Anonymous UserOverall, the hotel's location is unbeatable 👍. It's about a 5-minute walk from the metro station, and you can even walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid, which is incredibly convenient for tourists. The front desk staff were very friendly and polite 😊, and the room itself was clean with no major issues.
However, during my three-night stay, my towels were never replaced. It wouldn't have been a big deal if they just left them, but the most ridiculous thing was that I had hung a wet towel to dry, and the cleaning staff actually folded it back up and put it in its original spot. This caused the towel to develop a musty smell 🤢, which was really unpleasant.
Additionally, the rubber seal on the shower door was loose and had come off, causing water to leak all over the bathroom floor when showering 💧. This made the entire floor wet, and the facility maintenance could definitely be improved.
I hope the hotel can pay more attention to these details. After all, with such a great location, it would be perfect if the cleaning and maintenance were better 🙏.

Jong-Ki KimTheir room key had problem when one go out after check-in, making it not working deliberately for security, that’s they said, even I went to eat something in their restaurant, after that room key was not working I couldn’t enter my room and ask validation again at front desk. I never experienced such manner over the world. I don’t like revisiting later

Anonymous UserWhat a cocky place.
It’s a hostel, but there’s no kitchen. Since they have a restaurant, I guess the expectation is that guests eat there.
They charge €5 for early check-in, even if you arrive just one hour early. They also charge for luggage storage, with the price depending on the size of your luggage.
As of 21 August, there’s construction directly opposite the hostel, on the train station side. They start early, so be prepared to wake up to construction noise.
But the biggest issue for me was how unnecessarily inefficient the check-in process is.
They send you a link to complete check-in, but even though your reservation is already fully paid, they still collect your credit card details. Huh? I’ve never encountered this at a hostel. One of the reasons I book through booking platforms is precisely so I don’t have to hand over my card details to every individual property. Apparently, this hostel believes it can protect my data better than the big booking platforms. 🤷♀️
And then: I arrived one hour early and completed the check-in process at the front desk. I went out for lunch ( because they asked me to pay 5 eur for early check-in), and when I came back, there was a queue for check-in again. Completely ridiculous and unnecessarily inefficient.
To be fair, it’s a fancy-looking hostel in a convenient location, very close to the train station, with plenty of nice restaurants around.
But for me, the whole experience felt unnecessarily money-focused and inefficient. Fancy doesn’t automatically mean good hospitality.

Traveling between Atocha Station and the hotel was hassle-free, even with large suitcases. The proximity to the subway station also made the location incredibly convenient. It might have been because we stayed over the weekend, but it was quite lively outside. The room was clean and comfortable, though there was no cleaning service or towel change. The entrance is self-locking, but we checked in before noon (during staffed hours), so it was smooth. However, for those unfamiliar, it might be worth noting that there are unstaffed periods.

GODshangdizhishouLocated at one end of a strip of hotels near the airport, I've stayed at almost all of them. Their prices are all pretty similar, but this hotel consistently offers great value for money. It's highly recommended if you're catching a flight.

Great location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!

Among the many expensive hotels in Madrid, this one offers great value for money and is suitable for solo travelers.
It's conveniently located with numerous bus stops and a metro station right outside.
A taxi ride to Atocha train station costs around ten euros, and to the airport, it's less than forty euros.
The facilities and cleanliness meet expectations for a three-star hotel.

We've been to many places in Spain, but never before have we encountered such a complicated procedure for getting into an apartment.
Usually, before your stay, you receive an email with a form to fill out with your personal details and check-in instructions. In this case, we received the following message: ”This property has no reception. Please contact them for detailed check-in instructions.”
On the Trip.com app, you could contact them via messenger or phone. We didn't receive a response on messenger, so we called the number provided (you could choose to be redirected to ”reception” or ”reservations,” which we chose). Over the phone (in English), we were given two more phone numbers for reception, which we were to contact via WhatsApp. The first one didn't answer, and after entering the confirmation code from the email, they replied to us, and only then did we receive the form to fill out. After filling out the form, we received the correct door code, apartment number, and address (!)—it turned out our apartment was in the building opposite the address in the ad. It wasn't the most pleasant check-in process, having to endure the heat and luggage.
It seems that many visitors face the same problem – in the stairwell of one of the buildings (at the address advertised, not the one where we ended up staying), the residents posted a sign informing tourists that there were no tourist apartments on the top two floors of the building.
The apartment itself was okay, with good air conditioning and a fairly well-equipped interior. In reality, it looked a bit worse than in the photos. There was no Wi-Fi, and instead, a broken router was lying on the floor.

how much I love Spain is how badly I was frustrated by the poor service provided via one of the telephones they left for contact upon arrival. The guy on the phone was really irritable and if you don't speak Spanish be ready for feeling stupid, dumb, and unwelcome. Up to 7 tourists arrived by 3 pm and we were all trying to get the formularios on our whats app to eventually get into the rooms but the codes weren't working in the beginning. Complete chaos.
I won't dwell into the room conditions (the smell, the bed, the patio view), putting 5 stars to that because I can tolerate A LOT as long as the room ain't have living objects in it. I didn't see any cockroaches so it was fine in the end. Plus a good wifi connection, perfectly cleaned shared bathroom. See, I can put up with many things - so imagine how bad the service was to spoil the stay even for me. In my background they usually say that for this level of quality and an unmatching price the reception is considered to ”kiss clients' a**es” (I don't support this discourse). Here - ... vice versa.
