The Brandywine, Radnor, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
"Below is based on several stays. I do not feel particularly welcome when I come here to stay. I have stayed several times now and neither time was I greeted as a Bonvoy member or offered an upgrade even when available. During my first visit I stayed several days and my room was not cleaned. When I asked for it to be cleaned, the person I interacted with seemed cold and bothered by the request. She also was not initially apologetic or helpful. While the room was refreshed, not cleaned, I was surprised at the person’s initial attitude. While the staff are “fine” I have interacted with better staff at other hotels. Maybe I have caught them on off days but it is worth mentioning because I have met some really great staff in my travels. My first visit the room was clean and smelled nice upon check in. The next visit, the room did not smell or feel clean and had a musty smell when I checked in. When I opened the door, I thought someone was already occupying the room because of the smell and the Television was on so I called out and checked to see if someone else was there. The beds were made, towels full and tissue tied into a rose so no one was using the room upon inspection. The bathroom was also not cleaned well and the sink needed to be wiped down. I also found debris on the floors so the carpet was not vacuumed and the floors not cleaned well. When you stay in a hotel consistent sanitizing and cleaning should be the standard. Lately, Marriott has missed the mark on adhering to these standards even at relatively new places. Please note, I am grateful to housekeeping staff because I know it is a difficult job but I very much dislike checking in a room that is not clean and does not smell clean either. While I am working or visiting family/friends, at minimum I need to be able to feel comfortable and sleep well when I travel. The rooms are beautifully appointed. It is obvious great care was put in decorating the rooms. The bathroom is a very nice size. I also like the shower has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is good. There is a nice tub but I prefer walk in showers. The bathroom is also a beautiful green color with gold trimming. The towels and washcloths are very nice quality The beds are comfortable. However, the quality of the linen is terrible. The bed linen looks and feels terrible. It is completely wrinkled, including the duvet. The pillows also smell. Hotels use to have pristine pressed linen, especially a hotel like Brandywine. My bed should not look like someone else just got out of it and the pillows and linen should be clean and smell fresh. A desk and chair are in the room to get work done. Unfortunately, if you are in town for business there are no business areas to work in the hotel and no place to take calls outside of your room. There is no closet but a place to hand some clothes and place your shoes, you can stack bags on the very top. The lobby should also be noted for its décor. There are plenty of "

"The most satisfying hotel in the East 1 month of the West and the West! The children like it very much! It is also the most impressive, the staff is very friendly, and the restaurant staff is very warm! The only downside is that there is no laundry drying room! A little regrettable."
