I believe it is important to acknowledge and celebrate excellence, and I sincerely hope that the outstanding efforts of the hotel team members are recognized for their service excellence: - Wang Yu Wen (Azekura) - Nobukazu Yoshida (Azekura) - Miyamae (Azekura) - Okubo Ren (Azekura) - Murata (Lounge) - Pabina (Lounge) - Kim (Front Desk) - Pitcha (Front Desk) - Arjun (Front Desk) - Dushanta (Front Desk) Some highlights of this stay: - Sparkling Wine provided for Bonvoy members during breakfast, ingredients also sourced from Nara - FHR dining credit has 125usd instead of the 100usd - Azekura the JP restaurant: one of the best teppanyaki and kaiseki I had in JP - no sento but there's a jacuzzi in the pool. The fitness gym was quite comprehensive The regular Room was already very big, comfy bed and clean! No upgrade this time since all rooms are fully booked - service! 100% good! One of the most friendly staff and quite a number overseas staff. - The hotel provide a shuttle bus to Nara station or Kintetsu Below content for those who has time to read To start, it was the first day of the dining experience at Azekura that got me to have not one but two dining occasions at the restaurant. Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. Both Murata and Pabina were some of those whom I felt had delivered great service during the evening cocktail hours. Lastly

It was a hotel with a gorgeous view from the room. I was disappointed that the wide-edge chair had almost no backrest, but thanks to that, I was able to see the night view from Mt. Wakakusa, one of Japan's top three night views, while lying on the bed facing the window. I took two rooms with my daughter's couple and tried to use our room as a meeting place, but the Japanese-Western rooms had hard tatami mats and the chairs had no backrests, so we ended up meeting in the lobby. The sofa around the fireplace was the special seat, but there were little games on the other sofas that everyone could enjoy. Self-service free coffee comes in hot and iced varieties, and others include iced tea and apple juice. At night, you can roast marshmallows over the fireplace and eat them as s'mores between crackers. On the free stargazing tour starting at 9:00 p.m., you can enjoy a 180-degree night view from the top of the mountain. We had dinner starting at 6:30, but even though the food was not slow and the waiters were not slow, we were running out of time (we had to hurry and finish at 8:45), so if you want to sign up for a tour, you should start by 6:00. Recommended. Each room had a view bath for 50 minutes, which was plenty. When hot water overflows from the bathtub, hot water is automatically supplied. There is a shower booth, but the water temperature is not stable and the shower is extremely water-saving, so it was a little difficult to use. In addition to shampoos, we have everything from cleansing to face wash and moisturizing. There is also a sink in the changing area, so you can remove your makeup there. This may not be an individual private bath, so... Towels, bath towels, co**** cloth for washing the body, and water were set in each basket. There were plenty of electrical outlets in the room in easy-to-use locations. 1 outlet and 1 typeA USB port per bed. There are 2 packs of coffee per person, 3 packs of each of 2 types of tea, and 1 bottle of water per person. The food was also luxurious and delicious for me.

The hotel in general is a reasonably priced hot spring inn, with good customer service and spacious rooms, but a little old. There were many small children, and it was fully booked, even though it was not a weekend. We had the 1,300-year-old gourmet cuisine ”Tenpyo no Utage,” which claims to be the only one of its kind in Japan. The cuisine was created with the support of archaeologists and culinary experts over five years, based on wooden tablets, pottery, and documents excavated from Heijo Palace. Including the 20 years since then, it has a tradition of 35 years. Each dish was explained to us. It was very delicious, and almost all the dishes were Michelin one-star level. However, some dishes left a disappointing impression. The daigo, a cheese-like dish made by boiling down milk, was overcooked and was dry and hard. It was much browner than the sample. The wild boar meat was too hard and had lost too much moisture. The dried figs had lost too much moisture. The other dishes, as you would expect from imperial court cuisine, were just the right firmness and very delicious. I was put off by the fact that the only drink available was white sake (shiroki: cloudy sake), even though it was apparently all-you-can-drink. The tea (not sure what kind of tea it was) that came towards the end was not tasty either, but it was easier to drink than white sake, so I wish it had been brought out sooner. Imperial court cuisine, whether Okinawan, Korean, Chinese, or French, is indescribably delicious. I would definitely recommend trying ancient Japanese imperial court cuisine. You can enjoy the ancient imperial court cuisine alone, even without staying overnight. The Tenpyo Banquet is the pinnacle of this hotel!!!

