My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Arena Towers on 5 to 12 July 2022. This hotel is well placed for Airport connection (2nd stop and regular) as well as for the metro. The hotel has a basic gym' and plenty of areas to sit down and relax. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, the 2 barmen/waiters on the 1st floor restaurant/bar are by far the most efficient, friendliest and generally decent hotel staff I have come across in many years. They made the hotel extra special. I did notice the cost of the room was very high one night and found out that the Rolling Stones were playing at the nearly Ajax stadium. I would however definitely recommend the hotel and hope to return soon as, coming from the Western Isles of Scotland, there are good KLM services direct from Inverness airport. Highly recommended.

Very well priced, two minute walk from metro station. From the airport to the hotel was one train and one metro,really easy. While dining options close by are limited , a short one metro stop and you are in the arena district with countless options. Very helpful staff, nice rooms, not spotless but have seen much worse. Also very easy to access old town, that metro that stops out front will take you there in 25 minutes. We liked it because it took us away from the crowds.

Not for the centre of Amsterdam at all but within sight of the arena. 15 minute walk from the arena station. Friendly staff very modern hotel, very nice room. Tv. Excellent shower air con sfe etc all good and very up to date. Offer breakfast, not much open at the arena on Sunday morning, so there is not much else in local area, so breakfast is something to consider. The staff were very helpful, multilingual, and very helpful. The bar said open till 11 but was shut way before then, but they sell beer and soft drinks through a vending machine. Really comfortable large bed. Excellent hotel.

Great western Amsterdam is a very good hotel if you prefer to stay a little quiet area. It’s about 30 mins to get into Amsterdam central station and all the popular sight seeing places.

The hotel was great. Very good quality of the equipment. But the services from the Reception was very unkind. The online booking was not great because they announced in Booking website they are not charge the credit card before the the date of the arrival. But they have tried a lot of time to charge my credit card during more than 1 week then they blocked my bank account because my bank though a tentative of fraud. I paid my bank to unblock and made a new credit card. They said it was to save the room... So they are not really in phase with the information giving on their profile in Booking.com. After that, at our arrival, they tried to charge more than expected my reservation (the amount they blocked in my credit card + the full amount of my entire reservation so more than 420 Euros)

Missed flight and booked here last minute. Was told its fully booked when arrived and so they upgraded me to the sister apartment hotel next door which shares the same building.

The apartment room is superb with high ceiling, full set of kitchenettes so u can cook and bake even with dish washers!
Love the sofa and arm chair pick for the living room and very spacious shower space with good hot water pressure.
Pretty sure this will make a great stay if u r spending a few more days and in group!
Airport train station just across the street so ~15-20mins to airport, or can take bus 369 at the bus terminal across the bridge, great location in general!
P.s. pretty sure u get to see the sunset from room view too!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Amsterdam. It is 35 minutes ride via tram 17 from the central station, but you might have to wait it for about 10 minutes, and there is a 15 minutes walk from tram stop to hotel, so you are looking for about 1 hour to get from hotel to city center. It is a residential area, and there is nothing interesting nearby though you can eat at a very decent Sahan restaurant. On the other hand we saw rabbits and geese near the hotel :-) The room and bathroom were really large, there were beds, a chair, and armchair, a desk, a small round table, a dresser, a closet. The breakfast cost 14.50 euro. and it was excellent. There were hot items (scrambled eggs, fried bacon, kidney beans), cheese, sausages, fruits, pastries, different type of bread, juices, etc. The room and bathroom were clean but the cleaning team cold do better (I accidently dropped a cotton ball on the shower floor and found it on the next day on the same place). Unfortunately there was no tea/coffee in the room. You can buy tea at the reception but it would cost 2 euro. There was no refrigerator in the room. The staff is nice and helping customers providing maps etc. The hotel located about 15-20 minutes from the airport which is also convenient for visiting Keukenhof gardens.

GGuest UserI couldn't be more pleased with this hostel! I highly recommend it. The hostel, including bathrooms and showers, was very clean. The beds were super cozy and comfortable and offered some privacy. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Bonus points that the lobby always smelled like toast or freshly baked cookies! Also, the bike rental service was fantastic. One suggestion for improvement is that it would have been nice to have some wall hangers in the room. Since there were none, people resorted to hanging stuff from the bed ladders or just putting it on the floor.

