Amazing
GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived via boat to the most beautiful setting, we were breath taken! The private beach is great for snorkeling and safe for kids. Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!!
Pros:
- Stunning location
- Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic!
- Great breakfast selection
- Food available all day
- Clean
- Staff helpful and friendly
- Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free
- Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing
- Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!)
- Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas
Cons:
- One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists
- No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in)
- No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away)
- Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs)
We would most certainly stay here again!
AAnonymous UserThis bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB.
I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy.
The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes.
A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity.
GGuest UserTide was crazily high with lots of debris and rubbish, sandbags at front door exposed so all around looked pretty untidy. Very clean room, lovely staff, no English spoken, wrong time of year for Koh Lipe, not many shops open in the street, rubbish all over the island and only a few hotels open and ready. Motorbikes/sidebars whizz up and down walking street which is narrow, so look have to look out for them constantly. Retailers not friendly as so bored without customers in Sept/Oct. Covids had a huge effect on this beautiful island, won't be coming back for a couple of years unfortunately...all looked very grim!!!
MMescudineFantastic! The view is exceptional, and the beach is stunning and peaceful because the boats are docked on the previous beach. The staff are lovely, and the bar and restaurant are great value for money. The breakfast is very good, even if there isn't a huge selection. The location is perfect, the sunrises are magnificent, and the water is turquoise – it's a little paradise on earth. This is the best spot on the island. It's a 20-minute walk to Sunset Beach and barely 10 minutes on foot to the small center of Koh Lipe, where you'll find shops, mini-marts, and a bunch of small restaurants. Everything on this island is walkable, it's so peaceful and pleasant. We loved it so much that we added a fourth night to our stay! The little chalet is very cute, though it's not easy to sleep well without air conditioning; there's little air circulation, and it's heavy, but we survived. The bathroom does the job; there's no hot water, but honestly, you don't need it – a cool shower is very welcome when it's 30 degrees Celsius 24/7. It's an eco-lodge in the middle of nature, so you have to accept seeing a few little creatures sometimes; it's part of the experience :) You can rent masks for snorkeling and kayaks or try an introductory dive thanks to the agency right next to the beach. This is a quiet resort with no entertainment. For evening entertainment, head to Sunset Beach or the bars at the end of the hotel beach (you can also watch the sunset there, and the view is very pretty).
GGuest UserReally convenient direct access to the beach from room facing ocean, and sunrise view is the best! Plenty of power sockets around the room, big comfy bed, however, water pressure in shower is rather low and quite a lot of mosquitoes in the evening. Overall, stay was memorable and staff are helpful and warm.
GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with the room! It's spacious, the bed is huge, and there's a swimming pool. The price I got by booking in advance was an absolute steal! Koh Lipe isn't very big, and you can reach a beach with just a short walk. It's perfect for those who don't necessarily need a sea-view room but prefer a private bungalow.
GGuest UserGreat location right on Pattaya Beach. It's a pleasant 7-8 minute walk along the beach to Walking Street. The Truluck massage place by the beach is right next to the buffet restaurant, so you can enjoy the sea breeze and the sound of waves, which is very relaxing.
The room itself was standard but quite clean, offering good value for money.
Breakfast was a buffet, but the variety was limited. Still, it was more than enough to fill up on.
KKateAndEmilAn average hotel with a tired renovation. The bathroom has an instantaneous water heater, but the water is always cold. The toilet leaked when flushed. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance so they can meet you at the pier to take your luggage.
Ssergei ruzanovI liked this place, like grandma's in the village. The house looks cheerful, simple inside, but the air conditioning is excellent, the water heater works, the water pressure is good. 2 bottles of water every day. Excellent breakfast, delicious, a lot, appetizingly served! The location is right on the beach, a nice small pool, a view of the ocean at breakfast. Perfectly working Wi-Fi in the cafe area by the pool, calls, files, everything without problems. A good beach is 100 meters to the left, the bottom is sandy, there are fewer boats there.