GGoh Li ShanNara Visitor Centre and Inn is charming place located right next to Sarasuwa pond. It is about 7 mins walk from the Kintetsu Nara station. Very near to Kofukuji temple. I stayed from 15-17 June 2023. I felt warmly received by the staff on duty at the inn. Quite a lot of them are Mandarin and English speaking. I really appreciate one of the elderly gentleman’s staff warmth when he took the time to explain to me the attractions around the inn that I can visit, and he speaks Mandarin very well! I also appreciate the other staff’s eagerness to assist when I asked them questions about tours or to recommend places for breakfast. A shoutout also to Yukina, who entertained me when I wanted to do the cosplay and Japanese calligraphy. I also really enjoyed the Japanese dance activity provided during my stay. I really enjoyed my stay here :) I booked a Japanese style room, 8 tatami mats. Spacious for 1. Toiletries provided are sufficient. view from the room showed Kofukuji temple but was blocked by a tree. The only issue I had was that I was given the room at the end of the corridor. I personally preferred not to have a room at end of corridor for personal reasons, but the room was bright, airy and comfortable, and I was happy with it so did not request for a change.

KKinglumLoved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from 15:00pm-2:00am Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!! The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so We can taste more flavors And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go Back again!! Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

GGuest UserOr too busy? No room clothes! On the contrary, maybe the baby bed that the guest needed until the day before remained. The location of the hotel is located in the opposite side of the downtown in the direction. You can leave the station to the hotel and go along the track to shortcut. The lobby was wide 々. Amenity etc are placed next to the front desk and the style to take from there. toothbrushes too. However, the cup was provided in the room. The elevator is a style of pressing the destination floor with a card key. Some elevators also hold the key when going down . The room also has an air purifier, baggage rack, and alarm clock. Glass in a coffee cup and ice in it. The bath is card key, and there are other dedicated keys for women. The exclusive key is 々 exchange day. Hand towels bath towels are provided in the bath, so you don't need to take them from the room. Towel place, I think this is bad for guests, but it is quite messy, so I thought I needed a regular check. The washroom is 8, and 2 of them can be set up with parents and children. No sauna.

GGuest UserA hotel that feels like a business + hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, 3 F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.

GGuest UserFantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us. Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.

GGuest UserExceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point. All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable. One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this. I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

Bbluetree2016130After all, it's good to be close to JR Nara Station. It's about 3 on foot. The parking lot at the hotel is three-dimensional, so you can rest assured in terms of security. It may feel a little narrow for two people. The semi-double bed is just right hard and comfortable to sleep in. Instead of having no curtains on the windows, it is a shoji door. The room with this atmosphere is also good sometimes. There are coin laundry and vending machines on the 5th and 9th floors (on the 1st floor), microwave ovens on the 1st and 5th floors, and free ice making machines on the 5th floor, so it is convenient for long-term stays. There is a convenience store nearby and there is a shopping street and a restaurant to go to Nara Station, so it is enough to stay without meals. A perfect hotel for traveling with your wallet.

満 佐3 I stayed for a night, but the breakfast was very delicious, so it was cheap (2 people in triple room and 3 night 2 million yen). Some problems, so I lower the evaluation a little. I did. The ventilation wind (unstoppable) was very cold, and it was cold when I stopped the air conditioner at night and went to bed (it was noisy without air conditioning). The same thing was said to be a common bathroom in the toilet washroom, and it was cold because it was a mechanism to automatically tighten even if the slide door was opened and warmed. The bath comes out of a large amount of hot water immediately, so that point is very satisfying. Also, it was easy to choose without cleaning the room (towels were supplied) and to leave the luggage.

AAnonymous UserThe reception and bathroom outside are okay, there is a washing machine, but the small room is mixed with men and women, and the curtains are not sealed, you can see inside, and the lights are dim, it is a bit scary to be alone. No one was there when we checked out. After waiting for a while, we put the room card at the front desk and left. One door is the dormitory area, and the other is the washing area. The dormitory area requires you to enter the password, but the washing area and the dormitory area are connected. You can enter the washing area casually. I feel so scared to stay overnight and run away. The price is cheap, but there is no sense of security.
