MMarkBRAVO! Jamal and his family have transformed their ancestral home into a place that we (and other visitors alike) can call home in Fez. From meeting us at the main road and escorting us through the narrow lanes of the medina, to joyfully serving us breakfast each morning and a sumptuous dinner on our final evening, Jamal and family were super accommodating and friendly.

FFrank24Facilities: In Riad, the room type is huge and worthy of the title of suite suite. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is bright. The public area is definitely a ceiling level in Fesri. It is worth visiting to take pictures and punch in. After all, it is a 700-year-old building. But it is recently renovated, so don't worry about old equipment and facilities. The furniture and other materials are exquisite, and even snail technology. On the hottest day, my deluxe room air conditioning was not strong, so I upgraded to a family suite directly (other room types are full, it can be seen that it is very hot)
Hygienic: clean and tidy, whether it is in the room or in the public area, restaurants, etc., it can meet the five-star standard.
Environment: Look at the picture to know how beautiful the public area environment is. Mosaic walls, atriums, green plants, chairs, etc., all see the work. At the same time, the location is in the center of the old city, about 15 minutes walk from the parking lot. There are too many alleys. Remember to look at the hotel signs on the walls in the streets and alleys, and it is not difficult to find.
Service: The service is good overall, the staff in the hotel are very warm, the breakfast is full, and the terrace is dining, and the unique old town scenery can be photographed. However, the person who picks up the luggage is not a hotel employee, and needs to pay another handling fee (people are very hard to earn hard labor, no problem to give money, just ask the hotel in advance to communicate)

AANRANBreakfast is a local breakfast, see the picture, relatively plain. I like to eat meat in the morning so it is not very appetizing. The hotel itself is really beautiful, the official website said that the 13XX Pasha Palace was refurbished and refurbished. The hotel is located in the old town and is convenient to wherever you go. But the Old City is harder to find, so you must not miss the sign on the wall when you walk! Finally, in a digression, I encountered a small gangster who forced the way to lead money in the alley. VvoiletteThe 14th century house, the building itself is very beautiful and amazing. Breakfast is on the top of the building, the scenery is great, and you can see a large area of medina. The room facilities are also good, basically have everything they should. But the old house also has problems. The soundproofing is too poor. There is a room on the second floor that can be heard up and down by the elevator, and the noise in the aisle will be loud. It was already evening on the day of arrival, and when I entered the house, I rushed into the smell of disinfectant water. The biggest breakdown is that there are 4 power jumps in 2 nights. This kind of thing happens in such a house is really scary. When the staff said that this had never happened before, it made people feel even more terrifying. The traffic is fairly convenient, you can park nearby, and you don’t have to drag your luggage for too long. But this location is actually quite far away from the regular old city activity area, and the shortcuts in the old city don't dare to go at night. We wanted to take a taxi on the side of the road at about four or five o'clock. It was difficult to take a taxi. It seemed that the taxis were full of people. Leaving in the morning, I had to take a taxi to the CTM station. Since it is difficult to call a petit taxi at this location during the day, I asked the front desk to help book a private car. It takes about ten minutes and 100dhr. If you know you have been killed, you can only use this method.
The girl at the front desk is very dedicated and feels like she is sitting there day and night. If you have any questions, just ask her, but it makes people feel that pushing dinner and spa is a bit too much, but I don’t say anything if I refuse. Woke up the morning before leaving and helped us pack breakfast.

GGuest UserIf I ever return to Fes, I will definitely stay here again. In contrast to its historic and traditional charm, the rooms were incredibly clean and beautiful. Waking up to nothing but the sound of birds chirping in the morning was a dream.
Every detail of the interior was stunning, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The location is actually much easier to find compared to other accommodations in Fes. However, I did have a bit of trouble finding it at first and unfortunately got scammed by a fake guide—so please be careful! Also, keep in mind that the stairs are quite steep. Aside from those points, my stay was absolutely perfect.

Beautiful place on the outskirts of the Medina with easy access to the roundabout and the Blue Gate. Would 100000% stay here again. Thanks so much for everything to all of the staff at Layla, especially Mohammed!!!!

OophrexGreat breakfast and wonderful service at the breakfast. The spa area was freshly renovated and smelled of lacquer. The female sauna was not operational. The steam bath (Turkish hammam) was marked as free in the hotel description, but the staff told us that it needed a reservation and wouldn't let us use it. Worst of all and something that is inconceivable for a hotel in this category, they were out of stock on hotel slippers! How to use the spa area or relax in the room without slippers?

GGuest UserThe Riad is right for the price. It's centrally located at the Medina. I got the room at the rooftop. No lift, only a narrowed spiral staircase. You have to carry your luggage up & down. If you are elderly and have issues with your back or knee problem this place is not for you.
If you need to talk to the owner of the Riad you have to watsapp him if you have any concerns. I had an issue with my door lock. Luckily, they quickly addressed my issue & changed my door lock immediately.
