This hostel is absolutely fantastic! The location is superb – super close to the Stadthuys, Jonker Street, and St. Paul's Hill. You can get here directly from Malacca Central Station by taking the M100 bus; it's about a 10-minute walk from the Hatten Hotel bus stop. The ground floor is a common area with a washing machine, dryer, kitchen, and even a media room, plus lots of cats! I stayed on the third floor this time, and you do have to carry your own luggage up, so keep that in mind if you have big bags. It's great that the bathroom, toilet, and washbasins are all on the same floor. The only minor point is that each bed only has one power outlet, which might not be enough, but there are extra outlets in the room that you can use with an adapter, so that makes up for it.

Excellent Heritage Stay in a Prime Location! Perfect Location: Super convenient and within walking distance to Jonker Walk and Masjid Kampung Kling. There are plenty of great eateries and coffee shops right around the corner. Beautiful & Clean: We stayed in the Garden Room, which was lovely, tidy, and very comfortable. Charming Vibe: The heritage architecture gives the place a really wonderful, authentic character.

This is my second stay here. We booked a deluxe double room and got a ground-floor room right behind the front desk. The room wasn't huge, but it wasn't cramped either; there was still enough space to sit. There were plenty of outlets, the air conditioning worked well, and there was also a fan. The room was clean and smelled good, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. In the wardrobe, there were several hangers that seemed to have been left by previous guests. The bathroom provided soap and shampoo, and the water pressure was good. There was no drinking water in the room, but you could always get water from the dispenser behind the front desk. Tea and coffee were also available.

overall i’m very satisfied with my stay at this hotel.. The room, the toilet, was very clean. The check in process was very easy and convincing.. My kids were very happy to stay here and they wish to come again.

We didnt bring any car, no comment about parking. The unit is enough for 6 adult. Aircon work good at living room, but not at the 3 bed room. They need to fix it. We have decent stay at the unit, towel and drinking water provided. One thing minus from the building is the Elevator, only 2 slow Elevator to provide all the unit with 26th floor. There is one time we need to go emergency exit just to go down to the ground floor. 😅

Check-in was marred by hidden fees that I had to pay in addition to the room rate itself. There were 3 ringgit, which were mentioned during booking, and a 10 ringgit tourist tax that Trip.com didn't disclose. Lim, the manager at the reception desk, handled the unpleasant situation very professionally and tactfully, and I'm incredibly grateful to him for that. The room itself was good, spacious, and clean, with fresh linen and towels. On the downside: There were small cockroaches, which, while tiny, were still unpleasant. The complimentary water provided was awful and seemed to be just tap water. It was undrinkable due to its taste and smell. Also, there was a continuous hum in the room, seemingly from a pump or battery, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The location is a 15-minute walk from the historic street, which was acceptable for the price I paid – 40 ringgit plus 13 ringgit in tourist levies. However, the price increased on other days, and the room wasn't worth that higher cost.

An ideal choice for budget travelers, this hotel offers unbeatable value in a highly strategic location near local eateries and city attractions. While the decor feels a bit dated, the rooms are kept comfortably cool with functional air conditioning.

Budget hotel which meet your expectations. Before checking in, please set your expectations. This is not Shangrila or Grand Hyatt level. If your expectation is correct, then money well spent. 2 big queen size bed, decent shower, probably is best value point relative ro other budget hotel in Malacca. Location in Semabok, outskirts from main tourist spot but who cares if you know what you want. Obviously need transport to move around.

Self check-in, no hassle, no fuss. It's nearby to eateries and Melaka Raya. Not bad. Rooms available for an affordable price. Ample parking spots too.

This small, Chinese-run guesthouse's biggest draw is its excellent location. It's just a short walk to numerous restaurants, shops, and Malacca's Old Town. However, the facilities are quite dated. The air conditioning in my first room kept leaking, so I had to switch rooms. The AC in the second room also didn't cool well, but I just put up with it. I figured all their rooms probably had similar issues, so changing again wouldn't make much difference. Even the bath towels were torn and frayed. Given the low price, I couldn't really be too critical. After all, you get what you pay for, haha!
