GGuest UserI spent four nights in the excecutive suite of the new wing and i was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and excellent standard of this beautiful resort near the airport, which was not noticeable at all (no planes flying over or near the location). The hotel staff was always attentive, friendly and helpful. The beach was kept clean, the schools of little fish in the water indicating its purity. The restaurant Allegro's breakfast buffet offered a variety of different cuisine to choose from: tasty , fresh, appetizingly displayed. i especially enjoyed the local filipino treats like puto and bibinki. In addition i thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian pizza at Delfino's and the refreshing thrist-quenching freshly-made juices at the juiceBar. I received two very relaxing treatments by Ms.Aileen at the Spa, with its peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Housekeeper Ms.Rose was impeccable at making sure i always had new bottles of drinking water. Although i did not require her daily housekeeping, my room stayed clean , towels orderly and my laundry was in perfect condition , delivered on time. This beautiful Resort deserves a five star rating in my humble opinion. Bravo and Thank you Bluewater Maribago, i know where i will be staying when i come back to the Philippines in the near future.
BBaimajunzai2000Facilities: Hot water shower and air conditioning are good. But there are no other facilities in the room, no kettle, no hair dryer. You need to bring your own kettle, or go to the front desk to get a cup and pour water.
Hygiene: The room is cleaned every day, but the swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. I don’t know how to maintain it, so I didn’t dare to go to the swimming pool. Fortunately, it’s close to the sea, so you can just swim in the sea.
Environment: Both entering and exiting require a long and rugged road. Close to the sea, you can go snorkeling. It's just a hotel, without any star-level services provided, and there is a service fee charged at the end. It is incorrect to list it as a top-ranked local four-star hotel on Ctrip. There should be more options.
Service: Unlike the diving shops in Bohol, there is no safety officer here. We took part in the snorkeling activity, because we went with divers, the guide was not very enthusiastic. There is no introduction leaflet for the event to refer to.
However, it is indeed convenient to go to see the sardines. You can just take a boat and join the activity to get there. No need to go around town.
Special reminder: this fee is not deducted by Ctrip, you need to pay in cash at the store. There is a reminder in the order, please be sure to bring enough cash.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Costabella. Everyone was friendly. The pool and private beach were great. The only downside was the broken shower on the first day, but it was fixed quickly upon request. There were also some flying insects in the bathroom.

RRedPillsI'm sorry, but the musty carpet smell ruined my experience. It smells as if the hotel hasn't shampooed the carpets in 20 years. I asked to change rooms the first night, but that didn't make much difference. Such a small room window meant that I couldn't air out the room.
The smell was so fetid, that I'd cover my nose with the bed linen just to sleep. I was tempted to sleep in the bathroom where there was no carpet, or even just book another hotel.
I can't recommend this hotel to anyone, and I won't be returning unless they remove or replace the carpet, as I doubt even a shampoo job would remove odour this bad. They've had complaints about the carpet before, so I can't see this happening.
And that's a shame, because the decent interior design and amenities provided is on par with that of a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's too bad the hotel managers will scare off potential guests just to save costs on shampooing carpets.
I can't always say positive things about the service, either. While the staff are polite, I'd ask them to fix my safety deposit box while I was out and it never happened. I'd have to keep reminding them to supply me with water, a little cumbersome since I really didn't have a direct way of communicating to housekeeping. There was a phone line, but calls weren't answered.
Regarding location, you'd think it's a prime location given its proximity to Ayala Mall. Just be warned that the hotel is positioned between major traffic jams (see the photo). These traffic jams didn't just occur during peak hours, either. Otherwise, the rooms weren't as noisy as it looks.

JJan MoreThe staff were so nice and accommodating. They truly cared for us when the earthquake happened on the night we were sleeping in our rooms. We used the stairs from the 5th floor post incident fearing for the aftershocks…we all stayed by the under renovation pool to stay away from the building in case it collapsed. The building swayed so much with the 6.9 magnitude..it was scary. The staff were calm and kept us all comfortable despite being scared themselves too. They helped us all moved to the 2nd floor after midnight post safety inspection.

JJesse AcasoI'm kinda disappointed in my stay here because the fact that I compared this branch with Panglao branch, so i was expecting the same amenities. The service were the same all smiles to all the customers but I'm disappointed for the amenities because my room doesn't have hot shower and the building needs for detailed upgrade. I booked on this building as I was hoping it's newly renovated the place was new however some furniture way outdated and needs a more thorough upgrade. Love the earth restaurant still 🩷🧡💛

MMPBCWe really enjoyed our stay here. Solea Mactan is far from the city but everything you need is in the hotel already. We loved how they value those families traveling because they have a play area for kids and kids at heart. There are also lots of swimming pools although I think the beach area could be better. They also have these freebies which we really appreciated. Breakfast was also good!

GGuest UserHad a great stay. The staff and spa as always fantastic. The food has become very disappointing. Over priced and low quality.
Ordered Calamari appetiser. Has been really good in the past. Large portion and fresh. Now, tiny portion and obviously prepackaged frozen. Not edible rubber.
Wife Ordered the Salmon filet. Cold and raw in the middle.

GGuest UserKitchen utensils were also available and I was able to stay without inconvenience. The water pressure in the shower is a little weak, but you can take a shower without any problems. It was very good.
