Stepping into the room, I was instantly captivated by its brand-new, luxurious feel. Everything was new, with no unpleasant odors, just a fresh, natural wood scent.
🏠 Ambiance: The decor is exquisite and thoughtfully designed. With the warm lighting, the atmosphere is instantly elevated – they really understand what young people are looking for.
🛏️ Facilities: The mattress was perfectly balanced, not too soft, not too firm, and I slept soundly all night. The bathroom features high-end brands, and the water pressure is strong, making a shower feel like a spa treatment.
❤️ Service: The front desk staff were as friendly as an older brother next door, responding quickly to any request. The experience was absolutely perfect.

KKatrin SauthoffMy husband and I are a couple from Germany. We booked two nights there, and our decision was absolutely the right one. From the initial contact (via the WeChat app, which is essential for your entire trip to China) to our departure, everything was perfect. We were picked up from the train station by car and taken to the hotel free of charge. This is especially good for Western tourists who don't speak Chinese. The first problem would have been explaining to the taxi where we wanted to go. The lobby and rooms are very beautiful, stylish, and equipped with the highest technology. Most of the guest rooms face the inner courtyard, so you can sleep very quietly and comfortably. The beds are very large and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent. It's located on the northern edge of the Ancient City of Datong, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist attractions and the colorful and lively old town. So you can enjoy it without being disturbed by noise. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, we don't speak Chinese, and the staff didn't speak English, but with the help of modern communication tools (language apps), we understood each other perfectly. Every request was fulfilled. There's even the option to use a washing machine in the basement of the hotel. This is especially fantastic for tourists on longer trips to China, as it allows for easy laundry. If you ever come back to China, we will definitely book this hotel again.

GGuest UserI've wanted to stay here for a long time, and this family trip finally made that dream come true. The check-in experience was excellent, and the facilities showed incredible attention to detail. The complimentary toiletries pack even included electric toothbrushes and Gillette razors, and all the snacks provided were from Sam's Club. Breakfast was exceptional – an à la carte style where they'd prepare whatever you ordered. Everything tasted fantastic, and there were plenty of choices. Enjoying delicious pastries in the courtyard under the sun was a truly wonderful experience!
In the evening, friends came over, and we sat on the courtyard sofa, chatted, drank tea, and watched the clouds in the night sky. We even caught a drone show from Dai Wang Mansion, which was truly delightful! We also toured the owner's private museum and wine cellar. It certainly lives up to its reputation as a courtyard built with 200 million yuan; the main gate in the middle is 200 years old. Every detail exudes taste and grandeur!
The service was excellent too. Although there weren't many staff members, they were very responsive. When my shoes got wet in the heavy rain, they even brought a hairdryer to dry them for me – I was truly grateful! In short, the value for money at this price is unbeatable! Five-star recommendation! 👍👍👍👍👍
Overall, a fantastic stay, but I do have a few suggestions to offer:
1. Only the door could be opened for ventilation in the room; the windows didn't open. It would be great if there was a way to allow for cross-ventilation.
2. The hotel doesn't provide parking vouchers. While overnight parking was only 20 yuan, offering vouchers would enhance the guest experience.
3. Perhaps due to concerns about some guests occupying a room with too many people, I was repeatedly asked during check-in how many individuals were staying in our room, which I found a bit off-putting.

GGuest UserI discovered a treasure of a B&B hotel that opened this month~~ Pingchengfu is very close to various attractions. In two days, I went to Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, Datong Museum, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, Jingtu Temple, and watched the sunset from the city wall, the intangible cultural heritage of iron flower, etc. Datong city construction is great! Overall, the accommodation experience was full, and I also ate at Kaige Restaurant and Longjuxiang recommended by locals. The overall travel experience was great! Thank you for the service of the B&B brothers and sisters, which is very good. The environment is quiet in the bustling city, and the decoration is antique. If I have the opportunity to come to Datong again next time, I will continue to book! Looking forward to seeing you next time

🌄 When we were watching the sunrise over the city wall in the morning,
the front desk小姐姐 (young lady) quietly filled our thermos with ginger tea.
She said, ”The morning wind is strong, have something warm.”
This was the first time I encountered turndown service where they actually pulled the duvet up from the bottom. Even at the St. Regis Macau, I always had to struggle to pull the duvet up myself.
These unexpected moments of warmth made the entire trip feel incredibly special!
💡 Little tips:
The hotel offers a guided tour service for the art gallery daily.
The floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offer stunning views of the sunset.
It's advisable to bring a jacket as there's a significant temperature difference between morning and evening.

GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff members were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was also very good! Our room was comfy and spacious, the only problem we had with it was that it felt too hot for us even with the aircon/heating off and right before we left we could feel some bad smell coming from the pipes. We didn't report this as we were leaving but we're sure the hotel would have helped and sorted this for us (they offered changing our room when we said it was too hot for us, for example). The location of the hotel was very useful to explore the ancient city and the hotel helped us book a private car to see the grottoes and hanging temple - great experience!
We'd consider staying here again if/when we visit Dating again. :)

The minimalist design of the room was exactly my style. It was very spacious, making it easy to move around.
The service was excellent. Every day, I received WeChat reminders for things like room cleaning and breakfast reservations for the next day. When checking out, they helped me with my luggage to the taxi, and I was pleasantly surprised with a welcome gift upon arrival.
It seems to be a pet-friendly hotel; besides the resident cats and dogs, guests also brought their own pets, which created a really lovely atmosphere.

The people who drink in the lobby outside are still talking and singing and listening to music. The room is relatively humid, and people who don't sleep well are not recommended to live. Hotel location is excellent, in the ancient city, the center of Southeast, next to the famous sea buckthorn ice cream and Buddha Xiaoban store, Guandi Temple is less than 10 minutes walk, Shanhua Temple is 6 minutes by taxi, Huayan Temple is 8 minutes by taxi, the hotel is diagonally opposite the highest food in Southeast Yuanli ”Zhang Zhang Vegetables”, At night, the red lanterns of the trees in the alley are very comfortable and relaxed.
The hotel service focuses on a warm heart. Breakfast has millet ginseng, knife noodles, grilled yellow croaker, small ribs, hand-teared chicken, freshly squeezed juices, coffee milk hot soy milk, the dishes are exquisite and full of sincerity, and the main thing is that you can't be hungry. At night, swinging in the yard, the handsome male waiter passed by and saw, smiling and coming: cold outside at night, if you feel cold, I will bring you a cup of hot water! Facilities: simple, beautiful and practical. The night view of the ancient city on the second floor is beautiful. The shampoo is my own brand for home use and the familiar taste. In particular, I have to say that the bathrobe feels different from other hotel towels, and it is super comfortable to wear (children like it very much). Send a pack of steam eye masks, as well as bath balls, masks, bath towels, disposable underwear towels and other series, mouthwash, the first day of useless and the second day still sent... silent dedication to glowing fever.
On the last day, I walked up to the car and sent a big bag (surprise!) The bag was full of specialties. 😭 The child said that it was too relaxing and comfortable and wanted to come later.
