Let me provide an objective overview of my stay.
👍🏻**The Good:**
First off, the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with every single team member demonstrating professionalism. Their attentive and friendly service truly made us feel happy and valued. The hotel boasts a superb location; its private beach is fronted by reefs and mature trees, offering plenty of shade, which made it pleasantly cool for daytime activities. Every single bungalow provides a stunning sea view! Plus, they offer a complimentary transfer to the pier when it's time to depart.
😮💨**The Not-So-Good:**
On the downside, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards in our room creaked noticeably when we walked around. We also found quite a few mosquitoes and other insects in the bungalow, and the shower water pressure was rather low. The breakfast is à la carte, but the food quality was just average.
**In Summary:**
If you're planning a trip to the island, I'd suggest splitting your stay: two nights near Pattaya Beach (by the pier) and two nights on the Sunrise side.
**A Final Clarification:**
The hotel does not provide complimentary kayaks. However, there are numerous kayak rental options available right along the beach.
AAnonymous UserThis bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB.
I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy.
The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes.
A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity.
TTatiana PlotnikovaThe hotel is located right on the beachfront, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. There's a very warm and clean pool with a wonderful sea view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available by the pool and on the beach. Breakfasts are excellent, with good coffee from a machine, several kinds of fruit, and delicious yogurts always on offer.
I have no complaints about the hotel itself. HOWEVER, I do have a major issue with the hotel owner: how can you put guests in a house where they are being eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes!!! This is because the wooden doors and windows are old, warped, and have huge gaps, making it impossible to close them tightly, and the mosquito nets are full of holes. You can see this clearly in the photos. We asked to be moved, but there were no available rooms. Instead of enjoying the beautiful sea, we had to buy tape to seal all the holes in the windows, and we taped up the front door at night, otherwise, it wouldn't just be mosquitoes living in our house. We also bought mosquito coils and burned them constantly, breathing smoke instead of fresh air. This particular house is the only one in such a state; all the other rooms are fine 👌
The house itself is spacious, with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, which was very convenient for us! Change the windows and doors, and it would be perfect! 🔥 But to spend your entire vacation battling mosquitoes and bites for $200 a night, that's just not fair 😳 I didn't want to lower the hotel's rating too much, as the staff isn't to blame, they're great.
MMescudineFantastic! The view is exceptional, and the beach is stunning and peaceful because the boats are docked on the previous beach. The staff are lovely, and the bar and restaurant are great value for money. The breakfast is very good, even if there isn't a huge selection. The location is perfect, the sunrises are magnificent, and the water is turquoise – it's a little paradise on earth. This is the best spot on the island. It's a 20-minute walk to Sunset Beach and barely 10 minutes on foot to the small center of Koh Lipe, where you'll find shops, mini-marts, and a bunch of small restaurants. Everything on this island is walkable, it's so peaceful and pleasant. We loved it so much that we added a fourth night to our stay! The little chalet is very cute, though it's not easy to sleep well without air conditioning; there's little air circulation, and it's heavy, but we survived. The bathroom does the job; there's no hot water, but honestly, you don't need it – a cool shower is very welcome when it's 30 degrees Celsius 24/7. It's an eco-lodge in the middle of nature, so you have to accept seeing a few little creatures sometimes; it's part of the experience :) You can rent masks for snorkeling and kayaks or try an introductory dive thanks to the agency right next to the beach. This is a quiet resort with no entertainment. For evening entertainment, head to Sunset Beach or the bars at the end of the hotel beach (you can also watch the sunset there, and the view is very pretty).
GGuest UserWe had an awesome stay! You will have your own bungalow which has a huge bed, a refrigerator, AC and drinks + Coffee for free! Very cool extra: there are many usb ports for charging!
You are right in the exact middle of the pattaya beach and a few meters away from the walking street. Nights are very quite for great sleep and staff was more than friendly. You even get a free welcome drink with refreshing towel which is a big plus after you arrive by boat!
We really liked our 4 day stay and would recommend and book again. More than happy :)
GGuest UserReally convenient direct access to the beach from room facing ocean, and sunrise view is the best! Plenty of power sockets around the room, big comfy bed, however, water pressure in shower is rather low and quite a lot of mosquitoes in the evening. Overall, stay was memorable and staff are helpful and warm.
GGuest UserGreat value for money! It's right by the sea, so you can swim. Sometimes boats come by, but the water is still clean. There's a restaurant at the hotel, and the food is tasty and affordable. Breakfasts are a bit repetitive and simple, but they do the job. The rooms are clean, even if they are a little dated. There are tons of mosquitoes! But that's true for the whole island. The staff is understanding. We always brought our own beer and other alcohol to the cafe and only ordered food. It's about a 7-minute walk from the local Walking Street. There's a ***** bar nearby :))
AAnonymous UserStaff friendly and very responsive to guest needs
Location wise it's very near to sunrise beach and proximity to the popular walking street
Cleanliness not top notch, encounter 2 night critters in the room though it's not a large one.
Room amenities basic. The water pressure and lighting in the room can be better..
KKateAndEmilAn average hotel with a tired renovation. The bathroom has an instantaneous water heater, but the water is always cold. The toilet leaked when flushed. The air conditioner blows directly onto the bed. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance so they can meet you at the pier to take your luggage.
GGuest UserThe hotel was chosen based on its relatively low price and location. The hotel has seen a lot in its time: a padlock on the front door, cracks in the floor, sockets that are extremely loose, unobtrusive service. However, enough of the negative. Quite good breakfasts, proximity to the sea, good attitude of the staff level out the negative. Try it!