GGuest UserTrust me you will not be disappointed. The hotel is clean and modern. The hospitality is beyond amazing. The friendliest front desk that is available 24/7. Location is spot on. Train station, including busses, metro etc across the road and no more than a 5 minute walk. Was 1 stop to get into the centre of Amsterdam and very easy to navigate the public transport to venture into different neighborhoods as well. Hands down I will recommend hotel2stay to everyone heading to Amsterdam ! Thank you so much to all the staff that made our stay so pleasurable.

AAdamLocation is amazing, a short walk from the main train station which is needed after a long day from travelling in order to get to Amsterdam. You have everything you need around you if really you do not intend to explore this beautiful city.
We paid for the wellness room which had a jacuzzi and a sauna, it was a massive let down as firstly their was no view whatsoever, the sauna was very poor and only goes up to 110 Fahrenheit which equates to 43 degrees Celsius. This temperature doesn’t even allow it to be called a sauna as they are supposed to traditionally run between 65-90 Celsius. But it gets worse this sauna is absolutely tiny to the point where it is not possible to fit two full adults in here and you’d also have to let it run for well over 30mins to heat up. The jacuzzi was pretty big but take in mind it has a self clean system that is extremely loud and went on for over 15mins it’s a real shame that there isn’t any view whatsoever as the jacuzzi experience was mild. They gave us gowns to use as well as plenty of towels which was appreciated.
The room itself was good, the bed was very comfortable, tv was decent and they provided a coffee machine and fridge but the only downside of the room design was that the toilet and shower had separate rooms and the only sink was also separate and was located in the actual bedroom itself (very odd)
Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again as the sauna is absolutely useless and the lack of any view whatsoever is really disappointing when you pay so much money.

GGuest UserOh my, I loved staying at BUNK Hotel Amsterdam. I was first attracted by the good reviews of this young hostel/hotel hybrid, booked it far enough in advance for an early bird discount, and just a couple of days into my seven day stay, I realized I'd truly gotten a great deal. BUNK Amsterdam is fantastic! Ugh, where to start? I rented a pod, which is in a large room containing about 50 pods. Pods are preferable to bunk beds or other kinds of barrack-style hostels. There is privacy, there is enough space for you to get comfortable, change your clothes, the mattress is fine, the blanket and pillow are very cushy and cozy, the curtain is thick and heavy. The lighting situation inside the pod is unique, one of those switches with a lot of color and tone options, so you can really light the pod to your mood. I slept very well considering I was in a room with 30-50 other people at any given time. You also get a private locker beneath your pod that can fit a suitcase and a backpack with relative ease, unless you've overpacked.
The bathroom is non-gendered, all the stalls are very clean and private. As a guy, it felt weird to use the bathroom while women were in it, so I blasted music in my earbuds to tune the world out while I did my business, ha. The showers are in a separate room and also very private. The water pressure is great and the showerheads are waterfall style. They have towels available at all hours. If you don't see any on the rack, just ask and there they shall be.
The biggest surprise for me here was the restaurant. The restaurant attached to BUNK is basically a 4-star restaurant with 2-star prices. They have a full bar with well-priced drinks and very skilled, very handsome bartenders/baristas who can craft a wide arrays of cocktails. The chefs are also highly skilled, and the servers are attentive and kind. The menu is diverse, ranging from avocado toast to an interesting Indonesia beef stew-like dish that I can only describe as mind-blowingly delicious. They also featured a ”taco” that was very tasty despite really not being a taco at all. My favorite breakfast (and perhaps favorite overall meal) was their Eggs Bennie with fresh smoked salmon. For dessert, on multiple occasions I ordered their popular Snickers dessert, which was peanut ice cream with caramel and shards of chocolate and brittle. I meant to do more foodie tourism during my week in Amsterdam, but the food was so good I wound up taking a good percentage of my meals in the BUNK restaurant. I snapped some pictures of the food I mentioned; it should go without saying that I am not a pro photographer.
The front desk is manned (or womaned) 24/7, so anytime there was an issue or I had a question, someone was available. They are very attentive with regards to customer service. I should also note with their keycard system and network of entrances and hallways, I felt very safe. They care about security there and take proper, non-intrusive methods to make sure everyone is comfortable. I should also mention the facility is just beautiful. It's built within a very old church, there is a library, plants everywhere, a calming vibe throughout, and a quiet room for work or study.
BUNK is located in the North section of Amsterdam (Noord). Noord is the quieter part of Amsterdam, suburb feeling as opposed to the city vibe elsewhere. It's extremely easy to get to the Central area from here though. There is a ferry about a 10 minute walk away that takes you to the central area, as well as a tram a five minute walk away that takes you directly to Centraal Station.
I really hit a home run choosing this place, BUNK Amsterdam truly delivered the goods. Great building, great amenities, great staff, great restaurant, great location. I would recommend this to anyone traveling solo or as a couple/small group. Very small group. It's great to stay for a couple of days or a whole week. I loved my experience here and would stay again if/when I return to Amsterdam. Great place.

