When I first set foot in DAP Hostel in Turpan, it was with the intention of a two-night stay. Fast forward two weeks later, I was still there, completely captivated by its charm and the unforgettable people I met. Named after a traditional Xinjiang instrument, this hostel doesn’t just offer beds; it provides experiences. The design is impeccable, and it’s clear there’s a deep respect for detail and the environment. But the real magic? It’s in the people. The hostel owner, the volunteers, and every fellow traveler I encountered - they transformed my trip. From acquaintances to close friends in such a short span, it was incredible. Their open-mindedness, their stories, and the warmth they exuded were infectious. I’m thrilled to say that many of those I met at the DAP Hostel are now close friends. The anticipation of reuniting with them is immense. If you ever find yourself in Turpan, and you crave genuine connections, DAP Hostel is the place. It’s more than accommodation; it’s a family waiting to be discovered.

Facilities: Two double beds. The layout is a bit like a one-bedroom and one-living room suite. It is still very spacious and has a terrace. The decoration style has a sense of design and ethnic characteristics. It is very comfortable and does not make people feel cheap or cumbersome. The air conditioner is also relatively powerful. It's actually not too hot at night, so we turned off the air conditioner. There is no elevator on the third floor. If you have a lot of luggage, you can ask the little brother to help you carry it. Environment: On Grape Folk Street, near Grape Valley, surrounded by B&Bs and with a vineyard in the backyard, the child picked grapes as he wished and was very happy. Hygiene: The overall cleaning is relatively clean. You can pay more attention to the underside of the bed. Service: The little brother's service is good, but I can't afford the room card, so I ran to the third floor to change it.

The room facilities and equipment are reasonable, the central air conditioning is very powerful, the room is very clean and comfortable, the room price is very cost-effective, it is very convenient to eat around the hotel, the surrounding environment is clean, and there is a flower garden shop at the door with a fragrant smell that makes people happy!

Actually, I had booked another hotel, but I was told that they don't accept foreigners because of the Uyghur customs. (Although this website said that people from any country can stay here...) However, they were very sincere and introduced me to this hotel with similar prices that accepts foreigners, so I made a new reservation and went straight there. The photo shown here is from the parking lot side, but it faces the main road and the appearance is not bad. The room is quite old. Mini Gs roam the room, so be careful if you don't like them. Also, I don't like the lighting in the room being too dim. When I talked to the locals, it seemed that they didn't think that this place would accept foreigners, so maybe there are only a limited number of hotels that actually accept foreigners. Well, in that sense, I'm grateful.

After the epidemic, I came to Xinjiang for the first time. The net red Turpan finally ushered in an InterContinental brand hotel. The location is excellent, the parking is convenient, the room space is large and the new version of the holiday twin room is widened and the comfort is greatly improved. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my family back in the future!

The room is clean and tidy, with exotic style, the front desk No. 2 is not only beautiful, the service is warm and thoughtful, the stay is comfortable, and I will come back next time.

Easily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more. But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit. All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

The most satisfying homestay on this trip, it feels really super 4 star standard. The homestay is in an ancient city. There are cafes and tea houses on the left and right sides of the lobby of the homestay. It is very stylish. The lobby feels Chinese style. It is very good. The room I experienced this time is also very satisfied. The things in the room are very new. The sanitation is also very clean. Each building has a housekeeper. It is very enthusiastic. There is also a opening gate performance at the gate at 10 o'clock in the evening. I heard that it is not every day. This depends on luck. We saw it. It is very good. It is a homestay made with great care. Five-star recommendation!

I came to Grape Valley with my girlfriend and found this newly opened B&B. The cabins are very unique. The decoration in the yard is very warm and has an ethnic style. The butler's service attitude is very good. The enthusiastic young man introduced us to the good things of Turpan. Food, fun, beautiful things to see, and they even helped us carry our luggage. If you are not in a hurry and really don't want to leave, you must stay a few more days next time you come. It's great.
