The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the ancient city, and a taxi ride in Datong Ancient City only costs about 8 yuan. It's okay to live in one house with two children, and the sanitary conditions are quite satisfactory. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that if you need sheets or slippers, it's best to think about it before going upstairs. Because the service desk is on the first floor, it is not very convenient whether you go downstairs to pick it up yourself or have it delivered upstairs.

Environment: I live on the 25th floor, the environment is pretty good, you can see the ancient city from a distance, and you can see the stars at night when the weather is good. Facilities: Disposable bath towels are charged, which I think is not reasonable. And a deposit of 100 yuan is required, check out before 9 o'clock on the last day, and the deposit is not refunded until 2 pm. There is no front desk phone, you add the manager's WeChat and communicate with WeChat. The shower is the kind of solar heat storage. If two girls take a shower, they have to wait for the water heater to slowly heat up before they can use it. It also cools down quickly, and the shower experience is not good. Service: The service is very good. The front desk lady and the male manager who added WeChat are all very good. Very easy to talk to. Hygiene: It can be said that the hygiene is hard to describe. The table is definitely not wiped, and my friend's bed probably didn't even change the cup. It was dirty...very disgusting...Fortunately, I brought my own pillowcases and other isolation.

Was asked all kinds of questions when checking in (where I was going, what I was travelling for, where I was coming from and how I got to Datong. They even asked to see my train ticket!). Being interrogated on arrival doesn't feel very friendly, and nowhere else in Datong or other parts of China was I asked these questions.

The room is relatively clean, there is no strange smell, and the overall environment is quite good. The soundproofing may be poor, but holiday hotels are hard to find. There is a park opposite the hotel, not far from the ancient city, just a few minutes' taxi ride away. There is a paid parking lot next to it. It's quite big, but it's enclosed and easy to miss. The location is great, near the west gate in the ancient city (about five minutes walk), three minutes walk to Huayan Temple, five or six minutes walk to Sandaocai Bell Tower, and one minute to Huayan Temple bus station. During the May Day holiday, the ancient city is restricted by time, so the area near the bus station and the ancient city gate is very important. If you stay in the B&B hotels in the ancient street at the entrance of Huayan Temple, you have to walk out to take a bus (the pedestrian street car can't enter), so the location is really amazing. The scenic spots in the ancient city can be reached by bus. The first floor is the lobby (café), the second floor is the guest rooms, restaurant and courtyard, and there is a balcony on the second floor, where you can drink tea or coffee while looking at Huayan Temple. The breakfast is a set meal, very healthy, with fruits, eggs, vegetables, co**** grains, knife-cut noodles, bread slices, etc. The room we stayed in was not particularly large, but it was ok. Only the bathroom was slightly small, with complete bathroom supplies and clean hygiene. The service was very good, there was water and sea buckthorn juice in the room, and it was a very warm family. The child said that he would stay here again when he came to Datong next time, and he wanted to change to a room with a loft.

Fantastic service, friendly, helpful, very clean and spacious rooms, really nice view over the river and at night with all of the lights. Breakfast is good, the facilities are clean and presentable. The room was quiet and the window can be opened if you want fresh air or to cool down the room a bit, the ac works too to cool it down in winter but that’s recirculated air with some people smoking in non-smoking rooms (typical). Our room did not smell which was great and although we had neighbours we could not hear them, so good for light sleepers. Only downside is the bed is firm. Quick 10 minute didi to the ancient city, malls, delicious lunch and food places. The hotel organised a driver to take us to the hanging temple, yungang grottoes and then to a delicious local restaurant very affordable, helpful, reliable and kind driver (WeChat: 永恒). Also recommend going to the art gallery and museum only 10 mins away. It’s a good location.