GGuest UserAfter our Viking Rhine Cruise ended in Amsterdam, we planned to stay the night to check out the city. This hotel had the right combination of price, location, and amenities. We chose one of the 2nd floor suits which included a balcony for smoking. The room was located above the side street which was lined with sycamore trees so the balcony was screened by the branches—it was lovely. Noise level was not bad since this was not the tourist sector but it was still the city so it wasn’t quiet or dark. The room was spacious especially the bathroom. From the hotel we walked to the old city and passed several canals along the way. We didn’t wind up eating at the hotel but we did order from the bar and the bartender was friendly. The staff was friendly and called a cab for us in the morning to get to the airport. Would stay here again.

GGuest UserOverall experience wasn't bad. No AC so be mindful if booking during summers with rising heatwaves. The hotel itself is a labyrinth to access which is annoying for accessibility. Check in is said to happen ahead via email but it in fact still takes up much time in person. Mostly recommend young folks working just above a hostel budget. But I was very satisfied with the location as Amsterdam central can be too chaotic. And the employees were really lovely. Especially bar folks. It's bustling with people and music so definitely more of a young crowd/artsy vibe.

GGuest UserThis hotel was firstly picked due to previous reviews, location and price. So everything was good here. All the staff we met were good friendly people, well done. We had a room for 3 persons that was situated at the back of the hotel, nice and quiet away from the road noise. Room was 114. A decent size with 3 single beds, and a Nespresso machine!, brilliant. room was clean and tidy and towels were changed every day even though we tried to save them. Didn't eat here so can commit. We had an opening window into a wooded area, that was good to see the parrots flying around, however a bit of a mess outside and someone has left their shovel!. We used the bus from the airport that stops just around the corner from this hotel, and costs around £6.50 a single journey. So really handy to get there. The hotel is a short walk from the main areas, so a good plus point. Would I stay at this hotel again, and recommend for the reasons I picked it? YES

Very good location near the city center and therefore I can kinda understand the price of the room etc
My room was on the 3rd floor, the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, not really a big deal but a bit weird.
Don't get me wrong, the room itself felt clean and fresh, nothing to complain about there besides that the shower pressure was insanly low, sometimes the water just stopped running at all during a shower...
But the big issue is the size of the room itself and what you get for over a €100 a night, I booked a single room for one person, and the room feels like it's built around the frame of the bed, the room is incredible small, smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the most expensive one as well.
The bathroom is so small that the toilet is placed just behind the sink so you barely have room to actually sit on the toilet, and the glass door to the shower can only be opened on one side... the side where the sink is so you have about 30cm of room to get out of the shower because the sink is in the way...
Like I said, the room felt clean and fresh, but it is ridiculously small.
Overall a good stay, the room was good enough for sleeping in but for the size of the room and what you pay for it doesn't really add up, over a €100 a night for a room barely bigger than the bed itself is kinda weird.

LLeeAccommodation right across the street from Heineken. Location is good. The city museum and the Van Gogh museum are close, so it's easy to walk around. It's far from the train station, but you can get there in 10 minutes by subway.
The accommodation is definitely old and has some old parts, but considering the price, it is satisfactory. I used a small single room, but the bedding was dirty, the bed lights were not on, and I could hear the hallway sound well, so I knocked on the next room and knew it was my room. However, the view outside the window was good, the bathroom was clean, and above all, the advantage of being able to use a room alone at the price of a shared dormitory accommodation. There is also a vending machine on the first floor, and you can use a microwave.
Luggage storage before and after check-in. Although it is a closet, it is not a locked space, so you cannot leave valuables in it.
And the biggest advantage is having a cat. It's a complete doggie, so if you pet it, it will lie flat on its back. I want to go see the cat again.
