Hotels near The Carousel in Geelong

"I had a particularly satisfying stay this time. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and shopping, with plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, handling check-in and check-out efficiently with a gentle and polite attitude. The room was clean and tidy, with a logical layout, soft and comfortable bedding, and great sound insulation, ensuring a very quiet night's rest. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, all toiletries were complete and clean, and there was ample hot water supply. The overall environment and hygiene were well-maintained; there were no unpleasant odors in the hallways or public areas. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including meat, vegetables, desserts, and drinks, all tasting homely and offering good value. The hotel provides great value for money, with comprehensive facilities and attentive service, leading to a wonderful living experience. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone."

"This was our first stop on our road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, via the Great Ocean Road. As it was my first time driving a right-hand-drive car, I chose Geelong, being the closest to Melbourne, as our initial stopover. The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of Geelong Beach and behind Geelong's commercial center, making it convenient for dining and stocking up for a long drive. Both the hotel room and bathroom were spacious and bright, and at least upon check-in, they were very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and proactively arranged valet parking. Since there were three of us, housekeeping promptly set up and made the sofa bed. I do have to mention a common drawback: there were no disposable slippers. And another common issue: in today's personalized era, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided aren't really that useful. It would be better to save on those and instead provide guests with disposable slippers and shower caps."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a great experience for our family, and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"I absolutely love Eden Oak! It's surrounded by lush greenery within a park setting, and features a hot spring swimming pool. The rooms are uniquely styled, clean, and hygienic, fully equipped with hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The mini-fridge, tea, and coffee are all provided. The lobby's design is stunning, and the breakfast is rich and nutritious, with coffee and drinks that I really enjoy. I've been here six times already; whenever I need a getaway, this is where I think of. My entire family, young and old, loves it. It's less than a two-hour drive from Melbourne. Highly recommended to everyone!"

"Staffs arr very kind and hospitable. They upgraded the room for us from ground floor to 9th floor and from the room we can see the sea. The unit is very well-equipped and comfortable. There are washer and dryer, fidge and freezer and dishwashee. It takes only 2-3 minutes walk to the sea and to Westfield Mall. In all we are so impressed with everything."

"The hotel is a straight 15-minute walk from the station, though it's mostly cars zipping by and very few pedestrians. Geelong in winter can be quite warm when the sun's out, but it gets windy and a bit chilly on cloudy days. This isn't a big hotel; it's a two-story apartment building. Check-in is at 2 PM, but you can drop your luggage off at the front desk if you arrive early. I booked a one-bedroom apartment but was upgraded to a two-bedroom. It had a living room and dining area, complete with a microwave, oven, fridge, stove, and all sorts of pots, pans, and tableware. They even provided salt, pepper, and dish soap – a really thoughtful touch. There's also a washer and dryer, which is great for longer stays if you need to wash larger items. The appliances were different from what I'm used to back home, so it took a little time to figure out how to use them."

"loved my experience here! stayed in the king suite and the room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable. had the continental breakfast buffet (includes muffins, croissants, cereal, cured meat, fruits, eggs and barista made coffee, everything was yummy!) with wonderful service. 10/10 would come back if I'm around the area!"

"My star at Rydges Geelong was excellent. Staff very polite & accommodating facilities excellent. Cleanliness excellent throughout all areas. Highly recommend"

"Stayed as a family of 4, the apartment had enough space and a small balcony with a direct view of the Ferris wheel on the seaside. We loved the location of the hotel, especially the kids!"

"Good stop over place in Geelong before travelling down to great ocean road. Location is near enough to the city center but away from the noise and crowd. Great burger joint right by the motel too. Lift provided to transport luggages upstairs to rooms."
