GGuest UserThe experience at Pamana Hotel Dianchi Convention and Exhibition Center was superb! The overall style is elegant, like an oriental courtyard, with a tranquil and serene environment. The rooms are clean and tidy, equipped with smart facilities, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The rooftop terrace offers excellent views of Dianchi Lake. The staff provided warm and thoughtful service, and transportation is also very convenient. My stay was perfect, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time. The complimentary photoshoot was a great bonus! 😎

AAnonymous UserOur butler, Bianca, was incredibly warm and attentive. She anticipated our needs and even gave a souvenir to my child. A huge bonus was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the concierge brought them directly to our room! The hotel's central location is perfect, directly connected to the Plaza 66 mall. On days with bad weather, we could easily pop over to the mall for some shopping. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kunming!

GGuest UserThe best thing about Cachet is the location, right in the middle of a very lively area with upscale bars and restaurants and cafes, quiet neighborhood of tree-lined streets with old school walk-up apartments. The hotel rooms and facilities aren't the newest and while the design isn't exactly up to date it's quite unique. Cool artwork in the lobby. Rooms are huge. I had a 4th floor room with great views. Started my day with the tea set; there's also a pod-type coffee machine. On the top floor there's a laundry room gym and billiards. A bit old though so that area could use a refresh. The restaurant operates as a German-style brewpub open to the public except during breakfast. So they have German sausage which was very good. (We had to ask for yellow mustard, which they should have out instead of ketchup!) The breads weren't fresh though. Was really impressed with the quality of the broth in the noodle bar. Front desk service was really nice & helpful. They did a good job keeping our Taobao packages for us so they were ready when we arrived.

AArcturianLocation: Situated within the Sunac Houhai scenic area, it's very close to Qikong Bridge and offers a lovely green 'grass sea' walking path, which is very convenient. It's about four kilometers from Daguan Park. This location keeps you away from the tacky and overpriced old streets. Nearby, there's a delicious Yunnan Daoguo Bridge Rice Noodles restaurant where the sour fruit and red soup noodles are excellent. There's also a great handmade bakery with fantastic cakes and some coffee shops with really creative flavors. The night view is also beautiful, with many lanterns.
Service: The front desk staff were absolutely amazing, a big thumbs up! The tea cakes served with afternoon tea were also very tasty.
Breakfast: Made fresh for each table. I stayed for two nights and there were different menu options to choose from.
On the second day, my room was upgraded to an English-style river view king room, and the view was fantastic.

LLijuan ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

LLavinia Ꮤ💐During my stay in Kunming, I chose this hotel renowned for its tropical ambiance. Upon check-in, there were certainly commendable aspects, as well as a few minor disappointments, which I'll honestly document for fellow travelers' reference.
🌴The hotel's most captivating feature is its environment. The lush, layered greenery gives the distinct impression of being in a tropical garden. The space is expansive, and the rooms are quite spacious with a well-designed layout, making for a very comfortable stay. Although it's been open for some years, it's evident that maintenance is meticulous; the walls, floors, and furniture are kept clean and tidy, with no signs of age. The vibrant green foliage is abundant, with winding paths creating a serene atmosphere. Being here feels like escaping into a quiet, hidden sanctuary deep within the city, far from the hustle and bustle, with the evening breeze rustling through the trees, gentle and relaxing.🍃
🏋🏻♀️I also want to specifically mention the fitness center and swimming pool. Their size is uncommon for hotels of this type, with a full range of equipment and crystal-clear pool water, making for an invigorating swim. The changing room facilities are also well-equipped. For those who regularly exercise, these are definite bonus features.
☔️However, during this stay, I also encountered a few minor disappointments. What was particularly disheartening was the lack of appropriate service etiquette. The hotel's greeting service seemed subjectively biased, treating guests inconsistently. I observed other arrivals being greeted with polite welcomes and gentle assistance with their luggage, while upon my arrival, no one inquired or assisted me. This disparity, the absence of a warm greeting or help, subtly diminished the initial excitement I felt upon entering the hotel.
Furthermore, for me personally, the mattress was too soft, and the pillow height wasn't ideal, leading to some shoulder and neck discomfort after a night's sleep. The comfort level definitely didn't meet my expectations.
Also, my friend arrived before me, and the room they were initially assigned had a leaking ceiling, possibly due to old facilities in some rooms. While the hotel promptly addressed it, I still hope that housekeeping can thoroughly inspect rooms before assigning them to guests.

GGuest UserTraveling solo in Kunming, my stay at Old Big Foot International Youth Hostel completely exceeded my expectations – it's truly an ideal haven for backpackers!
The location is absolutely unbeatable. Just a few steps out the door is Zhuanxin market, where I could get everything from tofu rice noodles and Dai-style snacks to fresh fruit in one go. It's also not far from the subway station, making it super easy to get to all the major attractions around the city. The hostel itself has a courtyard bursting with bougainvillea, and you'll find traveler messages and map check-in walls everywhere. The downstairs bar is perfect for sunbathing during the day, and for listening to music and chatting at night, sometimes with guests playing guitar – it's such a gentle and therapeutic atmosphere.
The accommodation details are incredibly thoughtful. Every bed has a full blackout curtain, creating a private little space when drawn. The bedding was clean and odorless, there was 24-hour hot water, and the cleaning staff tidied regularly, so the bathrooms were completely free of any smells. They provide lockable lockers and self-service washer and dryer machines, so no worries about valuables or laundry. The front desk staff were incredibly patient, offering detailed recommendations for local tours and free luggage storage. Their 24-hour presence made me, as a solo female traveler, feel completely safe.
It's really easy to meet like-minded travel companions here. There are plenty of activities like billiards, movie nights, and city walks, so you never have to worry about feeling lonely. The prices are affordable, the facilities are comprehensive, and the atmosphere is warm. It's perfect whether you're staying for a short visit or just passing through. I wholeheartedly recommend it to solo travelers who enjoy a lively, authentic vibe!

GGuest UserEvery time I transit through Yunnan, I make sure to stay at Tuofeng for a few days before heading back to Xuanwei. There are so many shopping malls, great food, and relaxation spots nearby. What I love most is the enormous wooden balcony in the guesthouse rooms. Outside the balcony railing is a row of trees I can't quite name, their leaves are like ginkgo, and they're currently covered in black berries. Sitting out there, feeling the breeze, and sipping on hot glutinous rice tea is incredibly relaxing and cozy! It instantly washes away most of my work fatigue. The bedding and storage lockers in the room are top-notch. I also caught two football matches at the bar. The young lady at the front desk was very elegant and incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive.
