch the air-conditioning on because it was dripping. It went a bit cold in the night. Sockets thoughtfully placed by the bedside. No fridge. No hand towels. Ask for the right TV remote.

Singaporean travellers. Recommend this hostel if you plan to stay within the ancient town. Host was really friendly and helpful. We got advice and suggestions on itinerary, and host also had contacts with local drivers to 拼车/包车 which were much needed as we didn't have contacts for our travel. We went to Pudacuo national park, Songzanlin monastery, Meili Mountain. Amenities were complete and comfortable to stay in. Smart toilet, warm heated room, simple breakfast provided, lounge area with cute pet dog :)

Carol on reception was superb and help us out of a very stressful situation when the airport was closed because of snow. We were exceptionally grateful for her excellent english skills. Mark the waiter/ noodle chef was also extremely helpful. He spoke no English but was very patient with my Chinese.
Many staff were off sick with covid as it was a few days after restrictions were lifted when we visited. Still everyone was working twice as hard to cover their colleagues. This lead to one of our rooms not being cleaned one day. Not the end of the world.

GGuest UserThis B&B must be ranked number one in Tiger Leaping Gorge! I looked at a lot about the accommodation environment and took a quick look at it. Sure enough, there is no seller’s show or buyer’s show. It can be said that the pictures are not as beautiful as the real scene! The two bosses are very down-to-earth people. It can be said that they are working very hard on this B&B. Unfortunately, they don’t know how to market it and have too little exposure. But consumers must tell the truth. It’s really great. The food, accommodation and transportation services are not even mentioned! I met many like-minded friends here. It was a very happy trip. I will come again if I have the opportunity!

GGuest UserExcellent location - on the edge of Shangri-La old town. The owners of the hotel will kindly pick you up and drop you off at the train station for free. Lee is very kind and helpful with any questions you have about getting around Shangri-La. The hotel itself is really beautiful with a lovely courtyard. There is a simple but good breakfast available. This is an excellent choice for Shangri-La. Only things to note are that there is no minibar/fridge in the room contrary to the room description, and the heating for the room is automatic and not controlled by the individual rooms. The heating is also only underfloor heating. I felt quite cold in the evening as a result but this may not be a problem for everyone.

SsamnahataWe stayed here after hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge and were happy to find a very clean and spacious room with reliable heating. The floors and room are heated and the hot water works well. The room also includes oxygen to make your stay comfortable.
The property is quite big and also seems to be relatively new. It's well maintained. The location was great, it's about 5 minutes from the Ancient Town East Gate with plenty of grocery, convenience store, and restaurant options around. The Big Buddha temple is a short 5 minute walk away.
The staff are really helpful. They created a wechat group for us with all their staff so they could help us with any requests or information immediately. They helped us arrange a driver for a day trip. We didn't get to try the breakfast or restaurant during our stay here.

GGuest UserLove this hotel in Shangri-la!! Was welcomed by complimentary pickup from the airport in a Chervelot. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were offered snacks and tea, and 3 types of scents to choose from for shampoo, conditioner and soap. We could also choose from Chinese, Western and Tibentian breakfasts for the next morning.
The room itself was well-designed with a modern touch on Tibetian decor. There were 2 oxygenators for those with altitude sickness. We were surprised to be offered with a nourishing dessert soup and fruit as well. As a new hotel, the facilities are in good condition.
The hotel managers/ staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-la!

GGuest UserSuch a cute place in a beautiful location! The owner’s are very very sweet and welcoming.
The room I was staying in was nice and cozy. In the day time I could soak in sunlight while looking out on the mountains, at night time I got warm from the AC and warm blankets. In the common room they also have a traditional fire oven where you can sit at get warm while trying some of their local foods and chit chat.
Just staying in this nice environment made the trip so amazing. I hope I can come back soon again.

Hhee senunique, excellent service, location, meals and room.
Owner couple went out of their way to serve guests. They cooked the best meal in the area so no need to find food elsewhere.
They arranged transport for us to go to Shangrila, Lijian Airport and the hiking trails.
We were also invited to a wedding party in the Village high up i the mountain. Joyous celebration of dance and song with the whole village.
our last day was the special day where the villagers slaughter their own pigs to make preserved meat. We were again invited to the farms high up in the mountain and had a most unique experience of live pig slaughtering and BBQ. No tour will ever offer this.
As hotel, the accommodation is excellent for the price. Our room overlooks the gorge and mountain. The heated bed is great touch and comfort.
Can see stars in the sky at night from the room balcony.
Family run and treat guests like family. Highly recommended.

BBrownI have stayed in many hotels in Shangrila old town over the past 12 years so have a little experience. Location: Close to the top dancing square but at the top of a very steep hill. It had rained so the stone street was VERY slippery. It is close to impossible to walk up the hill with suitcase. There is a 1/2 meter wide ***** of carpet that was laid down on the right side of the road going up the hill. It gave great traction, but unfortunately some non-thinking person had parked their electric cart directly on top of the carpet so you could not navigate it. I arrived at 6 PM and that electric cart was still sitting on the carpet in the same place the next morning at 9 AM. Trying to walk around the electric cart , but I did slip and fell to the ground. I would not come back to this hotel again, if there was any potential for any rain. The picture is of the morning after the rain had dried. When I booked my room, they did tell me that there was only one room remaining and it was for four people. I was solo but I booked it anyway. Unfortunately, I did not understand that there are four beds that are actually side-by-side touching each other. They are very very thin pads laid on top of a wooden platform. No way to get into or out of any bed without crawling back to the foot of the bed and going over the edge that way. It was the hardest sleeping service I have ever been on and got very little sleep. If I had my sleeping bag and camping mattress, I would’ve just slept on the floor. Won’t be back here again. The service people at the hotel were very nice. Offered to carry my bag up to my room on the third floor and the woman who provided the breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Have no complain about the service just the beds in the access to the hotel. If it’s raining, make it a no go for me

Pplushparadisetea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night.
as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on…
amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food.
you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking.
consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

RRonaldThis was the nicest hotel during our China trip start of May 2024. The rooms are spacious, the beds have perfect matrasses, Rooms are heated and have a humidifyer as the air is very dry in Shangri-La. The exterior and interior are ******* style. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Short walking distance from the main square and streets and 3 minutes walk from the street where to take a taxi. Very quiet at night. First choice in Shangri-la when we make it back.
