"Hygiene: Clean, tidy, and comfortable. They were actually cleaning when we arrived, and the shower water was nice and hot – so refreshing after a long day of walking. Environment: The location is great, very quiet around the accommodation, and within a 5-minute walk, there are tons of food options, which is super convenient. Perfect for independent travelers. Service: The owner is wonderful! They're a local and know everything about Putuoshan. The service was absolutely excellent; on our last day, they even helped us get our luggage directly to the pier. Facilities: The rooms are converted from local residential homes, but they are budget-friendly, clean, and hygienic. They even provide disposable bath towels, which is a nice touch."

"A hotel that brings peace to your mind 🏨 📍Location: Next to Puji Temple's Dacheng Nunnery. You can contact the hotel for a pick-up service after getting off the boat. 🏠Room: I stayed in a duplex suite. The second floor has a balcony and a tea room, perfect for enjoying tea while transcribing scriptures. The first floor features a large table, a mini-bar, and a separate wet/dry bathroom. The room was very quiet, possibly because it was located further inside the building. 💁🏻Service: The housekeeper was friendly, and all the staff I encountered were very welcoming. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Highlights: * The overall decor style is very comfortable, utilizing a lot of natural light. The central 'Pure Vase Tree' landscape is very soothing to the eyes. * Excellent location, right next to Dacheng Nunnery, where Changsheng Zhai Cai (a vegetarian restaurant) is located. It's also not far from Fayu Temple, about a 20-minute walk. * Breakfast was noteworthy 😋 * The shuttle service between the hotel and the pier is a great perk, as the public shuttle buses on the island are notoriously difficult to catch. You can walk along the path, pray along the way to the pier, and then take the hotel shuttle back (confirm in advance). * Being able to transcribe scriptures and burn incense in the room really helps calm the mind. * Complimentary welcome fruit is provided daily, and the fruit was very sweet 😘"

"The hotel offers a shuttle service, and we called ahead to book it. However, the shuttle left without us, and we ended up waiting in the scorching sun for about 10 more minutes. We had to contact the front desk again and find our own way there. I think the front desk should coordinate better with the shuttle service regarding the number of guests and their contact information; it would greatly improve the guest experience. When I booked, I specifically requested not to have a room at the end of a hallway or directly facing a corridor, but that's exactly what we got. The room's window also overlooked the roof. We visited on a weekday, not a holiday, so I'm surprised the hotel was so fully booked. The room size was quite small, and the bathroom and shower were especially tiny. The facilities were standard. The shower sometimes had inconsistent hot water, alternating between cold and hot. The concierge and housekeeping staff were polite, though. Breakfast was decent. The main advantage is the location, being less than a 5-minute walk from Puji Temple and close to the island's minibus stop."
